- i tried my best to research about the history and mythology of Tagin and si donyi. this is the information i could collect . I'm sorry if i hurt someone or didn't mention someone in the video .

Bangni ,Nyi /Nia ku synonyms words hai meaning Human Being .
Bangni human and Bangru (Taru pacha ) and Bangte ( Tiger ) 🐅
Official Bangni nomenclature was given to Kaming belt ,but Tagin people also use to called themselves, Bangni ku ,Nia/ nyi ku and Tani Ku ,these words were use as Synonyms those day's.
Bangni / tungni yes you are right i had an argument in fb the other day with a random guy over this.... my grandfather use to call himself bangni ku rather then tagin i remember this because i ask him how we originate and whats the meaning of tagin when i was a kid and he said he don't know and then he started talking about our genealogy starting from abu tani and then at the end he said we are tani / bangni / tungnyi ku. To be precise he said bangni ku or may v tungnyi ku

Before the year 1970s the Tagins were known as the western Bangni tribe. After that the celebrations of Si-Donyi came into being I think..
Before the 70s i think there was no proper nomenclature of any tribe .. for example abors and dafla but eventually everything was corrected by the elders of then . Si donyi was first celebrated in 1975
Before 1970's tagin never knew as western Bangi.I had read a few books yes Dafla was for not only Nyishi but all the undivided Subansiri belts(Kurung Kumey,Kra Daddi,Upper Subansiri particularly).Yes,the "Achimiri Massacare" in 1953 played a great role to coin today's tagin nomenclature.Wherein,54 fifty four armies(forces) were killed by the tagin people particularly Taliha region due to a sentimental dispute between the armies and the villagers.That time,Tagin people (men) were worn a piece of cloths to cover up male's private area which is called as "Yegin".It is believed that due to misplace of this word, today's tagin nomenclature evolved.However,the word "Tagin" is globally famous since 1975 when for the first time "Si Donyi" was inaugurated in terms of a celebration.For your kind information,the word" Bangi" was used for only Kameng belt.

@@UnKnowndude17 Go and study...the number of books on Tagin.Tagin never had been known as bagni.Don't have a false conception.Bagni is only for Kameng belt.Yeah Dafla is for Subansiri belt except Apatani and Papumpare belt.Like you,I had or have my grandfathers and grandmothers:I too asked the same but they never told me that we were known as "Bagni".Having a false knowledge itself a curse for academic.
