  • Welcome to the most beautiful small town on the Adriatic - Hvar. A place that combines history, luxurious lifestyle, and adventure in the best possible way. Located on the sunny coast of the western part of the island of Hvar, the old town of Hvar is surrounded by tightly packed houses with red roofs and a beautiful fortress, overlooking a group of small islands nearby.
Take a leisurely walk through the historic center and along the famous promenade. Visit St. Stephen’s Square, the largest historic square in Dalmatia, and the beautiful cathedral of the same name, with its famous bell tower. Here, you’ll also find the Arsenal, a former storage facility for ships and the first public theater, as well as the unique Loggia, which you can explore. If you walk up the hill just for 10 minutes, you will reach Hvar's fort Fortica, or how the locals call it “Španjola”. It was built at the beginning of the 16th century during the Venetian rule. Together with the city walls, the fortress forms an imposing stronghold. Today, the fortress also houses a small museum with an amphora collection. Besides experiencing its exquisite architecture, you will enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view of the city of Hvar, its surroundings and the Pakleni islands. It's a beautiful archipelago located right in front of the town of Hvar. Here, you can spend a day far away from crowded beaches, immersing yourself in the sunny tranquility of hidden coves and swimming in the crystal-clear sea. Enjoy everything Hvar has to offer.

Yeah, lots of tourists during the season. Still, Hvar is not so crowded as Dalmatia. You can not even park your car anywhere near Makarska in July/August :( Hopefully, it will change.
