Thank you Marcus, I needed this episode. Lost my uncle on the 11th to a tragic car accident. Tomorrow is not promised. Take advantage of everday. You guys at fresh tracks truly are my role models.
Sorry to hear that brother I lost my dad the beginning of 2023 and my uncle about 3 months later. Thought alot about what you have expressed and couldn’t agree more. Take care.
I really like the narration Marcus - the tribute to your mentors @16:24; really touching!
I was in a timber accident 16 years ago. I broke my neck and my back in 4 places. Needless to say i have had to change my hunting style. I still enjoy the outdoors and am so grateful to be walking and alive to enjoy my life. There is still a part of me that really wishes i could just dive off into any wilderness without any forethought. Thank you for sharing this video and showing that even with limitations a person can still enjoy the outdoors to the fullest.
I think I started Elk hunting when I was 38. Today I'm almost 50, and I can see the end of my trail ahead of me. I figure I'm halfway there. Every season is important, every season matters, every season there's something new to learn. It all goes by so fast. I've sat there at the end of a hunt, feeling like I was "just here" yesterday, when yesterday was last year. My worst day hunting is still better than my best day in the city, and I never get tired of seeing the stars before first gray light, or those mountain sunrise, or just feeling a cool mountain breeze.
I'm like you , the scenery and the time spent was just as good as a kill. Thanks for showing us the hunts !
You got it! Thanks for watching!
Great job Marcus. Tomorrow is never promised. I like the story and relate to this episode. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing it with us.
One of the best episodes on a great channel. Marcus, rou rock!
Marcus u r true inspiration for all us hunters
Thank you for taking us along on your adventure!
Awesome 👏 inspiring film 🎥 there Marcus. Really brings perspective to life and hunting or whatever someone’s passion is. There’s only so many opening days to keep saying oh I will do it next year. I have been wanting to get back out west since 2019 when I was a tag along but didn’t have a tag 🏷️, hopefully 🤞🏻 2024 is the year. I am 41 and I have arthritis in my spine etc and a heart ❤️ condition, plus a gallbladder issue and deteriorating joints so I want to make the most of it.
Great video, I too am living on Blue Sky. Chin up and keep marching ahead.
Had to pause the video to say you have impressed me with your stamina. I also have titamium rods and screws in my back. I still archery hunt elk and found out that my "disability" makes me hunt slower and i spot more game instead of jumping them. Thanks for your efforts to bring a world to people that arent as fortunate. You are appreciated
I am 69 yrs young
Thanks for the kind words!
We really don't know how many hunts we have left. Take advantage while you can.
Thats the truth!
Words I live by! I fell, crushing a vertebrate, lucky to still walk and had a Bison draw 1 month later that I wasn't going to miss. I was in pain constantly but took a really nice bull, all because I said 'yes!'
Randy is has been a good teacher I'm thinking. Marcus and everyone great hunt.
Thank you much!
Fantastic episode!
You can have a great hunt without punching a tag!
Awesome video the Lead cow looks like it was sporting a color
Thanks for watching!
You should have called Buzz to take you into the wilderness area :)
This was great, i hate to admit it, but sometimes i fall into the trap of thinking and assuming these guy's lives are so picturesque and perfect. And that i was just dealt a crap hand of cards, Needed a reminder that we all have sh** we deal with, even my CZcams heroes, and to make the most of it.
You rock Marcus!!!
Great episode.
Good film that elk hunt reminds me of hunting elk in a draw unit in southeast Montana!
Awesome stuff! 👌 😊
Better luck next time. Still looked like a lot of fun.
Season 10, the year of Marcus
Hockett wen't on a few hunts that year!
Bummer dude! I live in Nevada. Nice country probably have been near there
It was a good time!
Thanx
Well you just made me feel pretty damn good about my surgeries I have coming up soon....C3-C7 ACDF and then I after that and I recover from it well enough to have my L4-L5 caged to hopefully help with a crazy sciatica I have on my left leg.... I have steroid injections in my lower back to help with the sciatica pain and the intense surge of tingling and numbness in my foot, I just hope they last long enough so I can recover from my neck surgery I have coming up on the 8th of May 2024. Be careful kids it doesn't take allot to totally mess your body up...I'm 39 and it really sucks to think about all the things you do and love will just be memories at the end of the day...I take my young boys out and much as I possibly can so that I can be with them to teach them how to do things as young men at 8-11 years old, but I also didn't want them to have to grow up to fast just to understand what I'm trying to teach them.... So I always tell them to watch shows like this one so when I'm not able to keep up with them I know there's outdoorsman like you guys to help fill the gap.
Great stuff Marcus, and good filming aswel. Olmost but just not. thanks for telling your story. Good luck to you all.
Thanks for watching!
Looks like a great hunt but there are more commercials then video so I can’t get thru it. What’s up with so many. ???
