Being part of the first generation was not easy. They were not able to ask anyone for advice because they didn't have senior idol groups. Their struggles must had been so difficult.

The adults were milking them and just left them,
and since they were very young, they just had to swallow it 😢
I know it's late to answer and by now you know why. But I still want to express mine lmao. It's because they were a test group. So that's why they only lasted 6yrs without them knowing why they've disbanded. SM at that time were preapring Shinhwa's debut. And there was also a song from Shinhwa which supposedly given to H.O.T but then sm said they will give it to Shinhwa. And at that time, I think SM doesn't realize that H.O.T were very very successful and a hit group that's why he disbanded them. Poor guys.

@@rmichellekey98 SM tends to do that. Whenever they have a new group they forget about the group before them. Just like F(X) with Red Velvet and now Red Velvet with Aespa. I feel bad for H.O.T.🥺 They’re still legends and no matter what they will always be the most iconic boy group from SM.
@@Valeria-mg4ty I don’t think Red Velvet’s case was the same as Aespa. As many people know, Red Velvet had to debut right away because EXO’s problems with the members. Well before that they had to release SMRookies so public’s attention will divert from EXO to them. There weren’t really problems with F(x) in fact they’re successful, it’s when Sulli decided to leave and then Victoria wants to be more active in China than her group activities. So SM is losing their interest because of that. Red Velvet is reaching their 30s soon except for Yeri. It’s obvious SM will debut a new girl group. Also, Aespa is a really planned group even way before. If they didn’t want Red Velvet SM would’ve debuted them earlier.

the point about not having any seniors to ask for advice from is a point i never thought about, they were literally the OG idols in korea, but also so young at the same time, 23 at most, there must've been so many times where they felt lost and clueless and just had to trudge along until they couldn't anymore

After that they make a group called JTL (Jang Woohyuk, Tony Ahn, Lee Jaewon) and one of their popular song is My Lecon (Album: enter the dragon). They are the first boyband who can perform in MTV Music Award Asia but SM always banned him in Korean TV shows.
I just hope TVXQ can be reunion like them in a years later😢. (Sorry for my bad english)

As i know, SM didn't have a long plan for them. They are just a demo band to prepare for Shinwa debut. Their success was out of plan. They had to end for the more ambitious one. Unlike TVXQ, they don't have any personal plans or business to make effect to the band activities. The shocking broken is just it had to be.
I don't know when it would be happened but i do believe TVXQ will be together once again. It is difficult for H.O.T to stand together because there is no company stand out to help them coming back and SM did do something to prevent them. This is just a television program. I can only see them here and maybe in some other programs. I know it would be a long time to wait( for me it is 17 years) but just keep your love. One day, TVXQ would come back because of you.

What's happened btwn them actually? Why they suddenly disband at their peak?
No one knows the exact reason why they actually disbanded. It probably involved their contracts because their 5 year contract came to an end in 2001 and that’s when H.O.T disbanded.

팬이지만 해체이유는 진짜개소리다 솔까 문희준 강타가 인기많았으니 이수만을 떠나서 자기들도 HOT 벗어나도 팬충분하겠지라고 확신했지 나머지3인은 너무 막막했고 근데 JTL이 더잘됐어 문희준 락 말아먹고 강타도 뭐 인기그냥그랬고 이제와서 한다는 소리가 그때는 어려서 첨접하는 일이라 어떻게 해야할지 몰랐다? 어디서 약을팔어 장우혁이 토토거3에 나온거에 강타랑 문희준 절해라
이건 뭔 개소리지? 문희준 강타는 계약을 세 멤버보다 늦게해서 계약기간이 남아 계약 끝나는 시점이 늦었었고 둘은 에셈에 남았었음. 나중에 문희준이 나가긴 했지만. 세 멤버가 계약 끝난 후 나간건 중간에 ㄱㄱㅇ이 이간질해서 오해가 있어서 나갔던건데? 오해가 있었던거에 대해선 토니안이 얘기했던 저 있음.
자세한 내막이야 알 수 없지만 문희준 강타가 자기들 잘났다고 생각해서 이수만과 에쵸티를 등지고 솔로로 나갔다는건 첨들어보는 개소리네
