What's up? Still listening to this 11 year old Emiya cover? It'll be 12 years this coming June.
It's been nearly a decade since this video, but I'm still happy with finding this somewhat obscured South of Heaven album and sharing it to ya'll. Glad to see people enjoy listening to a great Emiya metal cover after all this time. And I have zero monetary or personal gain from making this video other than the enjoyment that you viewers get from seeing/listening to it for as long as it still exists on YT. But I owe it to an old friend and once fellow Touhou music fan for bringing it to my attention. He definitely deserves as much credit.
Each time coming back to the video is a reflection of how I was compared to how I am today. Particularly, how much I wanted to rush making this video before Christmas 2009; my god. Any notion that I worked hard to make it had been completely discarded over the years. I had few good fanarts I thought would work (and, it being 2018, there's plenty more representation to go around), using on-camera footage of a trailer, and I certainly was no sick ass editor. Even so, the UBW film being a announced was a *very* big deal to me, so in my mind I wanted to be celebratory rather than make a killer AMV. I can make this look a little better if I wanted to, now. It's fine if you thought this video seemed pretty "eh," it's the song you really came for.
And...I guess that's it. Take care ya'll, and continue listening to EMIYA to your heart's content. Edit: Ah, I should probably complete the sourcing on this video.
May I ask. Where did the animations from around the 4 minute mark come from? I've never seen them before.

I would agree with you, but technically all 40 bad endings of Fate/Stay Night are parallel universes, and the majority of those Emiyas were never given the chance to become badass

If Archer or Shiro ever appeared as guests in Blazblue, this is definitively the version of Emiya that should be used as a theme song. That, and have that UBW be a super only done in Drive, or with a full bar needed. Also, Nine Lives Blade Works would be the Astral.

What about broken phantasm?
imo, this sounds more like a "vs chaotic evil" version, the kind of music you'd expect from a final battle against a being so cruel and malicious that he/she/it's gone completely bat-guano crazy, and the only way to stop its designs is to destroy it. You could say it'd fit more with something like "Shirou and Archer vs Angra Manyu," which to be fair, would be a pretty kickass finale. xD
In short, it's still good, just not in the same ways as the original Emiya.

what would be epic is a fight between Archer and Fate/Zero's Berserker. Archer goes UBW and Berserker's like: "I'ma grabbing these swords and kicking your ass."

"Do you have enough weapons at your disposal" was what I read in my patch...
Can't be the only one who was expecting some Emiya vs Slayer remix.
It was at the end of the graphic novel's UBW route (if you haven't read the original graphic novel then download it NAO) after Shriou defeats Archer and confronts Gilgamesh at end of his journey. Shirou creates Unlimited Blade Works to counter Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon. The rest is literally too epic to put into words outside of the graphic novel.
Where did that scene where Shirou spoke of Archer being a shadow of himself (when shirou open his eyes) came frooooom???!

Now ya see, the reason there's a Merry Christmas image at 1:43 in a video that was posted in May is because Archer is going to shoot that present, it's going to continuously circumnavigate the Earth for 8 months, and magically fly into your window on Christmas morning. ...While simultaneously destroying your house.
@megadragonblade ...Yes it is true as far as SKILL goes. Also, when Archer creates a weapon it loses one rank. So all the broken phantasm does is put it back to the rank it was supposed to be at in the first place. Also, when he uses a broken phantasm the weapon is destroyed. So he doesn't fire those things off too often.
Alright, I have to ask. Where can I download this album from. I'm having a hard time finding it.

@RanmaHikari Read Kagetsu Tohya if you haven't already, she has a better conclusion in it, in one of the sidestories. I won't spoil anything, but its worth it.

@megadragonblade That would be epic. Especially since Archer can use each weapon just as well as their original masters could since that is a part of recreating the weapon. So it would pretty much be an epic battle of swordsmen fighting at max possible skill for any given weapon.
@RanmaHikari Actually thats not quite true, Archer can increase the noble phantasms power as a broken phantasm (the huge impact on berserker in the UBW route)

This is my favorite metal remix of Emiya, because it actually replaces the original's piano with a bad ass, screeching electric guitar.
Only the original should use a piano for that.
At the end of UBW route, Shirou, would have been able to do that since he could copy and paste the strength of the original owner by himself.
