Irish played well to get to the final. Proud of how our boys bounced back after that first loss against England. Didn't expect them to do this well so soon under a new coach. Love the way they clearly play for each other and for their coach. Absolutely also love the mutual respect 7's players in general have towards each other. The game is played hard and at an incredible pace, but moslty in great spirits. Us fans take a leave out of their book:-)

South Africa's recent domination of 7s tournaments proves that the "ThEyRe OnLy WiNnInG bEcAuSe FiJi AnD nEw ZeAlAnD aReNt ThErE" argument from a a year or two ago was pure cope! Nothing but respect for those two nations (especially Fiji!), but I wonder where those naysayers are now? 🤔
Wish we saw more. Could not understand why Ward took so long to actually touch down the first try in the semifinal. What was he waiting for? What is the advantage in delaying the touchdown? Surely there is a risk that having done the hard work he could actually be denied by a defender slapping the ball out of his hands?

I keep asking that same question every time a player does this - as long as the ball has not been grounded anything can happen, so why take that risk just to do some showboating> Unless someone has a better explanation

tbh Ireland are only relatively new to being towards the top end of the 7s series. Missing Kennedy as well, but fair play to the boks they were just better in almost every facet. Don't be a typical arrogant bok fan though, its not very pleasant

They have funnelled a few Blitzbok players to the XVs in the past. Kolbe and Kwagga of the current crop, certainly. Arendse, maybe?
They are trying it and those players aren't doing too bad. Kolbe, Kwagga and Arendse as mentioned before are doing great.
Your forward players 6,7 and 8 have a tougher job to prove themselves as that is specialist positions in 15's and need to run for longer than 20mins.
The ref helped them win against Samoa.
Oh really Samoa...u need to be in a real prospect position to complain about a ref.Maybe back that up with consistency alot of cups.Words without deeds are meaningless.Choose your words wisely.

Almost empty stands, and they are cancelling the new Zealand leg of this circus, which is almost always sold out. So new Zealand who have the best record (besides fiji) at this game, left out. These highlights are terrible and most of the tries that are shown are the ones with no relevance. I hope that this can be improved. It’s sometimes impossible to catch the games cause of the time zones. Needs to be better, has to be better
