Had dreamed of going ever since the 6th grade in 1980, I told my dad then that all I want is a trip there, I grew up and still reside in California and never got the chance, finally at age 45 on father's day I told my 75 year old father that I'm planning a trip and taking him, he lives in Arizona, we met in Chicago and flew to Cleveland, spent a week there, took in the pro football HoF, Rock n Roll HoF, Cleveland Indians game then the Browns home opener against Miami, greatest week of our lives, I'm moved to tears every time I think about it
I've been there, and it's a "must do" experience for every true fan of the game. If you love the game, you have to make that pilgrimage once in your lifetime.
I can tell you that there definitely is a gift shop inside the HoF. It was well merchandised with great gift items and mementos. I can't remember what restaurants were in the immediate area. I visited in 2002. If you love the sport, it will be worth the trip. The entire history of the game is in that Hall.
And,then there was those that shared all of your memories for you to be great! As an American great athlete on an American Professional sports league . American Sports Film School (2019)
Just made my first trip to the Hall of Fame and I'm glad I went, though I was a little surprised there weren't more artifacts and there wasn't as much pre 1990's exhibits as I expected for those of us who came of age during the Pete Roselle era. . It had a little bit of a feel that that the NFL started in 1990. Definitely worth a visit and the team store is the ultimate man cave dream shopping experience.
I went there with my girlfriend in 1966 and it was great but my 1st thought was they better start adding on because I knew it would be a greater event each year. Its too bad that they don't have film from when it was built and in 1963 to the present day and what it all looked like then. That would be an interesting story.
I love this HOF, the NFL from my childhood until '01, but despise what it has become. I will always watch classic NFL games but not today's version. Since 2001, it's been very obvious the league had changed into rigged entertainment, adios NFL.
1 entrance to this place costs more than an imax movie for 2 PEOPLE! we realize millionaires play this game but millionaires aren't coming to this place. it's common working class people. that price is a ripoff. $25 is crazy to see some things on a wall. give me a break. drop the price. don't price out the very people you need to sustain your business - your fans.
