I think this is some of the best work Sting has done and I only recently discovered the 2003 Sacred Love album. Several great songs on this album. I love Sting best with the Police. I saw the Police a couple years performing two years in a row and most of their music is timeless!
This is top notch Sting. I'm glad that I decided to give this album a whirl because it's not one that gets the right level of exposure. I can understand how some are divided about it, but I keep on finding more songs to add to my Sting playlist. Dead Man's Rope is my fave so far. Thanks for the upload.

this album is actually my FAVORITE! not weak @ all. its actually intellectually stimulating if you ask me & calming to the deepest depths of my soul, not to get too poetic...ahem...XD!

One time I stayed late at my girlfriend's place for coffee. At about 11:00 pm, she put this song on the radio and we started slow dancing. I married her a couple years later in 2020 and it was the best decision I ever made. Truly a masterpiece of music! Ladies, if you're reading this, put this song on for your man and he will find you ten times more attractive than he previously did.

I suspect he's a spiritually inclined agnostic, a very respectable position, in my book. I like what I hear of his spirituality, anyway. This is such a HELL of a fun song, in every way; his lyrics are so easy and clever, simple and deep, at this point in his maturity. The stars of the band in this song are bass and drums. Totally bloody great.

@deboyden I somewhat agree with you. I would classify him as spiritual without the bonds of religion. I think he believes in the power of something greater, but likes to play with the temptations and freedom of atheism.
I just have this vision of Sting and god (not a certain religions god, just, GOD...a supreme being) being best friends...I see them sipping drinks in a corner booth at some club talking about how they have been waiting awhile for their food hahah

I agree he can freewheel creatively through just about any concept, never mind genre of music, but it's very hard for me to believe he's an athiest. My feeling is that Sting finds himself in the center of a paradox: on the one hand he knows full well that his creative genius, intellect, good looks and "good fortune" come from a grand Designer. And yet, great as this revelation is, Sting seems afraid to totally let himself go into the hands of the God, in particular, JESUS. Any thoughts?

Unbelievably great song, but I didn't like the rest of the album.
The song is OK. But Kipper sucks. Too many flaws to mention on the production side, just hoping he won't produce anything anymore.
