Having lived in both Toronto and Vancouver, Toronto shits all over Vancouver. Vancouver is like a small town in comparison, and the culture is very sterile and cold in comparison.
I have never been to BC, but I can't stand BCers. They all say "you should visit". Why? There's no skiing in the east? There is no natural beauty this side of the continent? And, that city is fugly. You're telling me that skyline is something to behold? It's so damn cluttered and those buildings are ugly international style.
***** Vancouver is a beautiful city and life is good there, but the people and city vibe are very sterile. Probably due to the huge gap between rich and everyone else, and the rich tend to be foreigners (Chinese) who stick to their own communities. The average person in Vancouver can be educated and well paid, but it's pointless in the end because housing is so out of reach. $70k/year salary won't put a dent in a $1.4 million average house price. In Toronto at least you can buy a very nice new 1 or 2 bedroom condo downtown for $400k-$500k, and live in a far more vibrant and "alive" community. Something similar downtown Vancouver will set you back $700k-$1mil, and the downtown scene isn't as good.
NBA, NHL, Baseball teams, TIFF, Caribana, big Highways, skylines-buildings-architect, great local musicians-actors who originated here who are international stars now...not to mention great culture and fashion scene......what else you want? Haters gonna hate... Toronto is here and will stay!!!

Toronto use to be good to live in up until 1977-78. 1979-80 is when it started turning very bad. Finally moved out of the hellhole prison place in 2010. It was the best thing to happen in my life in almost 32 years. Wish i would have moved out decades earlier back in the early 1980's instead of wasting over 30 years longer of my life living there.
Actually, London England is far more expensive, crowded and people are more boxed in. I generally hate living here and would gladly come back to Toronto if I could. There's more space in Canada, and I have yet to visit the Maritime provinces. I always used to hear the 'newfie' jokes while living in Toronto. And people had this perception, that people out east are thick and stupid. Here in the UK, most people outside London don't like the city and I can't blame them. People in the north of England are generally more friendlier and less bothered about what you do for a living, and more interested in what you do in your spare time. Toronto is an oasis of authentic arts and culture, it has the 3rd largest English speaking theatre industry after NYC and London. It has the largest collection of urban Victorian architecture (i.e. The distillery distict). It is the only city in Canada with 24 hour public transportation (Blue Night Network), there is lots more but too much to mention in one comment, plus it is really really safe. Statistically, Ontario has much less crime than the rest of the Canadian provinces, and Toronto has much much less crime than Vancouver and Montreal. It was actually named the safest city in North America by the Economist in 2015. The dangerous notorious perception of Toronto comes from long standing subtle racism that exists within Canadian society. People need to stop bashing Toronto based on here say and actually come here and see for themselves that its actually not the big scary city that it is perceived to be. I love you Toronto, you are home.
I'm not sure if this is just a western thing, but in my experience, there are so many entitled people in toronto. Many people complain over the shallowest things and harass people over it.
Montreal all time great city , because everything’s super nice, they don’t increase every time house rent and car insurance higer , they are always under control
I lived in Toronto for a short time in 2000, and came back for a number of holidays, after staying in touch with several good friends. From a born and bred Londoner(England), I found Toronto very different, although still busy for a big city, but less crowded compared to my home city. Comparing it to Vancouver, after also visiting that city twice, I still think TO comes out better. There's more things to do, places to see, despite it being more built up. The winters are severe and summers are hot, but I much prefer that to the dismal summers of England and wet and mild winters we tend to get over here. Probably why I'm not a big fan of Vancouver, but I must admit I do like the area around Stanley Park.
I used to live in Toronto and greatest thing about going there was being able to leave there. I don't like any city so I would say the same about Vancouver without even being there.
better than living in a place not many people wants to be. I am originally from Mississauga, now living in North York, I am waiting for promotion so that I can afford downtown condos someday. I would rather live a proper city life than waste my life on highways, ugly same old big houses, same old roads, same old chains.
Its commonplace for people to hate the biggest city in their country, loads of Americans talk crap about NYC, so do the French about Paris, Australians about Sydney etc.
Lol cause people love to shit where they eat.....these large cities are funding their roads built for 10 people who use them up north in a small town, the bus service picking up their kids 1 km away from each other too, the small towner's get the advantage of living a six figure income life in a small town on their 40,000 a year or less income. They should be thankful for the big cities.
The only reason I would consider moving to Toronto is because I'm a beer geek and the craft beer selection in Toronto is amazing. Bellwoods Bring Out Your Dead is one of the best Imperial Stouts I've ever drank. Flying Monkeys also make some awesome beer. I certainly wouldn't move there to see the Leafs, they suck, LOL
I've been to Toronto 5 times. What is there to hate about Toronto? 1. Traffic 2. a lot of ugly and poor neighborhoods 3. street cars, yes they do look cool, yet they're so Goddamn slow 4. rude bus drivers 5. sometimes it looks like 95% of Toronto residents are hipsters (and a high concentration of hipsters is something that even hipsters genuinely - not ironically - hate)
I disagree with the ugly and poor neighbourhoods. Yes we do have some in the inner suburbs but there is so much character and culture - the rest of Toronto is victorian architecture and contemporary buildings. Also I think the more ‘hip’ people the more people enjoy standing out and not going with the crowd. I actually love to see people dress up, I think in Toronto dressing up how you want is kind of celebrated and encouraged.
@@canadiandude24 No we are not the same, we should not even try to be. Us Canadians are a lot more cold and reserved compared to Americans, but many people don’t know that many regions from Canada actually hate eachother. Try having someone from Quebec, Alberta and Ontario in the same room.

I have lived 3 years in British Columbia but from 6 months I'm in Toronto. I studies in British Columbia (Mechanical engineering). But for engineers only Ontario has jobs so for me Toronto. But for peace of mind there is no doubt British Columbia is best in the world.
there are legit reasons to hate us Torontonians. My dashcam vids will show you one of the biggest. But I think the last guy got it half right, majority that put the hate on us have never been here where others had different expectations. I was born and raised here, never thought of it as the center of the universe but it is the center of what I know and understand. Having travelled around the US and Latin America, I make comparisons because TO is my benchmark. Vegas has an over the top mad night life we can't even compare to. New Orleans restaurant scene is so much more vibrant and service centric to vs even the best we have to offer. I love Boston architecture over our sights. But home is home
Typically Canadian anti urban sentiment, if you want the economy to improve its the big cites that do it not rural communities. For every 1 person it takes at least 3 people to support that one person ie food, housing and etc. A city concentrates people and creates demand for other services thus fueling more employment. People in the rural areas are separated from long distances and are either forced to become independent or struggle on there own. I guess the rest of Canada still thinks being rural and selling resources to the US is the way to go, that only works if the US is the dominant economy, times have changed.
Thats a fact. I don't want to here ignorant Caucasians blaming immigrants and immigrants blaming Caucasians for discrimination. Theres several Caucasians and immigrants that have become successful in Toronto so its counter productive to blame each other. The one thing they both have in common is finding a need and selling it.
i'm from Paris originaly live in Canada now ,iv' been to Toronto and New-york 2 times Toronto have for sure less caracteres but maybe it's because Us people are proud of their biggest city and in Canda it's the opposite , i like Toronto it's like a Canadian Nyc , and i'm not sayin that about dundas square/Times square , the skyline is gettin very impressive and iv been to Dubai and Hong-Kong !!
Each person must have their own personal reason I guess. I'm a montrealer and I love the city of Toronto! There's a lot to do, I found great people their, but at the end, I'm always glad to come back home. It's too north american for me and I like the Europe style of Montreal. Vancouver is slower paced but much more beautiful the views of the mountains the ocean the green scenery is beautiful and something to behold if you never been here Stanley park is the best park in the world with 3 beachs one being right downtown the city is like new very modern new buildings extremely clean food sucks besides Granville island its hard to find a good place to eat it rains a lot in the winter gets depressing after 3 strait months of it the cost of living is highest in country average person can not afford to buy a house here anymore
Toronto is a great city.
No Tronto fucking expensive city for nothing,
Toronto is an oasis of authentic arts and culture, it has the 3rd largest English speaking theatre industry after NYC and London.
I like Vancouver more
Only thing depressing is the rain there
Drought is more depressing than rain, because then everything starts burning up, which is far more depressing than a little rain.
Try staying in Vancouver! Unbelievably bad place to live. Everyone is lonely.
Arjun Chatterjee Lonely, bitter and bored.
I wouldn't want to live in Toronto but I don't mind visiting every now and then.
I'm not sure if this is just a western thing, but in my experience, there are so many entitled people in toronto. Many people complain over the shallowest things and harass people over it.
Montreal all time great city , because everything’s super nice, they don’t increase every time house rent and car insurance higer , they are always under control
1:30 hit the nail on the head
I had no idea
1:08 imagine this fella going to visit Mexico City, with over 20 million people!
It's a little brother complex.
a232313 Angry little brother.
Greater Toronto population 8 million
Vancouver 2.5 million
No comparison
Vancouver proper has 700,000 people. Sad.
Word!
Toronto the best city in the world. Nice people, food, winter, snow more snow and more snow 🌨.
London is better than Toronto, I can’t believe how big our city is
@@c3realK1ll4h London also has 6 million more people with a history spanning centuries so I think it’s an unfair comparison, but yeah, yes it is.
loll.. someone's jellyy... t.o. love ♥
I agree with you @1:21
0:58 --- hahahahahhaaha!!!
I used to live in Toronto and greatest thing about going there was being able to leave there. I don't like any city so I would say the same about Vancouver without even being there.
Such a negative guy
better than living in a place not many people wants to be. I am originally from Mississauga, now living in North York, I am waiting for promotion so that I can afford downtown condos someday. I would rather live a proper city life than waste my life on highways, ugly same old big houses, same old roads, same old chains.
Toronto is an astronomical oddity; it's also the centre of the universe.
@@KrazieSevin Toronto is different tho
Kenny and spenny live here
The only reason I would consider moving to Toronto is because I'm a beer geek and the craft beer selection in Toronto is amazing. Bellwoods Bring Out Your Dead is one of the best Imperial Stouts I've ever drank. Flying Monkeys also make some awesome beer. I certainly wouldn't move there to see the Leafs, they suck, LOL
Scott Breon born and raised Torontonian...I don't even bother watching anymore. Is Dommie still playing? lol
I live on the outside of Toronto and
I'm from Toronto, Toronto
I've been to Toronto 5 times.
What is there to hate about Toronto?
1. Traffic
2. a lot of ugly and poor neighborhoods
3. street cars, yes they do look cool, yet they're so Goddamn slow
4. rude bus drivers
5. sometimes it looks like 95% of Toronto residents are hipsters (and a high concentration of hipsters is something that even hipsters genuinely - not ironically - hate)
issa big city obvi you gon see a heck lotta hoods around. and the traffic? Fham issa big city. get over it. Y'all jealous you ain't us
Toronto is the richest city in Canada.
I thought canada is suppose to have a hell of respect for each other what the hell !
Canadians and americans are almost the same you know
@@canadiandude24 No we are not the same, we should not even try to be. Us Canadians are a lot more cold and reserved compared to Americans, but many people don’t know that many regions from Canada actually hate eachother. Try having someone from Quebec, Alberta and Ontario in the same room.
@@torink8229 I mean its the same with the US (People from Texas/Florida don’t get along with people from California/New York)
Cost of transit is cheaper than New York and London, England.
But it’s smaller and shittier
Cant say anything much about other cities, really havnt been anywhere, but i love toronto and for a city of its size the crime isnt that bad, and generally the people are nice and its the best place if you want mexican and korean food on the same street
I love toronto. but I ever never came there. I'm from damascus?
The majority of the rude people I've encountered are people born outside of Canada.
I remember living in vancouver for about a month.....it was fantastic...
Oh, Mohit only said the last line just for clarity and I said the rest. We both hate the winter being so long, unbelievably cold. He hates driving here....ha,ha..poor guy.
Toronto Rules!!
although it is a great multicultural centre, and has great education programs, and an overall healthy population
wasnt expecting someone to be from burlington lol thats where im from
Nice
Because hockey
1:19 LOL!!😂
I have lived 3 years in British Columbia but from 6 months I'm in Toronto. I studies in British Columbia (Mechanical engineering). But for engineers only Ontario has jobs so for me Toronto. But for peace of mind there is no doubt British Columbia is best in the world.
Look how friendly we are lol!!
lol you can so tell the women in red is from northern ontario or near ottawa.
Jealousy will get my fellow Canadians nowhere.
there are legit reasons to hate us Torontonians.
@hoodle101 Vancouver is much worse in that regard, whereas Edmonton & Montreal has none of it.
The one thing they both have in common is finding a need and selling it.
lasted 6 months in Vancouver, its a police state. more freedom here..
Будь здоров !
the last commenter speaks the truth yas!
i'm from Paris originaly live in Canada now ,iv' been to Toronto and New-york 2 times Toronto have for sure less caracteres but maybe it's because Us people are proud of their biggest city and in Canda it's the opposite , i like Toronto it's like a Canadian Nyc , and i'm not sayin that about dundas square/Times square , the skyline is gettin very impressive and iv been to Dubai and Hong-Kong !!
lmaaooooooooooooo toronto all day
To-To Town. Greatest city that never was.
he 6
Each person must have their own personal reason I guess. I'm a montrealer and I love the city of Toronto! There's a lot to do, I found great people their, but at the end, I'm always glad to come back home. It's too north american for me and I like the Europe style of Montreal. I still enjoy visiting the queen city once in a while. Ohh... don't ask me though to cheer for the Leafs though, that's probably the only thing I hate from T.O. ;)
Toronto is great
