Dandadan and Sakamoto Days are the two new series that could easily become the next big series that dominates the zeitgeist
I don't think Dandadan will be because its less serious than most popular shonens.

I never thought I would like Shangri-la Frontier as much as I do. Season 2 is now my most anticipated show next to JJK season 3 and Solo Leveling season 2.
Also kind of insane they followed a 2 season long season with a 2 season break followed by another 2 season season. That's 1 year worth of anime crammed into 1 and a half years. If season 2 looks as good as season 1 then it will be the most impressive show of hard work ever.
honestly same . ive never really liked these vr mmo anime when they can just respawn because theres no sense of danger but shangri la frontier pleasantly surprised me

Shangrila frontier is the show I wish Never Existed yet I knew was gonna be made… I tried watching it and though the animation is good.. All the plot and characters are absolutely tasteless for the amount of production that went in it. It saddened me because it just kinda shows the shallowness in youth.. not necessarily Real Youth but how indirectly media is grooming youth to be more and more trope oriented less and less deep in its emotional experience of things and more shallow in what they accept as good entertainment. It is such a shallow show and it did so well just because people don’t expect much depth from the plot of games e anime which is terribly sad specially because it’s a medium that absolutely lends itself for creating mesmerizing works of art. I just can’t encourage things that have little of any substance just cuz they look hype
