She had power because Viserys let the women ruled (She was regent, he could’ve put the power on the hands of his Hand but like he choose Rhaenyra why not let Alicent ruled) and she just realized it now and regret to had choose Otto over Rhaenyra. Neither of his sons listens to her, her voice at the table has been removed, it’s funny it’s like Rhaenys said that Alicent didn’t wish to be free, just make a window to her prison and be at the service of the men, like her father and her sons.

Personally I think she is too damn old to be acting this petty. As woman if I was in a crap marriage then I would be so happy to see at one of my friends living her best life. Would I be jealous? Yes no one can say they were never jealous in their lives and I know for a lot people it’s hard to leave a crap relationship fictional or not. Sometimes it’s not easy to leave. I’ve been there before but if I had someone positive in my life the last thing I would want is for them to be as miserable as me. But then again that’s just me
