- Deep Water Ending Explained, Deep Water starts with a married couple Melinda (de Armas) and Vic (Affleck) at the seeming peak of their attraction to each other. As we fast forward, however, we see they have a young daughter and the spark has gone from the marriage.
At a friend's party, Melinda flaunts her younger 'friend' (clearly a lover, as she kisses him openly), though Vic seems to be not only aware of her extramarital relationships but totally fine with them; his friends, however, are worried he is being made a fool of.

I just want to say that Trixie did an amazing job for being such a little girl for these types of films, would not have thought of anyone else.
She was clearly overlooked but clearly she loved them both but loved her father more since I’m sure she knew her mom was a jezabel
I thought the performances by the actors were great! But the script fell flat for me.
its base on a book. same author as other marital type stories like Indescent Proposal...but yes the movie was not good- it changed alot from the book though.
So true! I felt like I wasted my time watching it 😪
I love the film!
I think vics friends killed the first boyfriend. The black lady was about to confess something before the poison happened. Melinda last boyfriend had yo go! Because he was onto vic poison snail. She clearly didn't have sex with the last guy he was a plant to catch vic red handed. We're did the private eye guy go?
She sucks
It was a decent movie but it should have been longer…those little details they didn’t provide in the end really hurt it. Why was the wallet with the snails? Instead of throwing it out…why did she send don when she knew vic was goin to get it? Did she have a feeling he hid him up there? How? Where did Joel go? He survived but he just disappears for another guy…no flashbacks to Martin..if those things were added this movie would have been AMAZING
So the last murder vic killed him for himself! Not his wife. Vic new the guy wasn't really his wife lover. The guy was to smart for her to be attracted to. He was the private investigator helper. The first guy who was murdered was actually killed by the black woman vics crush. She was about to confess every at the party before the dead body in the pool. Vic poisoned him. Not sure when, but it might have been at the bar when he touched his hand.
@@Rubrick23. Yeah the wallet was like a trophy. Also Melina definitely knew vic did something to Tony but she didn’t really care since the only way vic really expresses his love for her is by killing her boyfriends. She didnt care for any of them tbh.
I agree, I would have loved a better wrap up. It would have been amazing to see something how the body is found in the river, along with the weird neighbors dudes crashed car, and because of the link and him telling everyone how "ben Afflics" charcter killed the first guy, and then telling the police he thinks he killed the "pool guy" , and then convincing the wife to hire a PI with him, it would have been perfect for him to be the scape goat in the end for the murders, as how it could appear he was trying to frame Ben Afflicks charcter for personal or romantic reasons for Ben's wife or the fact that his wife enjoyed ben afflics chacter a little too much. I know movies arnt "real" but a body in a seemingly well known beautiful park like that, a mile or two from a crashed out car in the ravine, that would be discovered in days if not weeks by hikers, bikers, kayakers, etc, thats why I would have LOVED a little tighter wrapup.
@@JJ144169 Damn that's actually pretty good bro. Someone else was complaining about the script. The whole time I thought it was pretty idiotic that Affleck's character could still be so in love with his whore of a wife that blantantly disrespects him, his house and their daughter straight to his face every hour of every day. Like why would she even marry someone she doesn't like or have anything in common with just to turn into such a terrible human being. Both Affleck's and Ana's characters were unrealistically stupid.

I love when dude said, she's flirting all these relationships in front of all of us, she's a f***** up person.
Don't get me wrong, I think the actors were great but after finishing it I just felt like I had watched a whole bunch of nothing. This could've had a great plot twist or something but instead it had the most obvious and anticlimatic ending possible. You could literally tell what was going to happen from the beginning. I mean cmon, weird couple who clearly loves each other despite their weird outrageous behavious? Idk maybe I've watched too many movies and I developed some kind of 6th sense but in my opinion this movie was just lazy, boring and predictable.
I agree, I just finished the movie now. Thr ending was disappointing, very anticlimactic and predictable. I was hoping for a surprise twist or ending. I did enjoy the movie overall for the most part.
I never enjoyed the movie at all. It was like I was watching some desperate guy afraid of moving on. It's a piece of shit.
Guys! Please don't be slaves in our marriages and relationships. It's not worth it
No it was terrible and predictable. I don’t understand where the story line is…
She’s terrible

I loved the endless lawn parties. Hard to believe that can happen so often? As a parent I wish I could have that part of the movie in my life.
Me and my husband use to party like that at our house very often like every weekend and we have three kids. It's not a good thing though, we both quit drinking alcohol now so those days are gone but I look back and feel guilty about it. Lasted for about a year
@@MoonlightWhispers23 do you think it is possible to drink or have/attend parties and still be a good parent?
@@taylor11111 yes of course you can still be a great parent and have fun no doubt. But I personally still felt guilty about it for some reason
@@MoonlightWhispers23 you guys should try again for old times sake. That’s the time everyone unwinds in events like that. They can be fun.
I don't really like those types of parties, not my thing. I am not too social I suppose and for those types of parties there is no hiding anywhere. I would rather be at home with my dog who does not talk bs.
Who wants a wife that's the life of each social event, one who's disrespectful, promiscuous, self-centered to say the least.A single female has every right to sleep with whoever she wants, not a married woman.
And that's the most disturbing part about this movie. It's bull shit, why should somebody be a slave to love when love is supposed to bring people together. If I was vick I would have left her miserable and loose life
Exacto. You don’t wanna a wife like that .
Yes her character I did not like
@@Norita562 I just can't wrap my head around a person, male or female that would marry someone and do that to them. Multiple people in your spouses face!

Maybe she only met Tony again so Vic would kim him. To get revenge for breaking up with her and breaking her heart. That‘s my theory.
Wow didn't think of that
It seemed they were both equally psychotic.
She met him as in she saw she had a fake name and wasn’t the true him

If you’re not into psychological thrillers where you have to insert your own interpretations without clear reasoning.. this won’t be the one for you. I enjoyed the portrayal of the sick amount of love you can feel for someone and how to cope with those emotions, this was taken to an extreme level of if I can’t have you, no one can.. instead keeping the subject and eliminating the rest to ensure that happens.
I just watched this movie amazing!!!

She's a textbook narcissist, she only cares about herself. As you can see,she doesn't care to much for her child. A married woman entertainment multiple men. Welcome to the world of narcissism.
Just horrible lol, idk why ppl love it.
I interpretated that her first american love broke her heart and caused her some sort of trauma to act out her sabotaging behaviour throughout her marriage.
Maybe that’s why his murder was the most violent he felt jealous Tony was the only that had her heart where as the rest were just boy toys. Still a bad script though.
No. Looks more like Narcissist.
Beginning of the movie: “Ben Affleck might be killing the men his wife is having affairs with.”
End of the movie: “Yes, Ben Affleck is killing the men his wife is having affairs with.”
Me: “Okay, so what’s the point? That was 2 hours of my life wasted.”
This could be said for like 90% of all movies😂😂
Easily one of the top 3000 best movies of the year. The character development and plot growth were exceeding of ingeniousness, and that ending! The tricycle chasing the pinto through the woods. I was on my feet, heart racing with Affleck's every pedal push. Reminded me of the time I was chasing a cheetah in the African Savanna. Couldn't believe how shocked I was after the credits rolled. Definitely a bucket list movie. Hopefully one day I watch it, but truly one of the most well spent 1h55m of my life. I'll be thinking about this one for a while.

As someone who’s been cheated on, this movie had me pissed off a lot. I was pretty much “triggered” in the legitimate sense of the word the whole time. I often times found myself rooting for Vic to kill the guys. But it was a good movie. A good movie that I will never watch again. Melinda is fucking hot so that was cool
Edit since I’ve gotten a little traction; what the hell was up with those snails by the way???? The way they kept showing Vic with the Snails, you’d think he was going to poison the other guys with them or something, but nothing ever even happened with them??! Instead of Crazy Cat Lady, he’s Crazy Snail Guy wtf

This movie was definitely the textbook example of a toxic relationship.
The good guy dying at the end after almost solving the crime is literally a page out of “YOU”.
I felt like, I wasted my time for this movie! 😪 nothing special.
Married couples tend to torment each other with strange games and other forms of psychopathic behavior in order to keep their marriage interesting and stimulating. But not as strange and dark as Vic and Melinda, with one of them attempting to enrage the other with outrageous forms of public flirtation in order to get a reaction from their partner. The other proving their love with a vengeful force!
The film commences with a mystic and erotic tone that has the added Adrian Lyne sizzling sleazy touch. It has your interest for a while, building up to whatever that something you thought it was going to be. Instead it plunders into a b-grade Lifetime movie style with cheap thrills and no substance. And sometimes I wonder if this was meant to be a very dark comedy.
Whatever it was, is still worth the watch. Psychoanalyze the wonders of marriage, and what most strange folks will do in order to keep that matrimonial contract intact, at whatever crazy cost - even if it means death!
yeah its not as good as the novels
Yes, he has to "prove" his "love" for her by engaging in primordial behavior that involves risking his life, similar to what a male animal would do.

This was good, entertaining viewing for a Friday night at home. You know when the film has an impact on you when you start to despise a character like the selfish, narcissistic and painful female lead. Doesn't take itself too seriously.
It's Friday Night home and I watched it just now!
The acting was fine, especially the daughter. But the writing was just terrible. I hate when adults write for kids and make them speak like they are 22 years old. There is no chance in hell that kid was that smart and intuitive.
Second, there is no chance in hell a bank calls you and tells you about a check that bounced and then gives you who it was written out to, and then say that can waive the fee if you add money to your account They were rich so why would there even being sufficient funds? Never happened. And this is just one example where writers blow it. They don't need to add scenarios that don't happen in real life because it distracts us from what could have been good.
Overall, this film was all over the place and served no real purpose. Besides their relationship never had in basis in reality. There was no rhyme or reason to it and no explanation whatsoever of how they went from seemingly distant to passionate for each other. It was bizarre.
Did she ever wear something besides the black dress?
Good luck trying to figure out what this film is about. It made no sense whatsoever. I guess Lyne wanted to rekindle his 9 1/2 weeks. Just a total lack of focus and very slow-moving and without much of a point this was a total WASTE OF TIME! SKIP!!
lmao I died when he was causally like, "can I have the last name of the person". the pool scene had me chuckle too like damn they are all so oblivious huh, even his token friend haha
I kind of took it as he was giving her an allowance in a separate account and she went over the limit. Not sure why they weren't give the details of the transaction.
It was hard to watch the beginning. I just kept saying leave this bih 🤣🤣🤣
I wish they explained why he doesn't
Wow, that movie was way better than I thought it would be and now I need to discuss!!! Why did either of them do what they did? I feel like it was hinted at a bit but just wanna hear what other people think.
My personal take: Vic is cold, maybe even sociopathic, as he doesn't seem capable of guilt over causing other people's deaths (the whole drone thing). He also doesn't seem to feel anything -- or at least express anything -- unless he's riled up. Melinda on the other hand maybe had a rough upbringing (she mentions getting kicked out of schools) which left her with some issues. She seems to really be bothered that Vic looks down on her for not being as smart/rich as he is, and that he's never passionate with her. This has led her to drown her sorrows in booze and affairs. At some point she realized Vic was insanely jealous re: her affairs, and now she continues these affairs because it 1) makes her feel desired (by whoever she's with) and 2) makes her feel loved (by Vic). So that's why she does what she does.
Why does Vic put up with it? That's a little more complex. I think the easy answer is "because he loves her". But I think it's a little more complex than that. I think he stays with her because he loves her... but also because secretly he also enjoys being able to feel something, even if it's just jealousy and rage.
I also think towards the end, Melinda really thought about leaving Vic because she suspected him of killing her lovers, and because she'd reconnected with Tony, who was the only one of her lovers that she seemed to actually have an emotional connection to. The other two guys were just idiots who were in it because free real estate, but Tony was actually a good guy and they had a history together. I think Vic knew she really liked Tony and that's why he took him out and killed him. Actually I'm not even sure he killed the guy in the pool, or the off-screen guy alluded to in the beginning. Kinda suspicious to have so many coincidences, but it's just not 100% for me.
Finally: I think Vic and Melinda finally had sex near the end because he was feeling like he'd won her for himself (by killing Tony) and therefore was able to express his love for her. Meanwhile I think she did it because she felt like she was about to be free of him, so it was sort of a last hurrah for her. But I think in the act, they each realized they loved the other, and vice versa. So when she found out he'd killed Tony, she decided to cover for him because of that love, twisted as it was. And I think when she mentioned that she'd seen Tony, she was basically telling him she knew... and was okay with it.
So yeah I guess it was a fucked up sort of happy ending! Yay for you guys, you beautiful monsters!
I would also add maybe just maybe he doesn't want to give her half
My natural point of view is Vic was trying to save the family by not having a divorce because of her daughter while Melinda is just trying to get him to divorce her as she doesn't want this "family" life from start
@@jermainelynch6024 😂😂 bro what. He doesn’t have anything to do with money. It’s just some sick twisted game they both get a thrill from.

I would have loved a better wrap up. That would have been perfect 👍
I think they wanted to focus on the psychotic relationship between the two of them, not the issues surrounding.
Yes, they were focusing on the twisted relationship....not the actual killings themselves. We all know that if a wife points the fingers to her husband being responsible for killing her lover, it would be lengthy and not dismissed quite so easily by police (in the real world). The movie wasn't focusing on the background but the relationship only.
In my mind, I concluded that Don would later be framed, if it had come to that. It would make sense. His own wife didn't believe his accusations that Vic was responsible, and actually disgusted by his obsession in trying to prove that Vic was the killer, by hiring a private investigator. He was also present at the parties/get togethers where the lovers were AND was also killed at/near the scene where Tony's body was, and I'm assuming, would be found later on.
Since Vic's wife, Melinda, burned the proof (license and documents) and now is basically an accomplice, it would be easy to frame Don, and dead men can't talk. He was would be the easy scapegoat and I just assumed that would be the route, if this were a movie about crime and not an extremely dysfunctional marriage.
The body would have just decomposed fast...
Moreover it doesn't feels like many people do visit that place
@@tennysonparks2059 but still stupid plot who would drown body on the river which not Even 10 feet
So the last guy wasn't sleeping with vics wife! He was under cover. Vic killed him for himself. Remember vic said I liked him he was actually smart! The poisoned snils was a dead give away. The guy worked as a second private eye. The first murder with gun shots was actually vics crush the black girl. She was about to confess before the dead body in the pool. Ben poisoned him when he met him at the bar after his piano gig vic touched his hand releasing a small doss. That's all that's the real storyline.

Spoiler alert 🚨 I had high hopes for this movie. Good actors, good trailer. But the movie was just…bad. First off why would Ben Affleck tell everyone he murdered someone when he hasn’t even done so yet ? That set the tone that he would murder later where as the trailer makes it seem it could be either him or maybe he’s being framed. Then the snails. So much focus for no reason they had nothing to offer the movie expect that Ben Affleck had a snail fetish and was a weirdo. And then how did Ben Affleck get away with murdering a guy with a whole crowd of people right next to the pool ? How did he not suspect anybody would peek out or be watching from somewhere ? If it was in the heat of the moment maybe he didn’t care but it just seemed incredibly stupid given how intelligent he is and how well he planned out the next murder. And the cops didn’t autopsy the body and find out he was suffocated ? They never questioned Ben again when he was the main suspect and accused by two witness ? So weird. And finally the guy appearing out of nowhere to make the plot interesting. Like why was Don getting the wife’s scarf when Ben Affleck had already told his wife he’d get it ? I thought oh maybe the wife lured him there so Ben would kill him cuz she finally accepted he’s a killer and no longer wants him to go to jail but nope he just literally appeared there to get a scarf for no reason. And then the infamous bike chase ? Like a bike literally caught up to a car ? The guy never bothered to call 911 as any normal person would ? The guy still had compassion and chose to throw his car over a mountain than run over that psycho Ben and his bike ? Lol this is literally directed by Tommy Wisseu cuz ain’t no way someone could do a script this bad lol. The movie had potential and alor of material to cut but ultimately this was a C-.
Blew my fucking mind to know this is the same dude that brought us the cult classic Jacobs Ladder. This movie really tried to pull a Gone Girl and just failed miserably lol
Yea straight up man, great analysis. I was mainly stuck on the character profiles. Vick is supposed to be really smart but he ended up with some dumb attention seeking whore that just keeps disrespecting him and doesn't think to just leave her? And then Melinda's character should have known she would never get along with a smart guy like vick let alone have anything in common with him. Nothing made sense about why those 2 would end up with each other. To top it off, their psychopathic daughter who is non-chalantly okay with her dad being a murderer LOL
"let me struggle to text my wife going 90 mph on this narrow pathway, then bendover to grab the phone. I'm not gonna call her bc that would make way more sense"

In the original novel...Vic strangles her to death just as cops arrive to arrest him.
Love trixie, such a supportive and loyal daughter
This movie reminded me how miserable Ben Affleck made her wife feel on “Gone girl” by cheating on her and on this film he’s the one cheated on, approaching this situation on a very weird and twisted way just like his wife in that movie. It was a good movie (slow like a snail) but good, I just don’t get the ending.
Ben taking on theses kind of films really doesn't help his own relationship but I hope the JLO one lasts
God knows how many plots I could imagine when I started the movie.

Second - Vic or Melinda is schizophrenic and seeing imaginary people around em.
Legends say Ricky didnt die, he woke up, went to a different timeline and went on to become Noah Flynn
Greetings again from the darkness. Based on his work, arguments can be made on both sides. Director Adrian Lyne is either a staunch believer in monogamous marriages, or he enjoys mocking the concept altogether. Surprisingly, this is his first film in 20 years since UNFAITHFUL (2002). To refresh your memory, he's also the force behind 9 ½ WEEKS (1986), FATAL ATTRACTION (1987), and INDECENT PROPOSAL (1993). Co-writers Zach Helm and Sam Levinson have adapted the script from the 1957 novel by Patricia Highsmith, who also wrote "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "Strangers on a Train".
"Do you know I love you?" When one spouse feels the need to ask about love rather than declare it, you know it's an unusual marriage. And in the category of unusual marriages, you'd be hard-pressed to find an arrangement more bizarre than the one between Vic (Ben Affleck) and Melinda (Ana de Armas). Thanks to real life public drama for Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, we all know that "open marriages" are a thing. But this with Vic and Melinda is neither fully "open" nor fully a marriage. Vic invented and sold a computer chip used in drones (mostly for warfare) and he's so rich, that he'd rather watch his free-spirited wife drag home new boy-toys than give her an expensive divorce. But that's as much explanation as we receive for what seems like a lose-lose-lose scenario. That third lose is for Melinda's gentlemen friends who seem to mysteriously disappear once Vic becomes aware of them. One is gone before the movie even starts, and he's followed by Jacob Elordi, Brandan Miller, and Finn Wittrock.
Perhaps the biggest mystery here is in deciding who displays more charisma, Affleck in this role or the snails that his character Vic breeds. We've joked about actors sleepwalking through roles before, but there are scenes here where that may actually be happening. Affleck mostly just dead-eyes Melinda and her men, though we are supposed to interpret his lack of expression as a combination of anger, jealousy, and lust. Fortunately, we have Ana de Armas to liven things up. She's a full-grown party girl going through various stages of designer dress and un-dress. The supporting cast is comprised of Dash Mihok, Lil Rey Howery (who is in every movie these days), Kristen Connolly, Grace Jenkins as the smarter-than-parents kid to Vic and Melinda, and Tracy Letts as a curious novelist constantly side-eyeing Vic as research for a new book.
Is it cheesy? Yes. Is it sleazy? Yes. Despite twenty years of no movies, director Lyne delivers another high-gloss, play-pretend trashy erotic thriller that will fit perfectly in the streaming world. Affleck disappoints here after strong turns in THE TENDER BAR (2021) and THE WAY BACK (2020), and Ms. De Armas will next appear as Marilyn Monroe in BLONDE. Ben and Ana had their tabloid moment as a romantic couple after filming, but she is now the gone girl, and he has since reunited with JoLo. There are too many gaps in the story and characters for this to be considered a serious movie, but it's sure to be entertaining enough for many.
Glad i found this gem of a movie! This one has lots of layers and emotions. Real stuff
This is Psychopath and Narcissist love story. It really bothers me.. it’s a great build up but came up short.
There's not enough plot to keep this nearly 2-hour long erotic thriller going, especially once it lets go of its initial ambiguity. The film is about a husband (Affleck) who's alright with his wife (Ana de Armas) romantically engaging with other men, growing increasingly jealous (and turned on!) by the proceedings. So, the wife Melinda is a hedonist - she lives for instant pleasures. She isn't particularly fond of taking care of their child - or the film rarely shows it. The husband Vic is hazily sketched - he's a retired drone-software guy, he loves threatening his wife's male friends and loves studying snails. His transition from accepting his wife's escapades to becoming a legit threat to the men involved lacks good bite - that's a screenplay problem, not the actor's!
There aren't any scenes where he "loses it" or clarifies what he wants out of this seemingly broken relationship. On the other hand, Melinda is all about looking sexy all the time. And since we're picturing Ana de Armas here, it is an easily achievable tick. I didn't see much in the way of nudity or sexual content here, except for glimpses of "what could've been." Affleck makes for a believable bad guy while also being a doting dad. Armas' character needed better etching because it's tough to lean into her vision here either, though she scorches the screen with her presence. As a result, we get a predictable, somewhat tepid thriller that only partially does its job!
When did afflecks character get turned on?
@@tymacdougall3140 she rubbed up on him and grabbed his cuckodoodle at a party other than that it’s just visions of him imagining sleeping with her or imagining her with other men or one scene where they’re together but it really doesn’t show anything but them licking and kissing each other on the mouth
@@melaniemelanin it seemed that those thoughts of her with other men were more him being jealous and getting pumped for violent acts than turned on
At first I was like...."gone girl?"
Lol well, the movie was odd throughout and ended oddly as well.
I guess that's why it was made that way - to leave audience wondering or tormented and analyzing different and better senerios. Good for them. Love Affleck. I was surprised he did this, but love him regardless. Idky I'm not a big fan of Anna. Someone left a comment aboit her and Affleck wjen they were dating that tainted the way I feel about her. Quite unfortunate.
beginning confused
the middle confused
the ending totally lost,
never ever saw a bad movie like this one,
totally didn't make any sense
Same opinion. What a toxic marriage
@@chilelekoshamane9483 right just divorce her ass or kill her 😅 it wS a totally weird movie,
You need education. Sorry you missed it's brilliance.
@@tennysonparks2059 it's a bad movie, has nothing to do with education 🤣🤣🤣 it has to do with commen sense, it did really have a good story its just about two sick people making each other miserable and the child is in the middle, it's a bad movie,
One of them movies not to take too seriously, entertainment purposes only. Like that other movie De Armas did, "Knock, Knock".
anyone know where i can watch this film? x
I felt so bad seeing him looking at her cheating and yet 0 reaction but later i kinda understood, he loves her so much that he couldnt leave her unlike any other men she been with, yet later i felt sorry for the man that he had to deal with it anyway its really horrible to love someone that much and all you get is negative behaviour disrespect unresponsable and cheating partner she truly dont deserve him.
At the end she decides he is the one forever she burned everything from those other guys.
it reminds me the series movie YOU, such a great plot twist.
My anger issues cant
Where can I watch this movie?
I only finished it to see Ben Affleck. I can't believe it was a Adrian Lyne Movie . The character of his wife was so obnoxious I couldn't stand her. Not the beautiful actress she was great just her character doing that to her husband!
What's so crazy about this is I've been involved with a woman who had a child with a man who also worked with making chips for companies... I hated watching this because she was exactly like this woman, seduced men all around her just wanted to drink and have sex, and she also didn't want to care for her kid just thought about herself..
Know I'm a scumbag but as a simple man it's hard to not be a sucker and get sucked into seduction no matter what may happen. but I also felt in line to Vic fueled by that rage of someone you love yet she's out here doing whatever she want's and brushing it off as nothing. Haven't been with anyone since that incident, felt sick from myself, that woman, and the whole population of people who just plain out suck it's frightening to think you may end up becoming Vic one day.
It was a slow burn, some what triggering for me.. I disliked it but the shots were beautiful and having some attractive actors was just a nice filler to have on which is just some great eye candy, not exactly a good movie but a watchable one maybe good for those who are into this affair type bullshit.
Afleck being weird is so entertaining though
this movie was awesome
Loook awesome
I used this as inspiration to make a killer verse... Killer. Can't wait to record it now.
What happened to this movie on Netflix or Amazon? It’s no longer there.
Did they say Disney's 2022 movie Deep Water?!! Also never have a rooted for the Killer and a movie. She was doing him so dirty and got jealous whenever he danced with somebody while she's over there giving full service. The chase scene at the end with old man and him on the bike I was like please let this man crash this car
Half way through I was convinced that she hadn't slept with any of the men but used the intrigue to rouse a passion that she kept saying Vic lacked. The only images of her transgressions were in the mind of Vic during the killing scenes. I thought she would tell Vic she hadn't really slept with any of them, lied about the bruises he didn't bother to confirm and they really were indeed friends and that the beginning scene when she poignantly says "I really do love you" was to be foreshadowing. The murders would confirm his passion she would have excitement and he would have his faithful wife. Too bad that's not how it really played out.🤷♂️ I think it would have been better that way.
Moral story don’t mess with married women or people’s girlfriends 😂🤷🏾♂️
Gosh I hope jlo didnt waste an afternoon sneaking away to watch this.
She'd be jealous as hell if she did. Ana looks young enough to be her daughter, maybe even granddaughter. 🤣
Hulu and Amazon prime video cut the og running time it was supposed to be 2h33 they cut 45 minutes of the movie into a 1h56 if they released a director cut whit the og runtime it can be great
Where can I find the full length movie?
@@tennysonparks2059 they don't exist yet but I wish hulu or prime announced this one day I taped this on Google and the running time is 2h33
Not my type of a movie. Open relationships are fucked up.
This movie gave me all sorts of high blood pressure and anxiety 😥
I think Joe Goldberg has a brother.
No, Joe Goldberg would’ve taken out his wife for humiliating him and chasing other men 😂
Gone girl is a much better movie.
The trailer for Deepwater was amazing and made me really want to check the movie. Perhaps was I expecting too much. I was waiting for something like a twist but there’s none. The end credits rolled out and I was like: « Well, I guess it was just Ben Affleck killing some guys, eventually making his wife happier. » Weiiiiiird movie !
Nah he killed the first guy who was found dead too. He just lied about how.
The only question I have is - why the snails?
For the poison to kill her lovers.
This movie had a Mother! vibe to it
what an amazing movie . i love it
I may be wrong but from what i can tell after the first murder she realized on some level that he was responsible which is why she kept doing it until fully accepting it at the end. He's a killer, we dont know if she drove him to it, but hes a multiple murderer and clearly likes it to some extent. She likes thrills especially romantic/sexual ones and theres nothing more thrilling than being married to and even aiding an active serial killer. This sort of dynamic is actually pretty commonish in storytelling. Theyre both evil people who deserve prisontime
When a man loves you with all of his heart, he couldn't accept anybody near you and can do anything not to loose you.
This is the dark side of the love.
Can anyone explain me why the beggining is so similar to the ending but also different ? What does it mean ? It felt like they already experienced it, but it wouldn’t make sense
He's been killing her dudes for a long time, and she's known it. It's almost like there is bait for them to get to kill together.
One of my love story fav movie
Didn’t know it needed an explanation. It is as obvious as it comes.
i was expected something better
I just finished this movie and I’d have to say the acting was good but the movie fell a little short. I really thought he’d get caught or at the very least have a stronger climax ending, the child did a super good job, I’d say she stole the show for the little bit of screen time she got. I’m shocked no one thought he killed the guy in the pool except 1 person like come on guys that man is obviously athletic enough to not drown. 2 lout of 5 for me
Tbh i thought they would they would develop vic…i mean he knows deep inside that who ever he kills she will find another guy to have affair with they both are being toxic and hurting each other the only bond they have is that one is trying to impress the other with their weird behaviors
Okayy but after watching this it makes slightly more since🤣🎯 lol
In the Amazon version movie, there is no car sex scene.
The real crimes committed in the film was letting the daughter listen to disco
This movie was insane man. If I had a wife like that who was so disrespectful and unfaithful not only would the men she was cheating on me with would be slayed but so would she. That is beyond crazy love ain't that much love in the world for no woman don't care how beautiful she is. I give the actors in the film 4 stars and the movie I give 4 and a half stars.
In the actual novel...He strangles her to death just as cops arrive to arrest him for the murders.
@@vivek27789 for real? Damn I gotta read the novel.
@@mrwalker293 Original novel was written by Patricia Highsmith in 1950's.
@@vivek27789 ok. Thanks for the info.
The movie was good until she was like you’re the only man who will stay with me. He fucking killed the others ! Maybe that was to show she was insane. But especially the WALLET ruined the movie. The DIRECTOR got so fucking lazy!
I think maybe in all of her prior relationships, the men left her, or even after just used her. And the wallet, was supposed to be found, bc that was like her acceptance…in a strange way.
the lesson for this story is don’t type text while driving and don’t on auto correct on your phone
I absolutely found this movie vile. Well acted and nicely shot but vile. I find constant adultery so annoying and disgusting. If that’s what keeps a marriage alive, that marriage is long dead. It’s a toxic relationship.
I was really hoping for some twist🙂never mind
TLDR.
The wife gets the hots for him and realizes his devotion and strength by killing all the people that threatened their magic, proving hes the strongest.
So she ends up liking it instead of hating him at the end and wanting to rekindle their marriage.
pretty simple, didn't need 5 mins.
In my theory, it's about two psychopath making reasons to kill someone.
I thought this was absolutely hilarious. Ben affleck is brilliant!
I really enjoyed the various interactions between the friends, aquatints and various lovers - maybe it's a bit gorwn up for the marvel generation who seem to think it's slow and boring! Grow up people! Maybe you need to get away from the screen and get some face time with people IRL!
This was very enjoyable and, as I say, I found affleck to be on great form delivering some absolute zingers! This is up there with his gone girl performance.
Overall I guess it won't win any Oscar's but so what. Many of that films that do are forgotten quickly. This is pulpy fun with an a list cast.
Because the black girl killed the first boyfriend. She was about to tell vic before the dead body was found in the pool. Now vic poisonous by skin touch. I think at the bar were that guybgave lessons. The last murder wasn't for his wife vic killed him because that guy was a private investigator.... vic new after the poison remark that that guy was definitely not fucking his wife in fact she made the whole thing up!
Honestly lowkey all the guy do deserve the punishment they got , except the one kill in car accident.
Melinda do deserve the punishment too
Sounds like Unfaithful -2002, also by Adrian Lyne.. that if Richard Gere killed 3 of his wife's lovers instead of just one.
For those of you disappointed; Afflecks character is an INTJ (probably). This changed the way I saw this movie.
