    Subscribe Yo! Well I started my how to videos and figured I'd start with the basics of basics. If you want to request a how to video, leave it in the comments below, but I'm only going to do tricks that I actually know how to do thoroughly! Honestly, I was thinking my next one would be a 360 double flip. Let me know what you think! Sunglasses are handy!

    • @diaboloboy12
      @diaboloboy12 Před 8 lety +5

      another tip to ollie higher : try to jump higher than your board , might slund ridiculous but the board will follow your feet and lift as high as you waist

    • @kyle19421
      @kyle19421 Před 8 lety +1

      +Doby Bournillat +Brock Leonard Just started skating/trying to ollie, which foot do you jump off of, both of them, or just your back foot? No one ever mentions it in their videos

    • @jamescridland4663
      @jamescridland4663 Před 8 lety +1

      +Kyle Holzinger back foot, if u do it with your front one it'll push it down and get rid of the pop

    • @kyle19421
      @kyle19421 Před 8 lety

      James Cridland Kinda what I figured haha, so you have to jump off of your back foot before your board pops off the ground?

    • @jamescridland4663
      @jamescridland4663 Před 8 lety +2

      Kyle Holzinger either slightly before, or at exactly the same time as it pops, this will give more height but is harder to do

    My young son is just starting to learn to skateboard, and for a father that never did this, these videos are invaluable. I really like Andy's positive attitude, patience and continuos reminder to practice, practice and practice and it WILL come. As we all know often children will not listen to their parents because they are not the "experts" or cool person, but when someone like Andy combines his expertise and words of wisdom it is HIGHLY influential. Thanks, Andy, for making me look "partially" like a cool parent ;-)!

    Omg I was looking through your channel and I saw this and remembered that this was the video that really helped me. After watching this and practicing for a few hours in the yard I was able to Ollie pretty high. I gave up skating a month later because there's no where to skate and no one to skate with. Still have my screaming hand board 3 years later, might go out for a skate this afternoon.

    Andrew you are a good teacher. I watched your video on pop shove it and almost landed it on 3rd try (just kicked the board a bit too hard, hit inside ankle of front foot but rear landed on board). And you are right with what happens when first trying to ollie. Tried like 20 times got off the ground twice but got away like you showed. Then all the rest were like what you showed pop and no air. Please keep the vids coming. 31 year old and new skateboarder thanks to youtube getting me psyched.
