Love your floss tube. Always makes me laugh. I enjoy seeing the fun things you are working on and was fun to see all the fun things you got at market. One thing that I enjoy stitching is teddy bears. I have many stuffed teddy bears in a collection. I also enjoy doing alphabets.

When I was growing up, I had similar stories about my dad's cooking. On the rare occasions, my mom was in the hospital, Dad "cooked" by getting takeout pizza or Chinese. Of course, we kids loved it. Years later, when my mom had breast cancer and we all had families of our own, my dad tried hard to make meals for her. He did start out with Stouffer's lasagna but got better with meal prep. He took care of her.
I stitch a lot of houses and shops. However, iI am fond of animals and birds also.
I love stitching animals, bugs,trees etc. I'm not really into houses unless they're spooky ones lol😂 Great video and love the quilt.

Sorry, Jen, I’m not part of the FFO Challenge. I don’t yet have enough FO’s to make into FFO’s, lol!! I just enjoy watching your videos and seeing what’s happening in your lives. I just love stitching. And oddly enough I don’t mind stitching all white or all black, either!! So happy Market was a much better experience for you both this year! Have fun in Chicago with your Princess, and see you ladies when you get back!!

Once again thank you for sharing your stitchy goodness. I'm in the quilting phase of my crafting. But enjoy all the new patterns coming out. It's hard to pick out just one motif, I enjoy all, but do tend to do more flowers and buildings. I had a great laugh hearing about the food failures. When I was little my mother had to go back east for her father's funeral and my sister was in charge of the cooking. She was into her experimentation phase at that time and made a tapioca pudding with green kool-aid for desert that was so hideous that the dogs wouldn't even eat it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤

So wonderful to watch another video from you ladies. Carol, the quilt is beautiful, I love it! :) Market sounds like a blast, but yes, I can only imagine how exhausting it is. I'm sure the vendors need a week of naps after all is said and done! I love what you are stitching for your shop and all the great haul you came home with, lots of beautiful things. I stitch a lot of Christmas...so if Santa is a motif??? If he isn't considered a motif, then I guess words, houses, flowers. Thanks for your video, always so much to see!
Love the quilt behind you. I have made a disappearing 9 patch, but I like the look of the 4 patch a lot too! You are 2 busy bees and will be more so as the next weeks come. Great wips and haul! Love the title of this video in fact😂. I have to say that I don’t think I have a favorite thing to stitch. I pick anything as long as I fall in love with it…and by my stash, that’s a lot! Carol, thanks for the info on the bead container. I had not seen that before. I found a bead sticky mat in Michaels that will work great for my mill hill Christmas projects. Love your videos. You two are so cute together.
I know market is work but how fortunate you are to see all those new patterns and models. You both made great choices. I put a couple more charts on my wish list. Favorite motifs? I like a wide variety but probably have more bird patterns than anything. Be careful on all your travels and I’ll see you in a month.
My favorite motif would have to be insects or wagons, and maybe insects riding wagons.

I think I like to stitch birds the most right now, all birds any birds. I recently finished The Red Bird Sampler it was fairly small and really fun to stitch. Take care!
I'd go with the darker blue in 28-ct for that pattern going into the tree frame. I like to stitch a bit of lettering, see it form the word, enjoy florals, and even though I live in the desert southwest (AZ) I like to stitch snowmen (originally from the Northeast). Maybe next video we can answer what motifs we Don't like to stitch, lol.
Letters! I want to coffee/tea dye some fabric and then plan to start ABC Hornbook by Primitive Needle.
I really do not have a favorite Motif, but if I had to choose one it would be a house.
Funny enough, as I’m watching you I’m stitching on Quaker’s Hometown by Werkstatt fur historiche Stickmuster, and it features letters, houses and Quakers. I love letters, but the win goes to the Quakers.
I love to stitch buildings and houses with Nancy Spruance being my favorite designer.
I tend to stitch a lot of flowers and animals.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a brick and mortar. Calico Cat was a most wonderful shop here in the Tampa Bay area and they had 3 locations. One of which was dangerously close (less than 5 miles.) It was a beautiful gift shop for collectibles but also had a cross stitch/needlework space and the customer service was fabulous. D. Morgan used to come and sign prints and she is a lovely artist❤ I really miss going there...
On P.S. #47, modes of Santa's transportation but no canoe, (not 54) which I love and want to stitch every single one.

Jen, I really loved hearing how you have carved out and prioritized so much time for stitching! I agree with so much of what you said… From training your kids to be self-sufficient to having a house cleaner, because that is important to you. When I was younger, I raised my three sons to be able to do their own laundry, to cook, And even to mend their clothes. One of them loved sewing and he even made his own elasticized shorts for the summer. Today, even though my husband and I live totally on our Social Security, we have a housekeeper to clean our house. I kept in immaculate house while my kids were growing up and until I got into my 70s, but I feel that I deserve the time now, and I’m lucky that my husband agrees. We budget money for a house cleaner every month. In addition, my husband has offered to do all of the dishes and I do the cooking. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I loved hearing about that from you today.

What a great time you had at market! I've made a disappearing 4--patch and a disappearing 9-patch; they're fun to do. I confess though, while I admire Dresdens, I don't want to make one! LOL!
As far as motifs -- I'm fond of the geometric -- which includes Quaker motifs -- especially Modern Folk Embroidery and Carolyn Manning Designs, but not exclusively. Not fond of houses -- though I've done them here and there. And like you, Carol, I enjoy alphabets and numerals.
I like to stitch hearts, but I'm not great at doing it, rather collecting patterns. Have a great time in Chicago!

I love alphabets and words to stitch. Although I love snowmen and winter scenes I dislike stitching them the most - white and I just don’t get along unfortunately yet I probably have the most patterns in my library with snowmen or winter themes which is why they remain not checked out to work on.

As I am sitting here stitching a basket while I'm watching you, I decided that baskets are my favorite things to stitch. Usually they are symmetrical, and have a pattern. (The one I'm stitching is on "Spring Chickens" by Stacy Nash and holds eggs.}.
My motif is trees.
Isn't Counting Puddles amazing ? I have the lemonade picnic pattern (Sweet Summertime) and I will start it soon. It's the perfect summer stitch! Birds - I'm a sucker for any bird.
My boys say their dad is the only person that can mess up Hamburger Helper so bad the dog want even eat it. 😅😅

I love the quilt! No, Santa in the canoe is not in Book 47. I just finished these, and when I saw Jenna stitched the Santa in the canoe I went on a deep dive looking for the pattern. No luck. Love watching you ladies.

I love to stitch animals (mostly birds) and I dislike stitching houses (I know it a lot of people's favorite)
I don’t know that I’ve ever paid attention to what kind of motif I stitch the most. Looking at my stash of patterns, I CLEARLY purchase a lot of patterns with sheep (great reminders of how lost/befuddled I can get without Jesus), but I don’t know that I’ve stitched many! Most of my finishes recently have been Stitching with the Housewives, so I would say small cutesy?
I don’t know if someone already answered; the PS canoe Santa was a free chart that came out as a promo for the chart. It is not in the chart. And as far as I know is not currently in print. The packs of small, one time free promo, charts is something PS did later.

Just redone my craft room, more quilt friendly. I plan on quilting each person in my immediate family. Then I will move on to my siblings. So I have decided not to buy anything cross stitch or knitting related. I have a lot of that. I have a lot of material too but that is what I am concentrating on for now.

It is a split four patch - we will look for a link to share on our next video. And the one behind us is a large lap quilt. If you use 2 charm packs, you wind up with a nice size lap or wall quilt.
