Like, the skill 'charges' imply the devs intended for her to be off field for large amounts of time and her outro only gets full value if you aren't quickswapping.

I have to say tho, Changli is the prettiest, has the best animations, and most fun to play character in this game so far for me. Even tho it’s not very ideal, I still prefer using her as a main dps who’s on field for more than 10 secs just cause she’s pretty 😂 EDIT: Some ppl on the replies really can’t read when I clearly said FOR ME and I have both jinhsi and changli and their weapons (which are crucial to their overall aesthetic). While I do love jinhsi’s sleek and elegant clean design and animations, I just prefer changli’s intricate details, color scheme, and fiery animations a bit more. I promise you it is not that serious.

To be fair danjin is a bosskiller and this TOA has opposition to havoc (scar and heron have havoc res, inferno rider has havoc enemies before him, mech abomination aoe electro attack is like a way to stop danjin)

However, in terms of tiering character strength, I don't think they base it on the current ToA rotation. Imagine tiering Jinhsi when everything has spectro res. Calcharo was dropped down to Danjin's tier despite only being resisted by mid tower floor 2.
@tetraavalon3664 I don't think they take too much stock in temporary bonus effects, otherwise the tierlist would change every ToA rotation. If you look at the reasoning for Jinhsi it's her ease of use and ability to avoid damage that bumped her up. Likewise with Calcharo going down.

I prefer Yangyang's grouping ability to Jianxin's. Yangyang's Q spawns at her position rather than enemy's position. In the case of enemies standing a little bit too far from each other (just a bit further than Jianxin's Q range), I can cast Yangyang's Q in the middle and pull all of them.
I don't care about the meta in this game from the beginning tbh just pulling the characters I like. I'm still clearing everything with my Calcharo and Changli its more fun for me that way.
Yangyang is basically the quick swap version of jianxin, while she doesn't have as big of a pull as her, at s2 yanyang has 2 sucks, 1 on skill and 1 on ulti. She builds her ulti up fast while also being able to go either healing set or damage, plus at s6 she gives 20% attack to the next resonator on top of giving energy through her outro energy regen. She is actually pretty good
Why are people surprised that Calcharo got powercrept already? Even at release the devs would never make him stronger than Jiyan. The DPS gap was only going to grow with more DPSs released. He's the Diluc of WuWa (and Walmart Sephiroth).
I'm really loving how good some of the 4stars are. Sanhua is my current main, I'm running her as Main DPS with either Mortefi or Jianxin. I hope Sanhua stays towards the top of the tier lists, shattering ice crystals and spamming timed heavy attack is just too much fun.
I think she'll stay, considering they're increasing the value from characters' sequences over time. I have Sanhua s6 and she's absolutely insane as a sub-dps. Her concerto refill takes like 5 seconds and you can deal a big chunk of damage in those 5 seconds, and then utilize the atk boost from her s6 along with moonlit + heron skill to gain huge damage for your slot 1.

Nope, cause i got both. I must say that changli is good as a buffer, maybe for future dps, but as a dps surely she's below jinhsi. And jinhsi rn don't even have a good support, maybe in the next patch(?)
I chase meta and I still won’t. Because changli is waiting for that one main dps to take her through the roof. In the end changli would end up surviving the meta for the longest due to her sub dps capabilities and already deals second highest damage in the game
Calcharo is a 5* unit from standard banner it wasn’t supposed to be so strong they developers nerf him because a lot of people didn’t spend money on jiyans banner 😢 since calcharo was free at the beginning

What is good with Changli she constantly deals damage without buffer can easily solo TOA, While Jihnsi will have a hardtime without a buffer due to her resonance forte gauge.

My favourite characters to play currently are Jinshi, Changli, Yinlin and Jiyan. I just love performing the different combinations with them and even running them together sometime. Idc if they are or aren't meta I'll still play them as they are because of how fun they are
I don't think the upcoming characters are gonna be on Jihnsi power level. She's very clearly meant to be the equivalent of an Archon or Emanator in this game imho.

13:52 Counterpoint - You don't keep Jinghsi for long because casting her dragon laser instantly puts concerto up. So most of the time is spent attacking with other characters to build up her forte. Jinhsi is only there to throw out nukes and not fight. The only people fighting with her are the ones who messed up their rotation and switched to Jinhsi too fast so her bar never filled up. So wouldn't that make her a sub dps?
lv90 Calcharo still doable in Tower but against boss that moves a lot, yeah, i aldy set a Funeral for him. Yangyang is good for Floor 1-3 of tower her dmg is pretty good. and she just like Havoc ROver her Intro can hit target on the air.
All WuWa tierlists are so inaccurate when it comes to inform the player of what category a character belongs to it's crazy, but it's only 1.1, so it's normal to not be able to see the big picture yet. However, elemental tendencies are pretty clear at this point. Fusion - Higher damage scaling regardless of the type. (Changli, Encore, Chixia, and Mortefi aren't real burst DPS, but they all deal enough damage to rank pretty high regardless) Con: Lack of utility. Aero - Utility focused. (They group mobs and provide useful utility to the team) Con: Trades some damage for utility. Electro - Good at breaking vibration bar and focus on dealing fast multi hit attacks. (Yinlin intro and coordinated attacks, Calchro combos, Yuanwu literally has enhanced vibration damage) Con: All look like they are cosplaying. (Calcharo - Sephiroth, Yinlin - China dress, Yuanwu - Fedora) Glacio - Mitigating damge. (Baizhi is HP scaling healer. Sanhua is barely on field for more than a few seconds unless your force her to. Lingyang avoid ground based attacks) Con: Lack of role flexibility. Spectro - Plays well with other elements. (Jinhsi prefers off element stacker, Verina and Spectro Rover fits into any team) Con: Brain dead gameplay, or you can say easy to use if it makes you feel better. Havoc - Quirky (Havoc Rover is basically Dreamless pokemon master, Danjin cuts herself in order to cut others into pieces, Taoqi is clunky and chunky) Con: Maybe a bit too quirky to work well with other characters sometimes.
It's actually a lot easier if the tier list adopted PGR class system. Make it simple... They should add Sub DPS class. Without that class its hard to add Yinlin and Changli. They are not supporter nor dps. They are both! They have more damage by doing both too. So throwing them on supporter or DPS is just bad. In Kuro PGR Games they have a different class too... Amplifier =/= Healer They even make it very clear.
I think there should be 4 categories: DPS, HYBRID, SUB-DPS and Support. DPS is the character like Jiyan, Jinhsi, Encore, Chixia, Main Havoc, Calcharo, Lingyang who can only deal damage - pure DPS, HYBRID is the character like Changli, Danjin, Sanhua, Aalto, Main Spectro (Yang Yang, Taoqi, Jianxin also can be count but they are more to be a support than a HYBRID bc they provide more utility) those who's capable of dealing a decent amount of damage with a minimum on field time but also have ability to give some buff as a support for a dual-DPS team with 2 main DPS cover the downtime of other, SUB-DPS is character like Mortefi, Yinlin, Yuanwu, who has off-field dmg (mostly will be pair with a pure DPS who need as much on field as possible), Support is those who has high utility: buff, debuff, heal, shield, CC... like Verina, Yang Yang, Jianxin, Taoqi, Main spectro (S6). I would say if considered Changli as a pure DPS, she just T1 bc more time -> less dmg but still required a certain amount of time to do her job, if considered Changli as a HYBRID DPS in a dual-DPS team comp she would be T0.5. Ps: I would also say that in the end of the day, Changli can be use as a nuker by just burst then forte bc most of her dmg came from burst and forte and her forte can be charged by using burst so if there a better dps unit like a fusion Jiyan then pp can skip her first forte (which need some amount of time to build 4 stacks forte) and just go bum bum then swap out, while for Jinhsi, if a new spectro dps unit drop then it's hard to use Jinhsi as a sub-nuker bc pp still need to do E-4BA-E to deal that huge amount of dmg and it's cost time which mean if the main dps is a pure dps that need to be on field the longer the better like Jiyan it will lose dps, Jinhsi also doesn't provide any buff to the main dps if she was used as a sub-nuker. So when a new dps drop Changli will move to second dps and Jinhsi will fall down.
Why can't the tier list just represent the tags that kuro gives? Why does it have to be something different? Kuro created the game and the characters they know more about them than anyone making a tier list.

Dps? Support? Or sub-dps? Bc she can be a dps on field if u want but also can be play as a nuke-sub-dps without use her first forte which u have to do intro, skill + some BA to charge her forte, just swap in burst then forte and still do ~70% of her total dmg but save 50-60% of her on field time. The in-game tags tell u what character can do but not how they actual do that so it's hard to put character in category by those tags when dps and sub-dps are both damage dealers but depends on how they do their job they are in different category. Ps: by definition, sub-dps is a character that do a decent amount of damage without much on field time so short time nuker like Changli (if not use her first forte) and off field dmg dealers like Yinlin, Morte are categorized as sub-dps.

By definition, main dps is the character that need to stay on field for more dmg, Jiyan will lose dmg if u swap him out after use his burst, Jinhsi need to be on field to do E->4BA->E for big dmg that why they are "main dps" (the dps that "stuck" on the field for a certain amount of time which mostly will be more than half of 1 rotation time), Changli can be use as a main dps since she can do the job of a main dps (stay on field and deal dmg and most character can do that, the difference is dps number) but at the same time Changli can be used as a nuker that doesn't need much on field time but still deal a lot of dmg, which is the reason why she can be categorized as a "sub-dps" bc by definition sub-dps is a character that doesn't need much on field time but still can deal a decent amount of dmg. The main damage dealer tag mean the character can deal a lot of dmg but that doesn't mean that character is a "main dps" bc if u just pop-up and deal 400-500k dmg in 3-4s then swap out for 10-15s downtime and let say it half of team total dmg then u still deal a lot of dmg and u still can be considered as a main damage dealer in the team even if u doesn't need to be on field too long.

I agree with changli in tier 1 bcz people really bruteforce her to be dps when she is build to be a sub dps and to see she with jiyan is kinda funny bcz she just do not pop in dps section BUT in sub dps she as good as yinlin crazy buff and stacking skill is really a sub dps kit 😊

After using her for a week now. I can definitely say she's even lower than Encore in terms of "DPS" status. you might see huge numbers but Encore can deal the same thing just on separate attacks. Not to mention Encore Outro and Intro deals more dmg. But the thing is they should add a "SUB DPS" category. or something Cuz Changli offers a lot in terms of Filling up downtime for your main DPS. evrytime Havoc Rover loses that scythe mode, she helps fill that Gap to deal dmg. She's like Tier 0 in that regard. but yeah tbh it's still doesn't beat Jinshi. Jinshi is just insane and insanely easy to build. you can have Jinshi and an unbuild Yuanwu or Mortefi and she still deals insane. She's like Futureproof though I wouldn't want players to pull for her rn though since she will be definitely very valuable later on but not in the current state of the game.

I don't have encore and dont feel like playing some of her other options, but I've been playing changli with calcharo duo dps. It's really hard to play but I think it's possible to get 3 death messengers consistently. I'm feels crafting here take it with a grain of salt
i dont really get the point of having ranking of unit when everyone can build a unit with good performance. playerbase keep on roasting each others choice in the game, like we have our own gameplay to be satisfy first of all. As I observe other players always use the terms "meta this and meta that" in the first place other players already cleared ToA without limited 5 star characters and some of them using HMC or fully build 4 stars characters. Wuwa is built differently from other games we knew. Wuwa circulates to a gameplay that utilizes player's skill and the lvl of investment on the unit. so making huge judgements and comparisson is like meh after all. remember we still in 1.x version we dont know what might happen in the next 6 more months.

I have to say tho, Changli is the prettiest, has the best animations, and most fun to play character in this game so far for me. Even tho it’s not very ideal, I still prefer using her as a main dps who’s on field for more than 10 secs just cause she’s pretty 😂
EDIT: Some ppl on the replies really can’t read when I clearly said FOR ME and I have both jinhsi and changli and their weapons (which are crucial to their overall aesthetic). While I do love jinhsi’s sleek and elegant clean design and animations, I just prefer changli’s intricate details, color scheme, and fiery animations a bit more. I promise you it is not that serious.

Jinhsi has by far the best animations in the game. Changli's just arent even close. Fun is more subjective tho, and she is definately fun to play.

i think changli wants to be on field at least with teams that are currently posible, so don't worry to play her that way. while jinshi is better as burst char like encore.
Jinhsi is so good. And I don´t mind it she´s like the coolest character in the game right now and she has a loong.
To be fair danjin is a bosskiller and this TOA has opposition to havoc (scar and heron have havoc res, inferno rider has havoc enemies before him, mech abomination aoe electro attack is like a way to stop danjin)
Well, it's also only her at S2. S3-6 are all pretty good upgrades.

@@SHG3110 I agree that you don't want to bring in havoc dps to havoc resistant bosses. I have 30/30 right now and Danjin isn't great this round. However, in terms of tiering character strength, I don't think they base it on the current ToA rotation. Imagine tiering Jinhsi when everything has spectro res. Calcharo was dropped down to Danjin's tier despite only being resisted by mid tower floor 2.
@tetraavalon3664 I don't think they take too much stock in temporary bonus effects, otherwise the tierlist would change every ToA rotation. If you look at the reasoning for Jinhsi it's her ease of use and ability to avoid damage that bumped her up. Likewise with Calcharo going down.

I prefer Yangyang's grouping ability to Jianxin's. Yangyang's Q spawns at her position rather than enemy's position. In the case of enemies standing a little bit too far from each other (just a bit further than Jianxin's Q range), I can cast Yangyang's Q in the middle and pull all of them.
Changli should be tier 1 for main dps, jinyan is definetly better than her and not in the same category,

Yangyang is basically the quick swap version of jianxin, while she doesn't have as big of a pull as her, at s2 yanyang has 2 sucks, 1 on skill and 1 on ulti. She builds her ulti up fast while also being able to go either healing set or damage, plus at s6 she gives 20% attack to the next resonator on top of giving energy through her outro energy regen. She is actually pretty good
Why are people surprised that Calcharo got powercrept already? Even at release the devs would never make him stronger than Jiyan. The DPS gap was only going to grow with more DPSs released. He's the Diluc of WuWa (and Walmart Sephiroth).

I'm really loving how good some of the 4stars are. Sanhua is my current main, I'm running her as Main DPS with either Mortefi or Jianxin. I hope Sanhua stays towards the top of the tier lists, shattering ice crystals and spamming timed heavy attack is just too much fun.
I think she'll stay, considering they're increasing the value from characters' sequences over time. I have Sanhua s6 and she's absolutely insane as a sub-dps. Her concerto refill takes like 5 seconds and you can deal a big chunk of damage in those 5 seconds, and then utilize the atk boost from her s6 along with moonlit + heron skill to gain huge damage for your slot 1.

I chase meta and I still won’t. Because changli is waiting for that one main dps to take her through the roof. In the end changli would end up surviving the meta for the longest due to her sub dps capabilities and already deals second highest damage in the game

u really only need 2 teams for WUWA if u want to clear TOA. ur 3rd team doesnt even need a support, stage 2 and 3 are still clearable atm with ease with even just 1 character

Jinhsi is only there to throw out nukes and not fight. The only people fighting with her are the ones who messed up their rotation and switched to Jinhsi too fast so her bar never filled up. So wouldn't that make her a sub dps?

All WuWa tierlists are so inaccurate when it comes to inform the player of what category a character belongs to it's crazy, but it's only 1.1, so it's normal to not be able to see the big picture yet.
However, elemental tendencies are pretty clear at this point.
Fusion - Higher damage scaling regardless of the type. (Changli, Encore, Chixia, and Mortefi aren't real burst DPS, but they all deal enough damage to rank pretty high regardless)
Con: Lack of utility.
Aero - Utility focused. (They group mobs and provide useful utility to the team)
Con: Trades some damage for utility.
Electro - Good at breaking vibration bar and focus on dealing fast multi hit attacks. (Yinlin intro and coordinated attacks, Calchro combos, Yuanwu literally has enhanced vibration damage)
Con: All look like they are cosplaying. (Calcharo - Sephiroth, Yinlin - China dress, Yuanwu - Fedora)
Glacio - Mitigating damge. (Baizhi is HP scaling healer. Sanhua is barely on field for more than a few seconds unless your force her to. Lingyang avoid ground based attacks)
Con: Lack of role flexibility.
Spectro - Plays well with other elements. (Jinhsi prefers off element stacker, Verina and Spectro Rover fits into any team)
Con: Brain dead gameplay, or you can say easy to use if it makes you feel better.
Havoc - Quirky (Havoc Rover is basically Dreamless pokemon master, Danjin cuts herself in order to cut others into pieces, Taoqi is clunky and chunky)
Con: Maybe a bit too quirky to work well with other characters sometimes.
It's actually a lot easier if the tier list adopted PGR class system.

They should add Sub DPS class. Without that class its hard to add Yinlin and Changli.
They are not supporter nor dps. They are both! They have more damage by doing both too.
So throwing them on supporter or DPS is just bad.
In Kuro PGR Games they have a different class too...

I think there should be 4 categories: DPS, HYBRID, SUB-DPS and Support. DPS is the character like Jiyan, Jinhsi, Encore, Chixia, Main Havoc, Calcharo, Lingyang who can only deal damage - pure DPS, HYBRID is the character like Changli, Danjin, Sanhua, Aalto, Main Spectro (Yang Yang, Taoqi, Jianxin also can be count but they are more to be a support than a HYBRID bc they provide more utility) those who's capable of dealing a decent amount of damage with a minimum on field time but also have ability to give some buff as a support for a dual-DPS team with 2 main DPS cover the downtime of other, SUB-DPS is character like Mortefi, Yinlin, Yuanwu, who has off-field dmg (mostly will be pair with a pure DPS who need as much on field as possible), Support is those who has high utility: buff, debuff, heal, shield, CC... like Verina, Yang Yang, Jianxin, Taoqi, Main spectro (S6). I would say if considered Changli as a pure DPS, she just T1 bc more time -> less dmg but still required a certain amount of time to do her job, if considered Changli as a HYBRID DPS in a dual-DPS team comp she would be T0.5.
Ps: I would also say that in the end of the day, Changli can be use as a nuker by just burst then forte bc most of her dmg came from burst and forte and her forte can be charged by using burst so if there a better dps unit like a fusion Jiyan then pp can skip her first forte (which need some amount of time to build 4 stacks forte) and just go bum bum then swap out, while for Jinhsi, if a new spectro dps unit drop then it's hard to use Jinhsi as a sub-nuker bc pp still need to do E-4BA-E to deal that huge amount of dmg and it's cost time which mean if the main dps is a pure dps that need to be on field the longer the better like Jiyan it will lose dps, Jinhsi also doesn't provide any buff to the main dps if she was used as a sub-nuker. So when a new dps drop Changli will move to second dps and Jinhsi will fall down.
Why can't the tier list just represent the tags that kuro gives? Why does it have to be something different? Kuro created the game and the characters they know more about them than anyone making a tier list.
@@saiwaqa2573 the problem is character like Jinhsi is pure dps (main dps + skill dmg tags) so she can only be in dps category when Changli if I'm not wrong she has dps tag and fusion + burst dmg buff tag so where are u gonna put her? Dps? Support? Or sub-dps? Bc she can be a dps on field if u want but also can be play as a nuke-sub-dps without use her first forte which u have to do intro, skill + some BA to charge her forte, just swap in burst then forte and still do ~70% of her total dmg but save 50-60% of her on field time. The in-game tags tell u what character can do but not how they actual do that so it's hard to put character in category by those tags when dps and sub-dps are both damage dealers but depends on how they do their job they are in different category.
Ps: by definition, sub-dps is a character that do a decent amount of damage without much on field time so short time nuker like Changli (if not use her first forte) and off field dmg dealers like Yinlin, Morte are categorized as sub-dps.

And if a character is main dps bc she/he has main dps tag then wtf Danjin is a dps when she doesn't have that tag and also Yinlin doesn't have burst damage dealer tag, she have coordinated attack tag (that why she a sub-dps), skill dmg, concerto efficiency, and electro dmg + burst dmg buff tag. By definition, main dps is the character that need to stay on field for more dmg, Jiyan will lose dmg if u swap him out after use his burst, Jinhsi need to be on field to do E->4BA->E for big dmg that why they are "main dps" (the dps that "stuck" on the field for a certain amount of time which mostly will be more than half of 1 rotation time), Changli can be use as a main dps since she can do the job of a main dps (stay on field and deal dmg and most character can do that, the difference is dps number) but at the same time Changli can be used as a nuker that doesn't need much on field time but still deal a lot of dmg, which is the reason why she can be categorized as a "sub-dps" bc by definition sub-dps is a character that doesn't need much on field time but still can deal a decent amount of dmg. The main damage dealer tag mean the character can deal a lot of dmg but that doesn't mean that character is a "main dps" bc if u just pop-up and deal 400-500k dmg in 3-4s then swap out for 10-15s downtime and let say it half of team total dmg then u still deal a lot of dmg and u still can be considered as a main damage dealer in the team even if u doesn't need to be on field too long.

After using her for a week now. I can definitely say she's even lower than Encore in terms of "DPS" status. you might see huge numbers but Encore can deal the same thing just on separate attacks. Not to mention Encore Outro and Intro deals more dmg. But the thing is they should add a "SUB DPS" category. or something Cuz Changli offers a lot in terms of Filling up downtime for your main DPS. evrytime Havoc Rover loses that scythe mode, she helps fill that Gap to deal dmg.
She's like Tier 0 in that regard. but yeah tbh it's still doesn't beat Jinshi. Jinshi is just insane and insanely easy to build. you can have Jinshi and an unbuild Yuanwu or Mortefi and she still deals insane. She's like Futureproof though

I don't have encore and dont feel like playing some of her other options, but I've been playing changli with calcharo duo dps. It's really hard to play but I think it's possible to get 3 death messengers consistently. I'm feels crafting here take it with a grain of salt

i dont really get the point of having ranking of unit when everyone can build a unit with good performance. playerbase keep on roasting each others choice in the game, like we have our own gameplay to be satisfy first of all. As I observe other players always use the terms "meta this and meta that" in the first place other players already cleared ToA without limited 5 star characters and some of them using HMC or fully build 4 stars characters.
Wuwa is built differently from other games we knew. Wuwa circulates to a gameplay that utilizes player's skill and the lvl of investment on the unit.
so making huge judgements and comparisson is like meh after all. remember we still in 1.x version we dont know what might happen in the next 6 more months.
