My wife was mad and going off. For some reason (and out of the blue) this sketch popped into my mind and I started laughing. I pulled up this vid and said "this is what you remind me of." After she saw it, she started to laugh too.
That would stink. My parents would get annoyed if I get upset and cry at my age but it can't be helped. I came from a Italian background and all my emotions would be seen. And I agree that having kids' bottle their emotions and feelings up isn't healthy either.
Man...I feel the same way the goat feels whenever private freaking numbers call me up and how certain people try to interfere in my life! I get so agitated man I GET MAD! I GET MAD! I GET MAD! I get really MAD! Plus menopause and hormones don't help! MAD! MAD! MAD! I love that freaking goat! We are definitely a good team!
Fun fact: The Goat and the characters were first appeared in a 6 minute animation from 1964 called "I know an old Lady who swallowed a Fly" Directed by Derek Lamb. He even written this song in this video.
Yeah like the goat is teaching kids too in this song. It's okay to be mad, but don't hit back! Just tell people what makes you mad and it will make you better as the goat shows mostly with the smile and wink and the end of every verse. :D
😂😂😂😂😂OMG this used to be my favorite as a kid and I'm 34 now... I just laughed SOOOOO Hard and showed my kids ages 16,14,5 & they thought it was hilarious... THANKS FOR POSTING 👍
Even though the pig did let him down, he didn't make him angry on purpose because he just forgot to bring the goat ice cream. Still the ice cream falling splat on his head always cracked me up!
Reminds me of Mister (Fred) Rogers' song "What Do You Do With The Mad That You Feel?" It's good to be reminded, even as an adult, that emotions expressed healthily is totally okay, even the ones we'd call "negative".
I was born in 1973 and I think this skit was a very good one back in the day and the pig especially got his karma at the end when the goat got mad and the ice cream spilled all over the pigs head. I always believed it was never bad to get mad. In fact bottling emotions up to the point of exploding is the worst thing ever. I also like how the duck got so shocked by the goats anger that it laid an egg on the spot!!!
Morgan Freeman who played the character “Easy Reader” on the show “Electric Company” actually taught me how to read, at a college grade level, no less, underneath my family’s nose. Here I was, a scrawny pasty white little boy, who thought he was the COOLEST mother fucker around! TRUTH!! Sunglasses, Jean Jacket, and Bell Bottom Levi’s and big ole Afro, . I wanted to be like like him so bad. Yep! I’m. A white boy!! But I love people of all different races.
The pig is portrayed as greedy - that is preoccupied with food/eating even to the point of not caring about his friend's feelings. Note how he continues merrily chomping on the ice cream even as the goat is upset.
The goat's friends are a bunch of dicks.
+pdchr that was not very nice
They didn't do it on purpose.
Aren’t they though

Dude Im right there with you theres no idea or new thought under the sun I love you
Also 72, loved this.
@@NoW_Is_TimE I love you too :)
This goat used to scare me as a kid. Now, as an adult, I find him so relatable.
The goat’s facial expressions - especially the shock at his mistreatments - always crack me up
"It ain't bad to get mad" very good lesson.
so does my grandmother.
So that's what they're saying. I've wondered for a long time. I thought it was, " Anybody'd get mad."
My older brother used to sing this to me after seeing me watch it as a kid and he still sing it till this day and I'm 45 now. He's 8 years older. Lol
I'm a year younger than you my man.
My mother has been singing this for over 25 years and I finally decided to search for it lol
😂😂😂😂😂
A memory I know all too well
For 25 years I thought he said "I am m-aaaaaad" 😂
Same! 💀
This is a genuinely good lesson for children. I grew up in a household where emotions of any kind were not really acceptable.

@@trandom2083 That was their "Golden Age." :) :)

Same. I feel validated by this little guy.
I don't know why I remember this as a kid but this skit is hilarious
If a duck came up to me and made that noise, I'd think it was pretty fucking hilarious.
Terry I thnx a lot your comment made the duck part of this timeless classic even more funny
(I'm gonna make a pun) You mean pretty DUCKING hilarious!
The cartoon reminds us as kids not to bottle our emotions.

Quite right it ain't bad to get mad. It's what you do with that mad that can be good or bad.

I remember this in the 70s when I was a child I showed it to my grand daughter she likes it too lol
Yas! I still sing this to this day
This video brings up so much memories from childhood. Good stuff.
It’s okay to express anger in ways that don’t hurt yourself or anybody else 🙂❤️
This was buried deep in my memory, we would sing this when ever one my siblings would have a temper tantrum.
Totally. .Sent this to my sister. . (We often would say this to be funny)
I LOVE THIS GOAT
HiddenRoad Studios mr mr rodgers
Goat, I remembered to bring you ice cream
Saw this when I was a kid. I remember it anytime time someone brings up the whole "hate" thing that's popular these days.
When I got my period I get mad, I get mad, I get mad (aka PMS).
LOL
Lol!!!

Classic classic classic takes me back
Wow! Thanks for posting. I've been trying to sing bits n pieces of this for the last 39 yrs to my son. Now I can prove Fred is real!!! 🐐🐏😲
Still has a wonderful, funny charm some 45 years later.
"forgot to bring one for you . ." (snort!!)
My son who has anger problems says that he is this goat.
The other animals learn what gets the goat's goat...
When I was younger ....funniest thing ever....
The bird's face when the goat spazzes out on him. 0:44...LOL!!!!
GOAT= Grumpiest Of All Time
With friends like these who needs enemies. I think the pig was the worse 😂

I like the duck noise.

Zionna Edwards Word.
With everything that's going on in the world today, this little diddy came to mind. 🐐 😆
OMG I haven't seen that since I was Young. Its as funny now as it was then. LOL Thanks for posting it
Back when you were taught it was normal to have an emotion like anger.
The goat needs a sedative, lol
Lorazepam!
Thought I'd never see this again.LOL!!!!

One of my favorite sketches from Sesame Street. The classic Sesame Street was way more funny.
Why do I relate to this so much?
"And in the end, most folks are glad to find out what makes him mad."
So they don't do the things that make him mad. I think that's the lesson here.
I always loved this😂😂😂😂
If someone tries to stick a neddle in my arm, I get mad
Wow this was a blast from the past 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It ain't bad to get mad!
Two seperate cases of assult. I think the goat should press charges. This clip could be used as evidence. That duck is a dancin' fool :)
wow

Mike Stearns gets mad!
I used to sing this song alot.
lol, I like the description ;-)
If it were me, I would have told the pig, "Don't worry, I will go buy my own ice cream."
Then I'd come back and shove it in the pig's face... _then_ we'll see who gets m-a-a-a-a-a-d, and who gets the l-a-a-a-a-s-t l-a-a-a-a-a-u-g-h!!
Heeey! I remember this!😊
Fantastic
This is so funny 😂😂
Why did they make the pig the greedy friend? Stereotyping.
+Erline Andrews Because pigs are greedy animals? I didn't think the pig was greedy, just forgetful.
The pig wasn't greedy. He just forgot. If he was greedy, he'd buy two but eat them both.
The pig is portrayed as greedy - that is preoccupied with food/eating even to the point of not caring about his friend's feelings. Note how he continues merrily chomping on the ice cream even as the goat is upset.
