Thanks for watching! If you have any questions feel free to leave them below! Stay tuned for the interior video next!
I am really struggling with my 2020 Ram Rebel EcoDiesel build. I'm not trying to do anything as extensive as you, but trying to lift approximately 2" and put 285/75/18s on (leveled with slightly bigger tire essentially for a little more clearance). Bilstein has told me the 6112s are NOT compatible but can't tell me why. I understand from BDS that "at some point" lifting the vehicle (diesel specifically) requires a shorter drive shaft. I can't find definitive details on any of this. Do you have any advice for me?
@@briangallagher7087 I am legit in the exact same boat. I want 6112 really bad, rather than the 5100 but every shop & bilstein themselves said they are not compatible. The ecodiesel 2020 Rebel conventional suspension have the exact same part numbers as the HEMI option. Makes no sense.
Bro you’re living my dream. Beautiful truck and nicely built. Good luck and be safe please on your journeys
Definitely one of a kind REBEL ! I like the style and the direction your going, keep it up ! cant wait to see the progress .
Definitely what I am going for! Not sure if there are many Rebel's out there like this!?
So much progress on this build. Love where it’s at now!
It's def come along way since purchase!
Love this beast, thanks for the walkaround ! Excited to see more
Thanks man! More to come!
One of my all time favorite builds. Cruising it.
woo we gotta get out there! do a update video on the Tremor
@@RoamingLost yes!!
Well thought out nice Rig for sure!!
Thanks 👍
inspiring build!
thanks! it was a good one.
Cool truck! I continue with the interior
Right on!
I’ve also got to say, your IG page is one of my absolute favorites. Wickedly underrated. Always amazed that you don’t have a bigger following on there.
I appreciate that! Sometimes i think the same lol. But hey all good! as long as people are enjoying
Love it!!!
Thanks my dude!
Looking forward to the video hope the Dodge treats you well. I ordered my X1 last September hopefully they'll get to building it soon.
The X1 has been awesome! no issues and those guys rule.
Love it! I want to do something similar with my Rebel.
Go for it!
Sick setup dude! Just got a 21' night edition ecodiesel w/ icon stg 4 kit and 35s en route!
hell ya congrats!
Great video! I have the 2022 in this truck. I know you have since upgraded the suspension in yours but I was hoping to get your advice on this set up. Did you use the stock coils with the Billy’s at the time, both front and rear? What were you running in back for shocks? Im looking at the 6112s max height with a UCA then 5160’s in the rear with Billy’s B12’s rear coils. I’d eventually put 35’s on when I need to replace the Goodyears. Any advice would help, thanks!
Looking forward to seeing the rooftop tent review.
full camper review coming!
I want to ask, have you changed the front and back gears? I have a 2023 Rebel 4x4, and I have an overland build on my truck. I get about 9 miles per gallon. It's because I couldn't regear the front and back ring and pinion. Currently, I have 3.92 gears, but I want to change them to 4.88. Do you know where to get those gears, or can you explain what I can do to improve my mileage?
I didnt change the gears. being a eco diesel i didnt find it needed that.
Are you running into clearance issues with the 35s and level kit during normal driving or only when it's tucked? Wanting to get the same setup with Bilsteins and 35s for my Rebel.
Some rubbing but I did minimal trimming, will prob do some more once i switch to Fox
Did the Manta 270 awning mount ok to the side tracks of the superpacific? Any conflicts with the canopy doors? Thanks!
actually really liked that awning! no issues.
Wont the cv axles be at a bad angle with the 3” lift up front? Hammer down motorsports had the 3.5” sst from readylift and his axles were getting messed up. I’m curious to see if the fox would do the same or if since its a coilover and not a spacer would it he fine?
a concern for sure but i havent heard of any issues with the fox, i think sst is a spacer lift? this is a full coil over replacement
Any ecodiesel engine cooling issues with the pair of 6" and 4" lights up front blocking some of the airflow?
no issues!
Love the build. I’m also wondering how you mounted the lights to the front bumper.
thanks man, pretty easy with some threaded rivnuts and boom.
AS a fellow 2020 rebel eco diesel owner, I enjoy following your build. One question, Any issues with the factory nav/infotainment system with the rtt blocking the fin antenna? Its my only concern for when I move our alucab rtt from our jeep to the rebel.
thanks for following along!! I have had 0 issues. alucab might be different tho. im guessing its dependent on material.
How did you mount the round lights on the front?
rivnuts
I just got a rebel and looking for rear rack ideas , I was wondering who makes the cab you have on the back?
Thanks and awesome vids!
the camper? its made by super pacific!
I saw on the Shocks Surplus YT page you were moving to Fox 2.5 DSC from Bilstein 6112. Assuming you have done this by now, can you share your thoughts on it? I am researching suspension upgrade for my Tacoma. I am overlanding w/ camping and photo gear and have a GFC V1. Bed gets loaded up w/ gear and I am making a bed drawer system.
check out those videos on shock surplus i go over the comparisons of the versions i have had.
Looking great! What kind of mounts are you using for the light pods on the front grill?
threaded rivnuts 👌
Love the lighting on the front grill. How did you wire everything up? I really wish RAM included upfitter switches.
Everything wires up to a switch pros, pretty easy setup!
Like the video, but what did you do to the rear for the added weight?
At the time of this video i had airbags, but since added the icon 1.5" springs as well
Thanks, please show us your camping setup. ✌️
Stay tuned for the 3rd video
I too have the 2020 ram rebel have you put the fox coilover leveling kit on yet I haven’t seen many builds with it... I ordered it hoping it will fit 35’s without much trimming
I just got it in, but havent installed yet. Dying to. I think youll need to trim the front mudflap any way you do it tho.
@@RoamingLost I’m having mine installed in two weeks but yea I’m thinking the same with some minor trimming as I have read that will only obtain a 1” level in the front over stock height
What roof rack did you go with for the quad cab
Front runner
Alabama Hills!
Just found your channel how do you like the Ecodiesel for overlanding
i dont have it now, but it was great when i had it!
Who makes the cap and roof tent?
super pacific
Awww the dog @7:57 like mine
Shadow! Hes the best
How much lift did you get from factory height with the 6112s? I have the Built to Serve edition w the OffRoad package. Was debating the 6112s if it was worth it
The lift difference i believe is different between our 2 trucks, since my comes with a 1" lift over stock from factory.
@@RoamingLost it’s the same, mine just didn’t come w the Bilsteins stock. The OffRoad group comes 1” above stock too. Talking with Bilstein R&D about it. Do you find it was worth the swap?
Where did you get the camper shell?
www.superpacificusa.com/
I am curious about the cap . it is strong enough to mount a roof top tent. What is the make?
Its a camper made by Super Pacific... so I dont think a RTT would work with this one
@@RoamingLost Thanks for the response. I apologize for not paying attention in the beginning where you see the tent up. Is Super Pacific the model or name of the company.
How are you doing with fuel mileage on the 35s?
Crazy but true, about 18-20 MPG
@@RoamingLost nice. Thank you
@@jeremybrown9379 on the eco diesel, about 14-16 highway with the 5.7 gas. Source - I own one
You get the new fox shocks on it?
i did check out Shock Surplus youtube channel for a review
How much cost a build like this because next year I’m getting a rebel maybe 2021 or 2020 and I’m wandering how much cost a build like this
To be honest, i have no idea. But I suggest budgeting a build, itll give you a great idea of that cost.
What is the topper?
super pacific
Hi I have a question. I am in the process of ordering a Ram Rebel with the 5.7 HEMI option. I was wondering if you could ask your cousin about the eTorque system and whether or not it is wise to get it. Currently it is the same price with or without eTorque. I am just concerned that it might bring some reliability issues later on. Thank you.
I wouldn't get it. I have the 5.7 hemi without e crap. No probs.
Heard bad about e torque so I figured why take the chance.
Lake Havasu 🌞 Az
@bquade70 thanks for your reply
id go non e torque!
@@baranak7031 so what did you end up getting? Mines a '18 Ram 1500 5.7 Tradesman 4*4.
Bilstein, toyo rt 35, .. Just about done with this build.
Any plans for paint protection?
truck has been sold, so probably not ;)
@@RoamingLost Dam what's next... Ram 2500 Power Wagon Build
I have a ford OBS now 😆
@@RoamingLost I had my eyes on a 1997 F350 - some guys get all the luck. Can't wait to see what you roll out.
How are you still liking the truck. I am in the market for something like a truck or large SUV and have like what I have seen with this eco diesel. Great videos!
thanks for checking it out but I dont have this truck anymore! its been almost a year since I sold it
@@RoamingLost why did you get rid of it? Were you having issues?
Why can't ram just add AC sets to the rebel
Gen 1 was the problem child of these engines. Gen 2 (the very limited numbers that were produced) was redesigned and updated. Gen 3 was then built to accommodate those that did not get a Gen 2. My shop is specialized in Gen 2 trucks and we absolutely love them as they are the most reliable 4th gen diesels. If you're looking for a fairly priced overlander I would not hesitate to grab a Gen 2 if you can find one!
Great video but damn get that guy some coffee 😴
😅
Do not get the Fox bro they aren’t as good as people says, my 2.5 got mess up, broken then the adjustable preloaded ring got strip!!!!
Kinda late for that, already got them and love them. No issues
