    This is my RV and I’m thrilled with end result. Joe and Kim really went the extra mile with me and my coach. They did a ton of work and and a lot of details you don’t see here. I will update as time goes by, but it made the 800 mile trip home without issue and I expect many years of the same!
    Thank you again Joe, Kim and staff!

      Very welcome sir. We look forward to your earliest visit for your initial in inspection. Thank you for the work and the long travel you made. We take that seriously here that's why we make su re e it's right before it goes out. I tell my guys folks don't pay us for half ass work....they can get that locally.

    Great job. No one even comes close to the quality job that you do on rv roofs. This is the reason I chose you to do our roof. I wouldn't even consider a standard rv roof after first watching a few of your video's. I sure am glad that I stumbled across your business on here before I had my roof replaced.

    Great job on the Jayco Seneca and great video as well. Your videos have helped me understand my Son's Trailer that he just bought.We are planning to do Roof in the spring together. Spent 28 years as a Roofer and understand what you are doing for your customers, you are saving their investment. You install a Roof that is superior to what the manufacturers offer in every way, curbs are essential on a Roof not "Moats" of caulking. Thanks for your help.

      Good luck on your project. Make sure you rip up the decking and check the insulation, wires and duct work.

      @@RVROOFINSTALLThank you, my Son's trailer is small with a level flat top with no shoulders, extremely simple compared to one of your jobs. I will be sure to check everything underneath. What you take on goes way beyond Roofing, I admire your knowledge and creative solutions, your customers are lucky to have you take care of their RVs. Thanks for noticing my comment, you are a good man.

      @@rodshore2242 rod if the roof top is flat then chances are it plyfoam. The roof is probably an inch. Take the vent garnish out and see if it is white inside. The pro lem is the trusses are undersized and the roof deck just has ⅛ in luan. That will sag and you being a roofer know what ponding water does to a roof.

      I am old school, when quality meant something vs the now...Corporate Amercia attitude is to just get them out an sold so the numbers look higher and better. Nowadays everyone wants to specialize in one thing...framing...dryall...finishers...gutter..etc. The problem is that no one knows what comes next so the guy who follows ignores what needs to be done and so on. My dad was a General contractor. I had to learn how to dig footer..with a shovel even at times...lol...assemble foundations, frame, cabinets, roof siding ...all of it.

      @@greglynch3662 I actually have 2 old campers. One is a 99 mallard a customer walked away from because it was literally rotted from the floor roof and walls down to the frame for the rear half. It's only a 19 ft camper. I am intending in making a hybrid tiny cabin out of it. That's been 3.5 years....lol. Then I picked up a vintage truck bed camper that Ford made for about 4-5 years back in the way 70s. Had that for 2 years and haven't gotten started on it yet. I stay too busy trying to get everyone else done. We stay covered up for 6-7 months at least and we try our best to move them along. I hate folks have to wait that long sometimes for us to get them done right, but at least..... they're done right. We got 2 horror show hot messes class c back to back....uggh.

      Look at the roof if you haven't purchased it yet. Some of the aluminum flat top style roof are very flimsy. They use 2x2 from side to side. Not nearly strong enough without sagging.

    Thanks for the information and the work you put into doing this kind of education for viewers. My husband and I are in our 60's and really wanted to purchase an RV and meander our way up to Alaska and around the U.S. It's just heartbreaking to see how bad the RV industry is cheating customers. Like most people purchasing these rigs, we have worked hard for our retirement and we're not super wealthy and have to be careful with our money. Now, we're not sure what to do. How do you feel about the molded fiberglass campers like the "Escapes, Casitas, Bigfoot's". They seem like the only way to go but would be interested in your thoughts. Thanks!

    • @RVROOFINSTALL
      @RVROOFINSTALL  Před 2 lety

      Flat or low slope roof systems need to have curbs that elevate the AC vents and skylight. So it would not matter if it was fiberglass, full metal or even poured concrete. If there are no curbs it will leak.
