I can't even begin to understand how they somehow found ways to hit every sound in that song. It was like I was watching the music being painted right in front of me.

IMO, from a pure choreography perspective, this was better than brotherhood.

I agree, although choreography is subjective I liked this better. I still think brotherhood deserved first though because of the theme, story telling, and uniformity. on the technical side they were both pretty high up there so I think its the creative portion that gave brotherhood the upper hand
I mean, I think crowd appeal was something as well.
Can you imagine when Chris starts teaching his choreo, his team members think they've seen the most ridiculous thing he can do, and then he pulls something out like the butt spin? lol
Their unique taste for music and their clean formations never ceases to amuse the audience. They always bring the hype even if the song is smooth
Its always so cool watching the rookies in the group keep up with all of the veterans. & the breakdown at 3:26 was so sick!!

tomdizzo I'm sure it was a very hard decison, Brotherhood was very good as well, but I think what got them first was the concept
Even after so many years, this never fails to give that specific feels.
Butt spin and butt pause was my great moment,,haha,,all in all this piece was an approach that i dint see it coming but most importantly is the fact that you guys were having fun and thats what made me enjoy the dance much more...cant wait for more,my crew will enjoy watching this piece
I have watched this about every month since 2017. It brings me so much joy and I really hope to master a least part of this dance one day.

After keone and Maris leave from cookies they have been finding their new voice and I think they just found it here . I'm curios to see what they do with it in the future . Should have been first though , No gimmicks or themes . Just raw dancing at a very high level .

nalinski du I know why crews do it ( for the entertainment value and it's " fun " suppose ) , but it can get old quick doing the viral Internet dances for cheers , especially when choreographers are skilled/talented enough they don't need it . Glad choreo cookies sticking to their guns and doin their own thing . They didn't get first but guaranteed we will be watching this video again years in the future and the performance will still hold up .

I love the Brotherhood but Chris Martin parts sold everything how did they get 2nd Place is it just because they dance to one song?
they don't have much choreography in it. The only good part of this dance was when they were dancing and spinning on their butt
BrapBrap Um, I don't think so. Crowd hype doesn't correlate to "good" in choreography. Both brotherhood and choreo cookies have their own unique details to their pieces. The details that brotherhood puts into their props and climactic timing, is along the lines of what cookies put into diversifying their choreography percussively, in layers and levels, as well as formations. I love both teams. Both appropriated previous ideas and made it into their own. Cookies couldn't land second place with just the "butt" part. These competitions end up bordering really close. I remember bridge being less than a point difference out of 100 in determining 1st and 2nd place teams.
Just trying to give cookies the credit they deserve. And props to both teams for being on the frontier of the dance world. This is a historically significant time for dance. Glad to be a part of it.
