Oh, I love that: "You can't heal where you became sick."
As lifelong OU fan this never ever gets old watching.
It's idiotic that they let her go back in that Oregon game and never even tested her for a concussion.
A person who had been hit in the face like Paige (where a concussion was almost 100% assured) is not capable of making a rational decision. Not just the impact but the shock of having been hit interferes with judgment. Shame on all those involved that let her back on the field instead of taking her to the nearest hospital for testing.
not only that but the docotrs didn't fully check her out thoughlly I think all should be glad Paige shared her Story, I am please she did i can understand why she have hard time but i am glad she better now
I remember watching that game. So glad that she realized that she couldn't recover where she was and decided to make the move to OU. Paige is a true inspiration. She deserved to be the first overall pick in the National Pro Fastpitch League.
Shame on Earleywine for putting her back out in the Oregon game without going through any concussion protocol.
exactly that part of big problem its more common now, even in youth we have to make sure if were doing states with babe ruth softball you have to go through test to understand concussions i got to give OU credit here big time
She really is one of my favorite athletes to watch. She dominates with pure joy. Glad she plays for the good guys.
I'm a brand new subscriber watching from London UK. I love softball.
That was painful to see her getting hit. Paige, so sad you had to go through all of that. So glad you ended up at OU under a great coaching staff and were able to get back to pitching. Thank you for 2 great years here, it was a pleasure watching you play. Bless you!
How can anyone give this video a thumbs down... Great video and I'm glad she didn't give up and she started a new chapter! It was disappointing to see her former coaching staff kept her in the game. That was totally CRAZY.
There are people that sustain a concussion and hardly show the sign, this poor girl was literally showing all the sign and they went ignored, if I was an athlete at that school I’d be looking for a new school, so glad you got the help you desperately needed, best of luck.🇨🇦
Mizzou was crazy lucky to have this badass chick on our team...so glad she beasted on our team
It feels good to know that girls like me from Iowa that love softball have so much potential and have so much that has happened to them but still go on and keep fighting for what they love.
Awesome story. So proud of you. My 12 year daughter watched this with me and neither of us knew your softball story. She started pitching last year. It has been exciting. Thanks for sharing because it opened our eyes a little more. Good luck! GO OU!
I am glad you and daughter watch it, as youth umpire we alaways cocern for safety some leauges require facemask others don't but i mostly see people wearing them in the infield you better off.
One of my favorite Sooners ever.
Touching Story! So glad to see Paige fight through and make her way back!
I loved this , thank you miss Lowery for sharing to the world and thank you flo softball for making this possible ,,,,,, I’m a huge OU fan and when I first saw her at OU I was like who’s this? ,,,,, nice ,,,,,, then the impossible happened
She is remarkable and so so so inspiring! We love you Paige 💚
Super Sad Story-Amazing Job Sticking Through
I sustained a nearly identical injury 10 years ago and I'm still in pain. As time goes on, my eye injury actually gets MORE noticeable. I hate seeing pictures of myself because I can slowly see the decline and it scares me. Nothing to do since I'm fortunate enough to still have vision!
Good for you for sticking with the sport. I found your story researching treatment for myself tonight, and I pray for you dear girl. It seemed as though I was perfectly fine for about 3 or 4 years until my globe started settling into the fractured floor.
So inspirational.
this was such a good video ❤️❤️❤️
I play on the 16u team in my town and I love softball. I have wanted to play for OU since I started playing which is about 5 years ago
He put her back in the game? Are you kidding me?!
I think she should've pitched at least once so she was sacred to death. She definitely should've been done something with concussions and stuff.
P..low, you are an inspiration
i love her omggg
Felicidades Paige, Eres Una MUJER uy valiente,,,TQM
Well I’m glad your okay Paige. I’m a huge fan of Oklahoma softball. My favorite softball teams are Florida & Alabama.
Way to go Dylan!
hi oh so cool that you recover time to get back and win
SOS HELP!!!! PLEASE!
Does anyone know the music/instrumental music they used at the beginning of the film? 0 seconds to about 21 seconds???
PLEASE HELP..OR where I could find anything VERY similar????
Got to see her @ tha World Series and LAWWWDDD..She throws straight CHEDDAR!!!!
OH MY GOD SKSKSKS IM GOING TO THE MARY NETTA TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKED OH MY GODDDDDD
The same thing happened to me ik the pain
Congratulations she got drafted
I get she wanted to go back in the game and be strong and courageous. But there is a reason your the coach and you should know better and have your players best interest in mind no matter what.
Just lost even more respect for the Mizzou coach0
Carl Worden why
•olivia14• /////: as a coach, your players should be first priority no matter what
I had heard all those as well. Which just adds to the whole thing
Carl Worden Amanda Sanchez came to LSU from Missouri. She maturely refused to detail the dysfunction at Mizzoulu
how fast does she throw?
Diego Guido the gun said 74 and 75 😳😳😳
It's good that she started wearing a face mask when I was 6 I got hit in between the eyes and almost had a broken nose but that was nothing compared to what happened to Paige
One might think this was produced by the Univ. of Oklahoma Athletic Dept. It wasn't.
So .... did Paige ever face Mizzu and/or Oregon after the incident 🤔???
Yes. Missouri came to Norman, Ok for Regionals during Paige's Senior season. Not sure about Oregon though.
there is a saying and it goes god helps those who help themselves paige is the prime example
Ruben Ledesma so true
I’m not crying your crying!
😭😭
A head shot unprotected, blood and yet went back in. Her coaches let her play/made her play? They should have been fired tthe day after this incident.
GO OU
GROSS NEGLIGENCE..... is what the medical staff and coaches did at Missouri. Unreal that they didn't give a shit.
Oklahoma....QUALITY!
Way to go holly Rowe 🙄🙄
Missouri handled her so very wrong. No wonder their coach got canned. It looks like Paige got the ending she deserved.
I agree. It's people like that, that I admire so much, that overcome adversity. There are people that believe adversity builds character. No, it reveals character.
Would that have happened in baseball ? A player getting hit in the face, and continue playing in that game ?
Paige marry me!! GO SOONER SOFTBALL
This is so sad my coach makes us we’re face mask at all times
Anna Bowler:
my coach told us her story and she won’t let us go without a facemask! i’ve always been annoyed by it but you really don’t think it’s going to happen to you until it happens
We ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ U Paige #BoomerSooner
I play softball and I am a picher and I now know to wear a facemaske
I’m a pitcher and I don’t wear a mask🙄...
Why would you? Every batter you face drives it out of the park.
I'm not a pitcher and I do wear a mask. I'm Batman.
Layla Hernandez same
Layla Hernandez she got hit in the face that’s why...
My team makes everybody in the infield and outfield wear a mask 💙Fusion💙
Woah is me
Omg I did not have motivation for life because I got hit in the eye with a ball
It was the head injury that brought the depression and motivation or lack of. Concussions or traumatic brain injuries can cause a myriad of difficulties.
Not in this world, ahhhh yep, sounds like traumatic brain injury. I see date of 2018 if this happened in 18, the coach, trainer, highest ranking member of AD office who was there, all need to go to jail....SHAME
I just read that she was arrested. In her mugshot she looks pretty awful. She needs some help. Seriously.
