I have an old1.5 hp motor that has a three pole thermal protector that disintegrated. That protector is no longer made. What do I need to look for in buying a replacement?
your demonstration shows a power supply of line to neutral connection. in the case of line to line connection where, instead of one hot line and one neutral, we have both hot wires, L1 & L2 @ 120vac each, can we use this overload/overcurrent protection? which line do we use, L1 OR L2? thanks in advance.

This will work only for two terminal depending on the Amps.

Either L1 or L2 is the issue you can use both side it's still get the same result.
