The guy looks like a 50 year old Sam Smith so his opinion doesn't matter.

“They want to define the proletariat on their terms “ 100% . I’m a gay woman , I don’t believe they are homophobic.

He wrote a good book about the Manic Street Preachers back in the late 90s, but he seems to forget that the lads invited his favourite band (the Manics) to take part in the Knebworth gigs in 1996. He should wind his neck in

I grew up on the same estate as Liam and Noel was a typical working class council estate.

If people want to recapture their 90s youth then fair dos to 'em, but Oasis are and have always been Gerry & The Pacemakers with distortion pedals.

Used to hang around Manchester in the 90's, stupidly, it was full of middle class 'artistes', writers and musos, desperate for a bit of working class cred but just as eager to intimate that daddy owned a factory...Elbow, Badly Drawn Boy, Gwendoline Riley, Emma Unsworth, Alfie...class tourists. I was envious and nauseated by them in equal measures. Oasis weren't exactly ambassadors for the working classes but at least they were the real deal, the last of them, as it happened.

I grew listening to music in the late 70's early 80's and everyone had to come from "Laandon" cos it made you sound like you were "street " - when you got a bit older you realised it was upper middle class boys who'd all been to art school. Biggest phonies of the lot the Clash, no Joe you're daddy wasn't a bank robber he was a lower ranking diplomat and you went to private school but hey ho. I don't personally like Oasis' music but I do respect them for getting up on stage and doing what they do

Weirdly the comments below resemble the sort of true believer gibberish you get on a pro- trump post. Let's face it Oasis are well overrated and there are plenty more working class bands that are genuinely challenging and forward-thinking. That said he is probably getting a bit carried away there..
