Atmospheric, imposing,engaging, and very eerie is this amazing song ideal for the most atmospheric and probably the scariest horror movie of all time like "The Fog"(1980)!
If you like Trance music, you gotta love the Stuff John Carpenter as Done, Some Amazing Pieces. This is one of my fav's along with the Fog Main Theme, His Movies are so unique as not only did he direct he did the movie scores with it, What a genius!
This music is brilliant. It makes you feel like the fog is actually following, and trying to surround and trap you. The banging soundtrack is very scarily effective.
Gosh, finally I find this. I always loved this theme, it was both creepy and exciting at the same time. Many times, when horror movies try to make a music exciting and suspenseful in the climax they end up losing most of the creep factor. This one does not. It still has the creep factor while still being exciting and amping up the suspense. One of my favorite horror movies ever. Very few movies today are as spooky as this. I wish someone had the guts to make an old school ghost movie lile this. Maybe in a future. Thanks for uploading this btw.
The theme is, as you say, creepy and exciting, especially near the end when carpenter ramps the volume up. Really increases the suspense. Very skillfully done.
I LOVE movie ...im FROM Spain....BUT specially i LOVE places where film was shooted It!! LOVE locations....san Antonio bay in California seems a very beauty place.....never Been to Usa greetings FROM SPAIN...LOVE 80s horror movies.....jammye Lee Curtis And adriane barbeau are awesome!
+Fred Marlin Part of what makes the music work so well is its simplicity - it consists mostly of an ominous synth pulse played at differing speeds and volumes, punctuated by percussive, resonant "crash" sounds. By the way, I think I know how the latter sound may have been created. Specifically, Carpenter ran a bit of white noise through a rapidly closing VCF filter on his synth with the resonance cranked to maximum, similar to what Kraftwerk did with their song "Nummern".
Stephen. I Love the 1980 The Fog. I Love John Carpenter. I Love Adrienne Barbeau. The remake is garbage. The original Fog is THE BEST. I've seen it over 200 times.

John Carpenter is one of my idols. The Fog, Halloween and Halloween 3 are his best score works. The man is a synth God!
