Actually if you look closely there is a second needle on the rev dial which is red and placed between 8 and 9 designating that this is where the redline of the motor is, up at around 8600rpm. It would be funny to watch you and your amazing eyes attempt to rev this beast past that, just to see that dumbfounded look in those amazing eyes of yours as the fuel cut off (or ignition cut off) kicks in and the needle just starts bouncing off of 8600, this guy was driving the car absolutely perfect putting on an awesome display of all that this car has to offer, dont be so quick to assume things about stuff you dont know anything about and then falsely criticize someone for no reason, come on where da love at bruh
the engine sound is the best music! love the car. the Tach on the side tells you how high that engine can run. much higher than regular street engines.
@Thursday377. Thanks buddy! I was afraid I was gonna be trolled the heck out of!! S20's are twin cam engines and L20's are single cam. None the less...these engines have a beautiful sound. Easily mistaken from a Ferrari from its period! Love that sound!!!
Man! that is one SOLID 1971 Nissan Skyline GTR KPGC10 Naturally Aspirated Straight 6 power to the rear wheels no Electronic BS's! no sequential gearbox
ive heard a lot of engine sounds in my day fours sixes and eights but the nissan s20 is one of sweetest sounding engines ive ever heard i should put one under the hood of my 240 zed
Mr. Sakurai, who developed the Hakosuka GT-R, says: Nissan works driver Motoharu Kurosawa, who holds the record for the most wins at Hakosuka, is a precision machine that money can't buy. He is a precision machine that delivers exactly the time set during development and testing.
JUST INCREDIBLE! Gotta love that s20 Nissan 2L inline 6 at 9k! Does anyone know if there's in car footage of Shinohara's No. 39 racing car with the max effort race Nissan S20 engine with 261bhp and 12,000 rpm redline?
Just imagine what's going on inside that engine. Amazing. At 6,000rpm, each piston is going up and down 100 times a second. Holy shit. And a S20 from a Honda S2000 makes 9,500rpm from the factory (but doesn't sound anywhere near as good as this).
That's because the f20c only has 4 cylinders compared to the 6 of the s20. That means we have 6 smaller combustions per rev compared to 4 larger ones, resulting in finer sound. Also the straight six configuration have an even firing sequence, so the impulse of the exhaust are evenly spaced out as they travel thru the exhaust pipes. To bad only BMW manufactures straight sixes nowadays. But I heard Jaguar and MBenz will produce them again, but still out of my prize range :(.
I believe it's Fuji Speedway. There's another video which looks like this exact same car on Fuji Speedway, and the track in that looks the same. It's also a legendary track for hakosukas, so it'd make sense.
It's a Ford Falcon from Turismo Carretera. In the 2nd lap broke the 5th gear and keep with the 4th gear and the Rpm's are over the 10.000. Amazing engine and incredible sound.
Mate that fuckin rev counter is MASSIVE. That guy must have SHIT for eyes
hahahah funny

That engine sound is nothing but amazing!!! Question: Is the engine a S20 or L20?
s20
S20 I believe because I don’t think a L20 can rev that high without like dual over head came
