I am commenting from the resort, we have been her a few days now and I have to say that it has been so far an excellent experience. Have encountered one or two staff working at restaurants with off demeanor but overall food has been prompt, staff friendly, noise hasnt been an issue and we went to bed early our first night. This is our 3rd sandals stay and we are both in agreement that so far this has been our favorite resort. It seems they have really stepped up their efforts to make changes since your visit.

This video is absolutely true, we stayed there Oct 2023 and everything she mentioned was still accurate. However like she said the entertainment staff was great and after talking with a few they weren’t from the island. This was our 7th sandals and were very excited to stay a a new resort. I found that in fact this was not a new construction, and isn’t much different from the resort they remodeled. We aren’t against another sandals stay as we booked again before leaving property, however it will not be curaçao.

My wife and I went there a few months after it opened for our 30th wedding anniversary….. it was amazing, sorry to hear that you had not such a great time…. Please give it another chance later…We are looking forward to going there again…. We have stayed at a few resorts RIU and Sandals and have never been disappointed with any of them

Oh wow…. I am so sorry that you two had a horrible experience. My husband and I went to Curacao June 2023. This was our first experience with Sandals and we had a fantastic time. The crew, the management, the food, the entertainment, the people… everything was amazing. We even had a room plumbing issue and they were very accommodating in correcting the issue and add more value to our current stay. We had a fabulous, memorable time there and truly saddened to hear that others did not.

I’m glad I came across this video. I thought maybe I was being dramatic. My wife and I are on day 3 of our 6 night stay and everything you said is so true! It feels like you’re bothering the staff when asking for basic things. Only a handful of excellent employees everyone else acts like they don’t want to be here. I heard great things about sandals but so far I’ve been very disappointed with my experience so far. A bunch of couples that I talked to at the pool expressed the same feeling.
Oh no, I am so sorry to hear you are having a similar experience! That stinks to hear they still haven't worked out these issues. Sandals is usually a great all-inclusive experience. Their Curacao location, though, is a whole different experience.
I’m shocked I’m here right now and what you are both saying is exactly the opposite of my experience. It has been amazing and the whole staff so friendly.

Thank you so much for this review. My husband and I are looking at sandals resorts for a vacation. My husband says that we should go to Santos Ochi, just because it seems to be the cheapest resort. I can’t imagine spending five to $10,000 for vacation.
So sad to hear about your experience with the management, how they try to pay you off and silence you. That’s a beauty of CZcams now, people put their honest opinions on their CZcams channel and their blogs. Something that wouldn’t happen years ago and then you end up going to that resort and then you wasted your money because of such poor service.

I do agree with you about the rooms, and the restaurants. It was the worst resort we have gone to. We went in October 23.
Oh no, I am sorry to hear you did not have a good experience either.
Definitely needs more sun unbrellas. Gurst saving sun beds a 6am in the morning.
We stayed in June and had a phenomenal time. We loved the food, entertainment, and our swim up room was perfection. I also had the absolute best massage of my life- raindrop dreams- at the spa. It was amazing. Most of the staff members were on a contract from Jamaica, and we found them to be very friendly. It stinks y'all had such a bad experience.
I am so glad to hear you had a wonderful time here! We did notice on our last day that there was a large group of staff brought in from Jamaica to help out. Hopefully, this additional staffing/training will help with the issues we experienced.

We just got back from here last week and sadly experienced much of the same in this video. Terribly slow and inconsistent service. We were with a large group and the running joke was to prepare for a 3 hour dinner. We loved both Sandals in St. Lucia, but Curacao was quite disappointing 😢
Oh no! I am so sorry to hear you had a similar experience and that this terrible service is still persisting. We also loved the Sandals in St. Lucia - they customer service was wonderful at those resorts.
Stayed Jan '24. Found the staff friendly, however the food at most of the restaurants was disappointing - especially Butch's. Pietra was good and Vincents was fine for breakfast (except if you wanted Orange Juice). Aolo's was closed the entire week we were there with no explanation ( they said that the Aolos dinner menu was being served by the food trucks, but it would have been ben nice to sit in Aolos as the view was so nice.
The room cleaning was sub par (floors were not being mopped - could not walk around barefoot or would track sand into bed.
At every other sandals we have visited, the servers don't touch the straws - they either use tongs or there is a paper covering on the straw they rip in such a way as to prevent touching the straw.

$495 for a massage 🙈 that’s absolutely shocking, As diamond guests we get a free 30 minutes massage and they always try to get us to add on but no way , just booked for the new one in st Vincent and Grenadines.

No Sandals reviews. We went in Sept 22 and the pool collapsed we were not compensated for our loss of use of the pool. Everything was an additional charge or the vouchers didn't cover full cost. It happened a few weeks prior to our anniversary no way to book or cancel our reservations. The best thing was the food trucks.

A very interesting frank video (ie: true unbiased view). But that NDA is standard practise with sandals, on complaints of that nature etc.

Sadly, poor customer service is island wide that stems from a strange mentality and misconception of what it means to show hospitality. Somehow it was negatively confused with the idea of "serving" someone. 🤷♀️

Yes, my previous experiences have all been very positive with Sandals. Their St. Lucia resorts are amazing, and I loved Beaches Turks & Caicos.
It sure sounds like a winy video. We were there last June and can not find one thing that was the resorts fault. Boo hoo, you hear people talking in the hallway. Seriously? So talking is a no-no at a resort? Really? As others have said, this place is awesome. We, too, have been to several other resorts, and this one is as good or better. Not everything is perfect.

I'm not sure if I understand what you are asking, but yes, many people did ask for my experience at this resort. Therefore, I provided an honest recount of my experience.

If you book the cheapest room, and are located on a middle floor in the middle of the building, you are rolling the dice with regards to noise. If you happen to have loud neighbors or someone who is always ordering room service, that's what going to happen. Same things happens in a hotel. You can blame Sandals for the other stuff and service issues, but not your room choice IMO.

Just returned from there and wow what a place. Absolute paradise, couple of minor errors made my human beings but would return in a heartbeat. I suggest you don't use this idiots affiliate link making her money and ignore this channel.
