      No one is really going to baton with a folder. He's just testing its strength.
      But Benchmade advertises the Adamas as a "TACTICAL" folder.
      If it fails with light batoning, that means you shouldn't ever use it in a tactical situation. I say that because if you stab something and you hit dense bone or miss the target and hit a wall, that amount of pressure on the spine is going to cause the blade to close up on your fingers. So, the Adamas is a beautiful pocket knife, but it is definitely not a tactical folder because the spine can't handle any pressure.

    It's not the force you're applying, it's the fact that you're trying to baton hardwood with a folding knife that has a partially serrated blade. Not the knife's fault. Hardwood and wrong blade edge.

    • @vic_0315
      @vic_0315 Před rokem +2

      How would that cause the failure of the axis lock? I agree it was the wrong blade for the job, but that’s irrelevant to the issue of blade unable to stay locked in the open position.

    The Adamas is said to have the strongest lock that Benchmade produces.
    It looks like the (Omega) Springs that hold the lock bar in place have broken. Replacing these is part of the Benchmade Warranty. The fact that you would be shipping the knife from Sweden to the United States might complicate the Warranty Service. Aside from your friend helping you could send an email to Benchmade. This is Benchmade’s Warranty Service Page: www.benchmade.com/lifesharp-service and the service form is at www.benchmade.com/media/wysiwyg/LifeSharp_ServiceForm73019_Page_1.jpg

    Imponerande att du inte bara givit upp och slutat köpa benchmadeknivar

      hmm, det är sant. Men jag gillar deras design av flertalet knivar samt att dom har samma utformning av sågtanden som gerber knivarna vilket är den bästa sågtanden .

    vad skulle du på dyrknivar att göra? står de inte gerber på så är de inget för dig ;) skulle vilja se dig göra recension på tenaciousen du fick :)

      Ja det skulle jag kunna göra men det finns väl hundratals sånna videos. Tenaciousen är en skitbra kniv,ägde en annan för ett par år sen som jag gav bort till min bror men ångrade mig och skaffade en ny nu då.
