This comment maybe quite late but... *Make sure you back up your save before starting a glitch that lets you create in your pod!* I see a comment trend of when you're able to create in your pod and you leave and come back to it the game just doesn't let you spawn at all.
For some reason when I started the game, I pressed L1 like you said and nothing had happened unfortunately. I dont know what it could be but it didn't work for me :(
I usually save mine as a object also to make sure I can update it after, but if nothing happens to the Mod, you maybe might of accidentally switched it to changing sackboy to no. But I am adding mods for everyone to use on my original accounts earth, I got one by this video though

i went outside my pod
the spawn is rigid- if you knock the pod off of its normal course you're giga fucked

Well it is a glitch, Not to be rude about it but glitches can break games, I mean it’s LBP3.

Make sure not to add water. It crashes the game LMAO (and if your pod saved it will cause the game to be unplayable)
Do it in levels, it works 👍, but yeah, water in pod is bad
