I was born in 1966. I have two conditions one is called optic nerve hypoplasia. That's fancy talk for the fact that my optic nerves and parts of my retina never developed that rendered me legally blind. I still have a good degree of functioning vision but I can't drive and and I stink at tennis (LOL) the other condition I have is called a hemi hypoplasia. That means one side of my body is smaller than the other in my case I have a leg that's about an inch and a half shorter and I have deformed ankle and at the age of 52 I had to start using a walker. Life hasn't been easy for me things have been a challenge. I wonder if I were to present the conditions that I was as a fetus if they would have chose to abort me? My life is been difficult like I said but I'm glad I got to live it. I was married for 20 years and I raised two wonderful kids. 10 years ago however I lost my wife to suicide. Life is rough for everybody it's difficult for everybody. But I think we all deserve a chance at it. I find it interesting how so many who got to leave the womb are now deciding that others can't. It breaks my heart.

As a black immigrant from Africa I find it heart wrenching to hear the argument that making abortion illegal affects women of color. According to recent statistics black evangelical are more likely to support so called reproductive rights. So I guess I am trying to understand why this issue is racial and why are more blacks preachers and black evangelical support abortion.?

Many years ago, I saw that wonderful follower of Christ and Nazi Concentration Camp survivor, Corrie Tin Boom. She too, held violently angry feelings toward those who imprisoned & killed her family member & friends. Years later, quite by incidence, she met her former captor and killer of her sister. Ms. Corrie was amazed that GOD'S grace met her just as she met that same man and she was enabled to extend grace & mercy to him. I've heard Dr. Richey's story and I found his history & experience uniquely similar to Brother Corey's. I gather Dr. Richey is speaking out of a lot of his own anger and pain. He can argue pro-abortion from the confines of his studio desk -but he himself is not scraping the life from that mother's womb. He remains as someone GOD loves in spite of his sin and despite his avowed pro-abortion stance, his heart ❤ and mind can change before tomorrow's sunrise. Abortion is sinful, BUT failure to provide resources to mothers and children after is ALSO evil. You can't be pro-life before birth, but care nothing about them after birth.
"Caring" for the baby after birth isn't the state or community's responsibility. It is the parent's responsibility. Neither the Constitution nor the Bible states anywhere that a mother is entitled to such a privilege, and the Bible certainly doesn't define sin as refusing to give a mother a free ride on the gravy train.

The didache of the early church spoke about it in the upholding of the Apostles’ teachings. Many other patristics wrote about abortion and its violence against the human child. Just a quick note.

Being that your Pro Life, with your issue, have you thought about adoption? God maybe allowing this for that same reason. I was in a similar situation over 20 years ago when I found out that I couldn’t produce any sperm. My wife and I prayed about it and years later, God laid it upon our hearts to adopt and we had our son since he was 5 days old. It took a few months from the time we started the process to the day when we brought him home.

This was something that I discussed with my husband & it was okay! Luckily, I grew up in Berkeley, Ca. where that option was available to me. Funny thing is on the topic of personhood, personality, and or soul, it is observed scientifically that babies show habits and distinctions in the womb that they often continue outside of the womb, sometimes as early as 3-4 weeks. My wife and I adopted 6 kids out of foster care. Those kids are functioning adults now. We thank God that we had this opportunity. Most of these kids in the foster care system had absolutely nothing to do with oh their mom couldn’t get an abortion. How about these women maybe using birth control.
Dear Loved Ones, this is not an issue we need to be divided on. Does not God Govern his own body? Therefore can the hand say to the eye that thou are not Holy? Does not the law point to all men's unrighteousness? Does not God say fear not those that can kill the body but rather fear him that can destroy the soul? Does not God know a soul before it is formed? Does not Jesus teach us to turn the other cheek? If the life given to us is from God the Creator, is He able to protect the life He created just a few months earlier, from abortion or miscarriage? My answer is yes! - Creator God is well-able to protect any and ALL lives He created just a short time earlier. I just don't like them calling themselves pro-life when what they really are is pro-birth. Eternal Creator God does not guarantee the births of each of His creations. Those lives that He has determined to be born, are always born according to His will. Today a fetus is not treated as a human being! You cannot get insurance, birth certificate, social security etc for a fetus. If a fetus is a human being, why is it not able to get all the benefits as those that have been born ?

Many years ago, I saw that wonderful follower of Christ and Nazi Concentration Camp survivor, Corrie Tin Boom. She too, held violently angry feelings toward those who imprisoned & killed her family member & friends. Years later, quite by incidence, she met her former captor and killer of her sister. Ms. Corrie was amazed that GOD'S grace met her just as she met that same man and she was enabled to extend grace & mercy to him. I've heard Dr. Richey's story and I found his history & experience uniquely similar to Brother Corey's. I gather Dr. Richey is speaking out of a lot of his own anger and pain. He can argue pro-abortion from the confines of his studio desk -but he himself is not scraping the life from that mother's womb. He remains as someone GOD loves in spite of his sin and despite his avowed pro-abortion stance, his heart ❤ and mind can change before tomorrow's sunrise. "Caring" for the baby after birth isn't the state or community's responsibility. It is the parent's responsibility. Neither the Constitution nor the Bible states anywhere that a mother is entitled to such a privilege, and the Bible certainly doesn't define sin as refusing to give a mother a free ride on the gravy train.

The didache of the early church spoke about it in the upholding of the Apostles’ teachings. Many other patristics wrote about abortion and its violence against the human child. Just a quick note.

It is crazy to me how far people will go to justify murder of the unborn. I have PCOS so it makes it very difficult to conceive. My hubby and I are really trying and it's emotionally taxing. Never has there been such a great gift given by God. My heart really is broken.
Being that your Pro Life, with your issue, have you thought about adoption? God maybe allowing this for that same reason. I was in a similar situation over 20 years ago when I found out that I couldn’t produce any sperm. My wife and I prayed about it and years later, God laid it upon our hearts to adopt and we had our son since he was 5 days old. It took a few months from the time we started the process to the day when we brought him home.

I do agree that there is no resolution to if you may’ e been raped, it doesn’t help to abort a fetus, but, me being a woman, I’d rather have a choice. I told myself that I would not have another abortion, if I were to get pregnant again. I have 2 abortions in my life. I am now 62yrs. old, but I have said that since I was in my early 50’s. I had 1 abortion, at the age of 16yrs. old & again 23, because I didn’t want to tell my mother, (I was too young), & because I had just had my daughter, & I didn’t want to have another child, 6mos. after having my daughter. This was something that I discussed with my husband & it was okay! Luckily, I grew up in Berkeley, Ca. where that option was available to me. And, I was protected by Family Planning, although I did consult my mother. I’m glad I had the choice.

Funny thing is on the topic of personhood, personality, and or soul, it is observed scientifically that babies show habits and distinctions in the womb that they often continue outside of the womb, sometimes as early as 3-4 weeks. Ex. Sucking on fingers, relaxing arms in certain positions, crossing legs or not, favorable response to certain sounds, songs, or voices, taste and favorable food types and flavors, and even what seems like dancing in the womb. My wife and I adopted 6 kids out of foster care. Those kids are functioning adults now. We thank God that we had this opportunity. Most of these kids in the foster care system had absolutely nothing to do with oh their mom couldn’t get an abortion. How about these women maybe using birth control.

My answer is yes! - Creator God is well-able to protect any and ALL lives He created just a short time earlier. I just don't like them calling themselves pro-life when what they really are is pro-birth. If they were truly pro-life, they would fight just as hard for all life that are in danger of being threatened. Murder from the streets, murder from police, the death penalty etc., they would be just as adamant about preserving that life as well. I am not for abortion, but they need to state what they truly are which is pro-birth not pro-life.
Let's not generalize. Most individuals that stand for life aren't just pro birth. Plenty of brothers and sisters in Christ labor to provide for these children in a variety of roles. Whether giving their time, resources and hearts to foster care or adoption...or working at pregnancy crisis centers. I kindly urge you to visit an adoption agency or pregnancy center that helps women with housing expenses, pediatric care, and emotional support for women who CHOOSE to have their child. All of these facilities are pro life. Pro choice doesn't offer any such thing. Do you see what I'm talking about?

Eternal Creator God does not guarantee the births of each of His creations. Those lives that He has determined to be born, are always born according to His will. Now, on his point about Adam, he is making a mistake by thinking that the breath of life is the same as oxygen-containing air that we breathe in and out to stay alive. Life (or the breath of life) is what God has inherent within him which He gives to all His creatures so they can come to life, and oxygen (on the other hand) is what physical creatures breathe in and out (one way or another, including a baby in the womb) to stay alive. You can give oxygen to any person who has just died all you want, but it will not bring them back to life because they don't have life in them anymore (life which only God has inherent within him and which only God can give, just like he gave Adam through his nostrils).
I noticed that at the 30:00 minute mark you speak about the anesthesia being used, but it’s known that during abortions without anesthesia that the baby while being ripped to pieces on its way out, will still be crying. From speaking with a woman on her personal experience, this is a fact.
