Not only the best on Van Life Builds but these are some of the best How-To videos I've seen on any subject. Right to the point & all the detail you need. I like the second method. Easy to install, and doesn't require putting velcro on your interior trim. I would use two pieces of coroplast, sandwiching the screen between them, so the glue doesn't show on the inside. As long as the fit is good, that should keep the mosquitoes out of my van quite well. Ty so much! I just bought my Van and there is so much to consider! I thought I was making a mistake buying it now because I fell in love w one I randomly saw on a car lot when I was 'just looking', because I actually have 1-2 more yrs of full time wkg B4 I can semi retire and have the$ and time to really move my life into this nomad style of living. But now that I have my actual Van I see that it is good timing bcuz even tho I can only camp a couple nights here and there, I have time to choose all the things for life on the road and there is so much, from the bed style to the flooring etc,etc! You have saved me from having to re invent the wheel and enabled me to stay minimal as well, which is very important in such a small space!

We are almost done with our van conversion, (the window coverings, cabinets,floor, bed, cushions, and table are complete!). Now just working on the extras: screens, roof storage, shower, and eventually solar. It has been a fun project planning, sewing, shopping, and learning and using the electrical tools with my husband! Still need to plan that maiden trip! We are in California.

I have been camping in my Kia Soul here in the U.S. for a couple of months now, and hope to buy a little something in Ireland to keep doing it there too. Between car camping and bike touring I'm going to have a hard time ever paying for another hotel room. :)

I started in a '67 Chevy G-10' 10 ft from bumper to bumper engine between the front seats. (Ugh) It got me to California...barely. I made it to the Pacific, then the engine died.

Hi Eric, I converted a 2005 Honda Odyssey using your ideas BUT I had a couple major difficulties. First I am 80 years old and secondly I live in a small apartment on the 15th floor of a seniors complex in Victoria. BC and had no access to a garage, so I did all my work with the van parked in the street. It was not easy and the end result is not as neat as I would like to have it but it really works thanks to your ideas. Come and see me sometime when you are in the neighborhood.
I'm watching from the USA and I love the coroplast idea though all are great. I've been trying to sort out a more stealth way to provide air but keep bugs out and this will save me interior damage. Thank you!

Hi Eric. Thanks so much for all your practical videos on van conversions. I recently bought a Fiat Doblo Cargo Van to go stealth. And in preparation of converting it, I am watching many videos. I must say that so far, your videos are the most useful and honest, as you are clear about the money that is needed for all the materials. I also find it very useful that you provide tips on why a certain technique or material either should or shouldn't be used. This is very helpful to me. I am watching your videos at my home in The Netherlands. I live very near Schiphol Airport. I prefer driving to flying, because it gives me more time to take in the scenery and I am not confined to anyone else's timetable. Also, I can take my dog with me without it having to stay in a bagagearea. I simply cannot put it through that kind of misery. I am looking forward to make a real start with my van conversion. I will try to remind myself to videotape my own conversion. So you might see some of my handy work in the future and recognize the application of some of your tips and tricks. I absolutely value your content and invaluable research and development. Constructive criticism with all due respect, you should write out some items. I was at Home Depot asking where the “cogoplas” was and by the third associate looking at me crazy I realized it was corrugated plastic🤣🥴. I’ve successfully removed my seats and made my window coverings. Now on to the next step my floor.

Hi Eric. Thanks so much for all your practical videos on van conversions. I recently bought a Fiat Doblo Cargo Van to go stealth. And in preparation of converting it, I am watching many videos. I must say that so far, your videos are the most useful and honest, as you are clear about the money that is needed for all the materials. I also find it very useful that you provide tips on why a certain technique or material either should or shouldn't be used. This is very helpful to me.
I am watching your videos at my home in The Netherlands. I live very near Schiphol Airport. I prefer driving to flying, because it gives me more time to take in the scenery and I am not confined to anyone else's timetable. Also, I can take my dog with me without it having to stay in a bagagearea. I simply cannot put it through that kind of misery.
I am looking forward to make a real start with my van conversion. I will try to remind myself to videotape my own conversion. So you might see some of my handy work in the future and recognize the application of some of your tips and tricks.

I absolutely value your content and invaluable research and development. Constructive criticism with all due respect, you should write out some items. I was at Home Depot asking where the “cogoplas” was and by the third associate looking at me crazy I realized it was corrugated plastic🤣🥴. I’ve successfully removed my seats and made my window coverings. Now on to the next step my floor.
