Thank you so much for viewing and commenting. I wrote myself this spec sheet for another car about two years ago when I wanted to upgrade to a newer vehicle. Being about 6'2-6'3 and about 200-220 or so, I wouldn't fit properly in all cars (primarily sedans). As such, I researched about 5-10 different sites, compiled a list of all the specs I needed to know then I actually went out, with a tape measure and measured my cars, and the upcoming new car (which I did not purchase as I was FAR too big for the car). (I was going to get the 2024 Prius LE AWD but two things stopped me - my current car was bigger, and the mark up at the time was at least $7500-$10000 MORE than the MSRP)
In regards to the curb weight, I searched for the exact numbers from malaysia, europe, and other countries which have this car for about 18 months now and converted it to US standards (pounds vs. kilograms, inches vs. millimeters, gallons vs. litres) ... Then factored in US safety codes, (such as air bags, brakes, added tech), premiums for sound deadening and leather seating, 12-speakers for the Bose sound system, wider tires, etc.

Hope the 0-60 is significantly faster though.. ~8 seconds is not alllllll that impressive at all

I completely agree!!! Unfortunately, since the car is not out yet in the US (as of 5/30/2024), it is hard to say what the official real world numbers will be... If it is quicker, FANTASTIC! Conversely, if it is slower, it would most likely be tuned this way to increase its fuel efficiency.
In all honesty, I am definitely hoping that it is quicker than ~8 seconds 0-60 and also, gets a minimum of 50+ mpg. If so, this will surely, undeniably, take away sales from the current 2024 Corolla LE/SE Hybrid duo and the 2024 Prius as well. Sales from the Corolla due to the performance and chassis tuning, and, sales from the Prius due to its interior size and dimensions.
