14 years ago and so many comments/expectations about Willie’s failing health. Yet here he is in 2024 making some of his best music and about to release a smash album at the end of May. He’s the country Keith Richards.
His version was fabulous. Years ago on some TV show, Wille Nelson and Paul Simon appeared together, with Willie Nelson singing a couple verses of this song, and then Paul Simon sang a little bit of "Crazy".
Just discovered this song tonight on a radio show...the dj made a great point...that Willie is singing that he's still "Crazy"... Anyway this is a great performance and wonderful arrangement.
i can remember coming home and turning the tv on and this came on. Two minutes in to the song, i felt tears running down my face ! Its almost as if i didnt rrealize what was happening. The tears come back every time i watch this
Very, very interesting and unique version of this song. I've always loved Paul Simon's original of course and thought it was his rueful way of looking at himself but Willie's version is downright sad. It's completely original, and beautiful. I love that Paul's writing is rich enough that someone with Willie's talent can reveal the layers of meaning in it to dense people like me.
"I'm not the kind of man who tends to socialize. And I seem to lean on old familar ways......oh, Still crazy after all these years." ..........I know that guy....
Σας συνέβει ποτέ; Την καλημέρα μου!! !So much emotion oh my God and so real!! "I'm not the kind of man who tends to socialize. And I seem to lean on old familiar ways......oh, Still crazy after all these years." ..........I know that guys, it's really real...
thanks for sharing this one... señor Nelson.. señor Leno... and hey... me too, brother... me too as a bedbug could possibly be man I hate bedbugs.. I'm getting out of here
Nobody writes 'em like Paul Simon, and nobody sings 'em like Willie Nelson.
One brilliant songwriter paying homage to another. Beautiful
It will be a sad sad day when he leaves us

Great version, didn't know this existed.
A voice as velvety and comforting as slipping on an old pair of leather boots

Still crazy after all these years.
To see Willie's health begin to fail is a hard pill to swallow. There will never be another like him.
Willie is fine.
Willie has a whole lot of life left in him. He’ll be performing at least until he is 100.
Willie’s just old. No way he still plays as many concerts he does at his age if he isn’t relatively healthy
Still crazy after all these years

Amazing, but you cut the mid song part for a sax solo (à la Brecker, or Sanborn...) you TV Bastards
Have to admit, I really missed that solo.
The guitarist played a solo in place of the saxophone, however, the camera neglected to show him.
no me covence
Poor fool
Sorry......but he should better let it sing Paul SIMON......
That is true, but Willie Nelson put some motion into his songs that everybody can understand.
It’s called a cover dim-wit
