LMFAO XD I've seen some CRAZY AF covers, man!! One said something about giraffes and how they were actually filled with fire(?) and were out to conquer earth, and I was like "...Hmm...Well, I'm reading YOU tonight" LMFAO

Same in India, I have never read a manga. No one knows what is a Manga or anime so I just can't talk to anyone about manga or anime. But then I talk to my international Otakus through AMINO
I was at work when I saw the notification and of course wanted to watch it immediately :). Very helpful lesson and very funny; composing the cover is an up and down process, but I also learned that you can't force things to happen. I have one story I've been working on for 5 years now and I have changed it many times, lol. I like the fact you spoke about the principles of designing a cover instead of just jumping into drawing it; without the building blocks you can't make anything and that's what makes your videos feel like going to school...in a good way XD-Be Blessed!!

I want to make a Manga and have it Fantasy and magical type like Fairytail, for example. But I also want to do horror because I have been inspired by Fnaf. Which one shouts me out more? Hey, you could mix up both horror and magical-esque! It would mean more creative forms of storytelling. Of course, this comment is pretty old so you might've already starting working on something, but just a suggestion!

something I noticed that I found interesting about my story is that was just kind of thinking about the main focus of the story and I realized that while it does have a specified plot I realized that the main focus of my story has come to solely revolve around the different kinds of relationships that people experience in particular that of the relationship between siblings and just the kinds of relationships you can have with different people such as a friend or a lover and I really love the way it's become.

What you said about the style changing. I like making my cover first to watch me edit it again and again. I’m the end I have three different covers so I have an idea for what I want. I either redraw one of the covers or redraw them all together and make a beautiful, yet creative cover in the end.

Very helpful, I'm currently starting to work on chapter illustrations for a written series of mine, and hopefully I'll be good enough one day to be able to draw the story out. (I'm better at visual story-telling than written)

Thank you for your kindness, dear! ♡♡♡ And to answer your question about how to write the story description on the back cover, I'd say it takes a few tries LOL Read the back cover of a book or Manga you've already read and see what was written about it. You'll see that nothing is spoiled for the reader but just enou f h info is given to male the reader feel like "ooh... that kind of sounds interesting! Let me read a few pages to see what I think about it." You want to intrude them without boring them with too much reading, and you don't want to spoil any cool details for them. It will take a few drafts to get it right, and be prepared to feel like rewriting it a few months from now LOL The better you become as a writer, the more likely you'll be to rewrite this ♡ Good luck and have fun ♡

ARMAN Hussain well colored pencils are good for backgrounds, just really go darker and go smaller the farther away it is, that's my suggestion, I'm making a book as well so this is the thing I use XD

I honestly I suck at illustrating covers. Real inexperienced artist here.
I'll just leave a tip for myself on how to make a cover art:
•Color Palette - is your story grim? fun? Color palette is important to give which vibe the manga is trying to tell.
•Subject - who is the focal point of the cover? Symbolisms?
•Title - is the hardest thing for me is to choose which font fits my story the most and where it is placed appropriately without ruining the cover.
•background - abstract background or the actual scene from the story either way will help set the vibe of the story you're trying to sell.

If I may also add in regards to font, it's important to make sure it's legible and check on any copyright and creative Commons licences on the font if you plan to make money off of your manga.
I've found a few fonts on dafont that are completely free to use, some that require crediting if used, and some that don't allow use for such things. Although the odds of getting into a lawsuit over it aren't that big, it's better safe than sorry.
