Built entirely on trust: John's Filipina wife is the owner of the land and building, and could sell it all, at any time, banking the takings, without legal repercussions. A similar situation prevails in Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and Vietnam. In Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico and Colombia foreigners can hold title.

Many times when I see large houses built in the Philippines by foreigners, they lack good design and taste. This place is properly classy and the design is well thought out.

Yes including the land about $500k USD, that included some changes he made to the house again when it first got finished too

It’s huge, but not my type of design. I wanted my living room and dining room with very high ceiling, also I wanted my staircase to be showcased! This house seemed boxy to me.

@@angelatorres9142 I would ask that question to get an idea of something comparable ( I know they are not renting out their house )...The Philippines is loaded with luxury homes for rent.....I will be moving there soon and I will be looking for something amazing on the beach to rent

You can build for under half a million is my guess, cheaper if you don't import materials and if not in a high end gated community

Ask the owner how much is their monthly electric bill.
I bet it's about the same, maybe a little lower.
They have solar so only if they have a lot of visitors it's P2000 but usually zero

The thing is forginers cnt own homes in Philippines so if his wife deside to leave where does that leave him no house you have be very lucky as I see on so many vedios forginers are building homes in Philippines even thou a forginer is married to a flipino woman if the married goes bad so dies the house

They can't divorce in Philippines though. Unless they were married in the UK.
There are ways to protect the foreign spouse. For one, thier name can be put in the deed not as a co-owner but as a legal party to the deed. This gives them rights not as complete as a citizen but not entirely unprotected

John who designed and built this didn't marry any guy? He worked his whole life in construction all over the world, he earned it all and to hear the stories of some of the countries he had to work in and how many times life was in danger you'd really appreciate what he went through

haha i have that exact model. or just same look, the brand is tenda. its good though... then it broke. coz im was using it as an outdoor router. i think it was price around 3500?
now im using a proper outdoor router, now my problem is the speed wont go pass 20mbps. while the main router's speed is 80-100mbps

@@michaeljakeusman The modem you got from your ISP. Its probably a router as well. You need to disable it. Its probably passing through to your secondary (which you think is your main) Check it. Why its only giving you 20mbps
