2022 Tacoma drivers side view mirror cracked with cold temps!?!?

- My drivers side mirror cracked during “cold” temps. It only got down to 12 def F. My taco is a 22 with 6k miles. The mirror was not hit, moved by hand, moved, or altered in any way.
Will take it to Toyota and see what they will do. Stay tuned for an update…. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
UPDATE: Brought the truck to the dealer. Apparently this has become an issue with 2022 Tacomas. This is the 5th 2022 Tacoma to come into the dealer with a cracked mirror. Toyota is replacing it for free of course. I’ll keep you guys in the loop.
This just occurred to me on my 23 with 1,100 miles. Took it to the dealer who then proceeded to laugh in my face and said they do not cover glass. This video will be sent to them. Thank you very much!
@@cfsnipa sucks that happened to you. I have another video after the replacement with the receipt after I brought it into Toyota. They replaced it under warranty. At the time there was 6 other 2022 Tacomas that had the same issue. Good luck and don’t pay a dime!!

Same thing happened ton my truck this morning, brand new 2023 trd sport with just a few hundred miles on it. Almost identical shape, size and location of the crack you have but on the passenger side. Ill be calling the dealer tomorrow - thanks for sharing this.
No problem. I thought it was a fluke but clearly they have an issue on their hands. I assume it’s some defect with an existing manufacturer or they switched because of the whole Covid BS supply issues. I was the 6th person to bring it to my dealer. If I was the first one I could see them questioning it more as this is unusual. Good luck. I get mine replaced next week. I’ll post a new video update.
@@automatereviews My dealer's (Kingston, MA) service team was terrific in replacing my mirror after opening a case with Toyota. Shout out to Bill at Sullivan Brother's Toyota. Thanks again for the original post, this is definitely an odd defect.
@@ToddBrown-py9dn I’m glad your experience went great with Toyota. I’m getting mine replaced tomorrow. When I brought it in last week, I was there for maybe 10 min. Like I mentioned I was the 6th Tacoma there. So I didn’t have to open a case or anything. But I’ll post an update video with my experience. Good luck with the Taco.
I live in northern MN my 2022trd off road has never seen the inside of garage but it has seen 55 below without the wind chill! One tough truck 38000 miles 💪

Oh man that sucks to hear. Mine was fixed under warranty and hasn’t broken again since. Make sure your dealer doesn’t try to screw you and make you pay. It’s happened to numerous 22 Tacomas.
