- Diane Rwigara, a vehement critic of Rwanda's iron-fisted President Paul Kagame, announced Wednesday she planned to run against him in this year's elections. Rwanda, which has been de facto ruled by Kagame since the end of the 1994 genocide, is due to hold both presidential and parliamentary polls on July 15. FRANCE 24's Clément di Roma reports.

It's obvious that the western media don't understand Rwanda. If an opposing candidate gets 0.1 votes in the election that's close to 15,000 people. With Kagame's all terms that won't be ignored, the government will give you responsibilities and a chance to help as much as possible.
You can't win in this country if you want to destroy the unity. You want to help the country you will get a chance to improve what needs to be done.
