It's pronounced "Mou (like in count or mouse) nah Kay ah. Stress is on first syllable of each word. This video made me cry. We moved here to Pittsburgh from Hawaii & I miss it so much. My beloved husband was laid to rest there & I miss him, too. We were on Oahu, not the big Island, but Hawaii is Hawaii. The state has a charm unlike any other state, no matter which island one's on. I hope y'all have a wonderful trip. And since you're on the big Island, you MUST go to the beach with the black sand beach!

That was interesting, it's such an iconic hotel with it's beautiful location. There's nothing like that drive down the entrance road with the deep blue of the Pacific in the distance. I've never stayed there, but have had meals at the Copper Bar and years ago they had a very famous Sunday ? breakfast brunch that was very popular with locals. A friend of mine told of having breakfast and seeing Alfred Hitchcock. Anyway, it's nice to see the room interiors, and I hope you enjoy your stay and the great art collection.

Mauna Kea resort is the best, golfing here is fun. The view from the third hole is spectacular. We have been coming here for years. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. ❤️❤️❤️

I love l'occitane products...they have their own store in Disney Springs...Four Seasons usually uses that brand of soap as well. Never been to this resort...looks nice. We usually go to Kauai and stay in Poipi Beach or go to Ko Olina on Oahu. Hope you have a fabulous trip.

Yikes the $$ in Hawaii are no joke! Hope you had a great time! Also the flimsy curtain in the bathroom and the little balcony are odd to me but it would be great to hear the waves from the beach while showering.

Any reason for picking the Mauna Kea over the Westin next door?? We’ve debated between the two but Westin seems to have better amenities and Food for a better price.
Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much h, Steve S.
that hotel looks a bit dated are the brady’s staying there? also those prices are ridiculous, worse than Disney
It's a fully renovated hotel. If you've been to Hawaii you would have known that there are very few newly constructed hotels.
It’s fully renovated and one of the premier properties on the island. The design is vintage 1970 hip , not outdated 😊
