Shaq’s a genuinely humble guy. If you hear him speak about his past, you know why. The man is legend when it comes to giving and thoughtfulness. The stories are neverending. My cousins made a plaq w nice photos of him and waited outside the LA coliseum back in the day. As he was leaving, he came up and thought they wanted his signature on it but it was a gift for him. He was very thankful, took pics and made 2 little girls very happy. They’re in their late 30’s now and fans for life. Thats how you treat the ones that supported you!

This isn't just for a photo, he is truly like this in real life! I met him once in the Orlando, Fl airport years ago. It was about 5 am and he was just standing there. I asked him if he needed directions, or help. He said "No ma'am, I'm waiting to pick up my girlfriend, thank you though." I had no idea who he was at first. One of the nicest men I have ever met in my life. ❤

I saw it, too. He admits he gives his kids everything they want, lol. He also said that he can't go to the store without buying something for somebody else, particularly for children. He was raised by his mother & step-father. He considers his step-father his dad. His bio dad was in & out of jail a lot & won't even speak to Shaq, probably out of embarrassment, abandonment & how he treated his children. I would bet he's regrets it now that Shaq made it to the big time! Lol.

This little Child Loves Shaq. His Dad was with Him, and He Wanted a Picture with Shaq, since He is His all time Hero, so He ran up too Him, with His Dad shouting in the background. The little boy hugged Shaq’s leg, but the Security Guard told Him too Go Away, that’s when Shaq, turned, and Heard the Dad asking if He would let His Son take a photo with Him, and Shaq let the little boy come back too take the picture.

I'll never forget when Shaq got confronted by a mother for partnering with people who make super expensive designer shoes that barely anyone can afford. Shaq was hit with an epiphany and cancelled his partnerships with MASSIVE names and ended up signing a deal with Walmart and made much cheaper, more affordable shoes in soooo many different sizes. He has my utmost respect.
My youngest was always rocking Shaq shoes, cause he always said he was one of his heroes. His friends’ parents swore their kids wanted expensive shoes (Jordan’s) and his friends actually admired him for his choices. I believe it was the parents putting blame on their own kids, just because they were trying to keep up with the Joneses.
