Ashes to ashes dust to dust Beautiful child turnig into stone With your eyes so dim I shudder Bitterness runs through your soul Like small children Confusion dances in the dusk of your mind Echange your blessings for deceptions good night kiss Skin like winter Cherished one fading away I can see your breath begging to resurrect into death Hiding scars back laced with splinters Audience of a congregation make your way to the front Close your eyes and grieve You played your part so well
Yea, I can see what you mean. It sounds good in both the Split Ep and the Liberate te ex inferis album version. Though I can't really decide which is better.
No, it's not a bad mp3 conversion. This was the hardcore of my day, and everything sounded like this cause these were the days of metal when bands were paying out of pocket to record their EP's ha...Some of the best bands came out of that generation. I hope I can find some "Think Tank" on here...
No i didn't. Thanks. And this is why our kind of music is amazing 99% of metal never go mainstream and all the fakes hear it. Otep doesn't count. We were kinda close once and she came to my city for me for a concert. Good Lady
idk about live... but def has the TFU guy on that one part. this version was always more visceral and raw and better in my opinion than the full length version.
angeltread Yeah always liked this version better, I don't recall where I read that (it was around the time it came out). Might just be a poorer quality recording, but I still like the sound better.
@@EvilSSP Indeed, this version has a certain wild intensity to it that always felt pure but the Liberate version switches it up to maintain a more consistent, stylized sound in keeping that album-wide theme
In 1998 I bought this CD with my first paycheck at my very first job.
That was a great time to be a fan of more obscure bands, Zao was killing it along with Embodyment, Living Sacrifice, and Extol. Those were the days😊
Dans vocals on this version are insane!
Dude. I wish I had nightmares about these vocals. They are the evilest. Very carcass-y.
This is the original I heard when introduced to it by a good friend a bazillion years ago. damn man it still kills it .
Ashes to ashes dust to dust
Beautiful child turnig into stone
With your eyes so dim I shudder
Bitterness runs through your soul
Like small children
Confusion dances in the dusk of your mind
Echange your blessings for deceptions good night kiss
Skin like winter
Cherished one fading away
I can see your breath begging to resurrect into death
Hiding scars back laced with splinters
Audience of a congregation make your way to the front
Close your eyes and grieve
You played your part so well
Over two decades now, and this song is still
as insane as ever.
Huevos are timeless
I was never much for e.p.'s but then this happened...
heard this version first way back when...so always liked it better. great post

Definitely split.
“Fall deception, good night kiss…”

I love your command of the English language 😂
Best version, although I like their live versions too
It's the FUCKING MEANEST SHIT
For those that like to think outside of the box
I was always under the impression that this version was a live studio version, and the backing vocals were from the guys in Training For Utopia?

Is that Ryan Clark featured in this song?
Yes it is, back when he and Don were in Training for Utopia
They just released a new track today.
I thought Training for Utopia sang this version as a cover.
