    Thanks Jason for your independent and thorough review of the Waldrop Pac Seat. I have thought about ordering a Waldrop for years, but I never pulled the trigger. However, after trading a couple of emails, with Tim Shiver @ Waldrop, I ordered a Pac Seat and large Game Sac. I think the Game Sac will will be handy during my upcoming Arizona cow elk hunt this September. I credited your CZcams video, in my email to Tim, for pushing me over the edge to order the Pac Seat. The fact that you purchased the Pac Seat was the most convincing factor to purchase. So thank for pointing that out. A very positive review of a product that you spent your hard-earned money on has much more weight with me, than a glowing review of a "gift" from the manufacturer. In addition to your review of the Pac Seat itself, taking the time to demonstrate the various setup scenarios, and carrying options, were other key factors that helped with my decision to purchase. Finally, I would like to note that Waldrop is a Veteran-owned company and they do give consideration to Veterans, but you do need to contact them ahead of ordering. I emailed them a picture of my VA card. Thanks again Jason, for another informative video. Good Hunting, Ross

    I looked at this a yr ago and thought it was super cool!!! Can’t justify the cost when I can grad fold up camping chairs for $8 in Walmart and have 10 of them spread through the woods where they are needed. We also have to bring our animals whole to tag them at tagging stations in my state so that hinders the functionality of this. I always LUV to see different ideas though and this is a great multi tool!!! Great review as usual!!!

      That's is very true. One of the big advantages to this chair is how it can adjust for hills, dips, uneven ground and how it can get right against a tree even if it has roots or a wide base. I definitely love this chair. I. Going to actually buy a second one just to have a back up.

      In today's money it's a great price comparatively. They are a small family owned business so it's not like they can buy materials at the rate as make companies can and nothing is automated, it's all 100% hand made. I love it and the functionality and the quality.

    Best seat on the market. And I have bought many seats over the years. My current favorite is the Millineum Tree seat. Now that you showed how to put packs on I will be getting one. I boned out my buck last year. And will never drag a deer again. This will haul my game bag. Thank You.

      @SamkoTradBow  Před rokem +1

      Agree dragging animals is pointless unless it's required by regulation. I have a spot I hunt that requires deer to be brought out whole and to a check station. That sucks! Boning them out in the field is so much faster and easier.

    I think it’s on par as far as price goes but from many years of hunting a seat that has legs on them sink into the ground, usually on more than the other. If the front legs were like the rear it would be a winner.

      @SamkoTradBow  Před rokem +2

      He sends it with tennis balls on the front for us swamp hunters to use. But honestly even in the swamp it doesn't sink bad. The rubber feet on the front are big diameter and barely sink even in the ga swamps

      Cut a piece of pvc pipe a little wider than the legs. Drill 2 large holes, 1 for each leg. Its a hack that is done on lawn chairs to keep them from sinking in.

    The chair legs seem to hang kind of low and near the back of your thigh in backpack mode. I have read that some individuals complain that the legs hit the back of their legs when hiking in has that been an issue for you?

      It's easier to stabilize with the front being separate legs on un even ground. It also co.e with tennis balls you can put on it to keep it from sinking in the mud. This chair is so amazing. I have other options for hunting that will work well and replacements for them are not as pricy, the small easy take down stool is the main thing I will replace with a better model when mine fails for good, that Walmart one had a single leg of the 4 fail after light use, in the 2000's but is not out of use if I sit on it in the right way that for bowhunting will be my main model and getting a new one for hunting uses. Then a flat folding black chair if needed for long use sitting and last my Heat a Seat if I am hunting a spot that has enough places to set that down on but mainly for Gun hunting when it is colder out.

    If you had to choose between this and your hang on what would it be?

    • @SamkoTradBow
      @SamkoTradBow  Před rokem +1

      right now my hang on still. Im not ready to be on the ground all the time yet. but that day is not far away. Im getting tired of being stuck in a tree and now that im gonna be hunting many miles deep and scouting my way in carrying all the stands harnesses etc is gonna get old quick. Plus there is a real power to hunting on the ground. Right now Im expecting to be about 60% tree and 40% ground for deer this year.

    I noticed the chair legs ride low when being on back. Do you notice this or is it awkward?

    • @SamkoTradBow
      @SamkoTradBow  Před rokem +1

      Not a problem at all even going over blow downs. Especially when I carry it on the back of my pack and it sticks out away from me a bit more. This chair carrys like a dream and is so comfortable and multi functional. I love it. Also keep in mind im only 5'6" tall!

    • @SamkoTradBow
      @SamkoTradBow  Před rokem

      I dont think 225 is expensive for this. Most pack frames cost that much, most hunting chairs are over 100 and this one peice does all that and takes the chair to a level I've never seen. All under 5 pounds of pure quality and simplicity. I am going to buy another one soon and put it on a shelf so I always have a back up!
