  • I'm one year into riding the groundbreaking Ibis Ripmo version 1 and it's a perfect time to do a bike check!
    I'm Adam Mock. A professional artist and leadership coaching specialist. I began mountain biking back in 2017 and quickly realized that all my adventures on the trails were trying to teach me lessons about life. And I want to share those lessons with you so we can all enjoy the journey together.
    I'd like to think that you don't have to be a mountain biker to enjoy my channel and see how pockets of our lives are trying to teach us some great lessons about the whole of our lives. So please stick around and enjoy the ride!

    I have the same bike, but in the blue color. I love the bike and have had it for about 8 months now. It is fun to personalize it. Great job with the videos.

      Is there any hardtail that you would recommend under $1,200 USD?

      @@ThatAverageMTBer Check out the Giant Talon 1. $830. The Talon was my first MTB bike and a lot of fun to ride. Or for a little more scratch the Giant Fathom 2.

      I was looking at the Giant Fathom 2 2021 version because this version has both front and back through axles

    Great Vid! I own the same model and it rocks! Would you mind sharing which is the model of the Janson protector you used for the top tube? Thanks in advance for info! Best regards from Durango, CO!

    • @AdamMock
      @AdamMock  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks! The top tube frame protector is called "Foundation" Frame Protection Tape. It's made by Jenson and doesn't have any logos on it which is nice. $14.99 on their site. ✌🏼🤟🏼

    Nice bike check. Do you run inserts? Did you notice a lot of rolling resistance? Asagai and dhr2 are the draggiest tires

    • @AdamMock
      @AdamMock  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks! I don't have the bike anymore but I didn't have any cushcore or inserts. As for rolling resistance, I didn't notice any. I'm sure there was, but I had used an Aggressor, DHR2, and Assegai all for a rear tire and I preferred the grip of the Assegai, even if it might have meant some rolling resistance that I wasn't aware of. ✌🏼🤟🏼

      @@AdamMock too much climbing where I ride in northern ca. primarily Santa Cruz. I’m currently riding on dhf front dissector back and it’s good. I have a pair of assagai tires in the garage and have been thinking about installing them in the front. It might be the bike is such a great climber that it doesn’t matter what u throw on it rolling wise

    • @AdamMock
      @AdamMock  Před 2 lety

      @@Micarmn for sure. I think it comes stock with Assegai on the front and rear. Which speaks to how good that bike climbs.
