These guys were/are absolute geniuses. Highly underrated and it is a shame they didn't get much play in the US during that time.

To be fair, they were never trying to mainstream. They were certainly a major and culturally significant band in the music scene I was in during the 80s in the US. Even so, I didn’t understand the scope of their wider popularity until I moved to Europe for four years between 89-93. While the the shows I saw at home in the US were well attended and fun, seeing the level of intensity at their shows in Belgium, Germany, France, Holland, and the UK was something different. Glad they’re still out there doing great shows. I’m in my mid 50s and the music still hits hard. Such a great band.

@@pablozee6359 They're still alive & kicking! They were doing intense double event two days in a row in Prague, right before covid started. January 2020. It was great!

Sometimes I wonder if he played not knowing English for the American and British interviewers because he did fabulously for this Canadian interviewer!

They usually shunned interviews in order to stay somewhat in the dark. They didn’t want to tell too much. I guess playing as if they couldn’t speak English was a strategy of theirs in that way.
