I was not aware of the game ! Great game and even greater video !!! Thank you Paul
The neutral units are the Great Dragon, the Razor Wings, and the Mountain Giant. They come in Reinforcement Packs as opposed to Army Packs that the additional factions come in.
So I don't have EVERYTHING for the game then :)
@@GamingRulesVideos at this point, it might be impossible to get everything 😔
@@mrbovinejoni569 Except at ...extrotion rates on Ebay....
I suggest placing two tokens per unit at the start of the turn, one for movement and one for attack (refine token immediately if and after moving/attaching). That would also help with the which ones get an attack bonus of they didn't move.
There are flying harpies a dragon and a giant neutrals at least ( I have them). Have not heard about others but there could be later additions or a promo?
Nice to see this old one in use :)
Razorwings and a Giant apparently. I could find scans of the cards somewhere and print them out as proxies and use any other minis.
I even have the Razorbacks from the old Descent game, all painted.
Haha I also use little meeples to remember which units have been activated.
I just picked up first edition for $30 that included about five expansions. I owned the game about 20 years ago and sold it and now that it was really cheap, I wanted to try it again. You know how a game is really old? When you can find barely one video of someone on CZcams playing it. Look around for Battlelore first edition. I could only find one video of a playthrough.
Only non flying melee units roll one fewer die against flying units. Archers can use both their dice. Your pal therefore missed an opportunity to roll 6 dice in total against your dragon since he also forgot he could fire three times, quite a big difference. x')
Thanks for that. I misread it. That makes a lot more thematic sense!
A rematch is in order.
@@GamingRulesVideos It's all good, I probably missed some stuff the first time(s) I played this game as well. I hope to see that rematch!
Massive fan of Memoir '44 here, own also a big portion of the Battlelore 2.0 content, yet to play any of it. :( Hope this will give me the 'bump' I need to finally get it on the table.
Come over here. We can play!
'A copy of the game was provided by the publisher' - you mean Fantasy Flight still has copies after it's been out of print for years? They've been holding out on us! xD You can't imagine the trouble I went through to find this game and its expansions.
Nope. That is actually a standard message on all my videos, but I will remove it for this one as I bought this myself, a LONG time ago.
@@GamingRulesVideos Ah now I feel better, lol.
Great game! Great vid 👍
The release order was: Battlelore 1st edition, Battles of Westeros, Battlelore 2nd edition. I still love first edition the best.
Good to know. Thanks.
I think you made an error with attacks against the dragon - only non flying *mele* units roll one less die: doesn't apply to archers (I'm only going on something you said at the start, so I might be wrong). Interesting game though.
Yep. Thanks. It was mentioned in another commentm below. We need a rematch
Is there a way to get this game?
