- During the Winter 2010 session of the Young Actors' Theater Camp, Darren Criss came to teach a master class and sing a few songs.
This is Darren Criss singing Back to Hogwarts from A Very Potter Musical while accompanying himself on guitar.

The way he starts off - "This is gonna be so hard...I can't believe I'm doing this" lol Darren's so humble. It's okay to forget the lyrics - it's a looooonng song, and they weren't all his lyrics in the first place anyway! I'm amazed that he could play through the whole thing on guitar. I would've been forgetting chords all over the place!

Well, yes, I guess in that sense they are his lyrics. I meant that he didn't sing them all in the show. I should have said they weren't all Harry's lyrics!

i know ive tried learning the other parts, and trying to do only Ron or Harry's or Hermione's part, so it's no surprise the audience harmonized because it's good to know the other parts. love how Darren ends up not doing his part for the chorus though. he actually had the harmony. but can't blame him, it's been so long

With him forgetting some of the lyrics, in his defense, it is a really long song with a lot of stuff going on during it. Also, since it is a group song, he can't be penelized for not knowing everyone else's lines. With that being said, he totally rocked this song out of the park, straight into pigfarts! This little, dorky fanboy is totally awesome! :)

I love being able to see Darren looking so happy while he sings his Going Back to Hogwarts song. He sings more from his Harry Potter Musical and the audience knows all the words & sings with him. You can tell this makes Darren ever more happy. ♡ He's such a sweetheart.

Darren always messes up, that's kinda his thing. Mostly in this song, because it's 7 minutes long and has lots of lyrics with the same melody. He usually sings it with the starkids, it must be hard doing the whole song by himself. Don't be so hard on him.

We haven't announce the master class teachers for our upcoming camp. But it is never too late to sign up, we would love for you to join! I will release a video once we announce the teachers...there's always a strong possibility it'll be someone from Glee =] but that being said, I have no idea who the teachers are.

You know that in the musical Cho Chang is atually caucasian and Lavender Brown is asian? Don't know if that changes anything, but they did make a joke about asian stereotypes during the dialog in between the singing :P
