    =====SCRIPT OF VIDEO=====
    Hey everyone, here's my super clear video on how to insert special characters and symbols in Microsoft Word. First, we're going to move our mouse over to "Insert", left-click over to "Symbol" and left-click again, and we will see the most common symbols here, like the division sign, the multiplication sign, the infinity sign, and you can just click and add.
    That's very easy, and these are extremely common in academic writing. Additionally, you can click on "More Symbols" and it loads up this menu, and admittedly, there are many symbols in here I have never seen before. So here at the bottom, you can see recently used symbols, which is great, and I would take your time and look through some of these, but it's likely you won't need them.
    That's why I go up to "Special Characters" at the top, left-click, and here we can see symbols that you probably will use much more often, such as the M Dash and N Dash, maybe the copyright logo, paragraph breaks, ellipses. Also, I hope this tip has been helpful for you, and good luck on writing your research paper and other academic manuscripts.
