I lived in kudremukh for 5 years.. at that time this place was heaven on the earth, beautiful and occupied with lots of people around working in Kiocl and Cisf police securities. I felt very sad after watching video and knowing that very less people are left behind and struggling for their daily essentials. I pray to God to shower the same love and life again in kudremukh.

My dad used to work in CISF and I lived in Kudramukha for 5 years from the age of 5... Those were the most memorable and happy days of my childhood. I wondered the wilderness... Also, the school was excellent and gave me the foundation that made me what I am today. I pray for these unfortunate people who were left behind and are now suffering.
It's failure of government, but it's good for kudremuk , it's saved, the wildlife and the nature is out of danger and can recover but the damage is permanent.

Get these people out of that place they can build their hamlet anywhere near gd panchayath. Let them vacate that land. Leave it free for forest and animals. Govt should take proper action but it's not fair to start kudremukh iron ore industry. Vacate these dwelling.
Very misleading video, kiocl has harvested abt few kilometers of forest for mining from 1970 till 2005. Even after the contract has ended company went ahead with mining. Until environmentalists approached the Supreme court to stop kiocl, it was 2005 Supreme court gave the verdict on shutting down and seize all the operations and also the forest department to close all the tourists spots.
