  • some of you may know that back in november of 2021 I messed up my low back causing some nerve issues known as sciatica, however this case was a little worse than the normal issues you hear about. I ended up losing most of my muscle mass from my knee down from the nerve being pinched so bad, here i am 6 months later still dealing with it but its gotten a little better. my muscle is coming back slowly, i am able to walk more normal now, my foot drop is improving and i am hoping this seat helps with the pain i experience on a daily basis. its hard enough dealing with pain but if i can get a more comfortable seat and still be able to ride its worth it. hope you enjoy the video...

    The install/upgrade vids are my favorite. I really hope this helps your back, and allows you to ride more.
    As you know, we deal with the same back issue. The uncomfortable seats are the one reason I didn't get a CanAm.
    Can't wait till next vid 😉😉

    Counting down till the subscriber ride! Pulling out Sunday morning to ride the southern trail systems then heading North to Ivy Branch to ride with the subscribers Friday morning. I put heated seats in my KRX. I highly recommend to anyone. One of the best add on I put in for the low cost. Makes for chilly/cold ride so much more comfortable.

    You will have to see how much water stays in the bottom of the seat at the back once you wash it. Some others videos Simpson seats hold water. May pay to drill a couple drain holes if it is a problem.

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  Před 2 lety +1

      It shouldn’t hold water. With a suspension seat there is no bottom to catch water. It’s all on mesh and bungees.

    Great vid
    Nice little mix of riding and wrenching on your channel
    I’ve got a list of goodies I’d like to get eventually but may wait till winter to get some of the stuff
    Do you only run oem belts or do you go aftermarket?

      Thank you, we have can and retractable harnesses for sheri and I but for the kids we went with stationary pro armor 2” harnesses.

      My bad. If your talking about drive we run oem and worlds best belt. We’ve had great luck with both of those.

    Nice Seats.....Does the Simpson seat sit higher than the stock seat???

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  Před 2 lety

      Ya, I go over some of that in this video. I ordered the low seat bracket kit. Even with the low kit it sits up an inch higher than stock.

    Nice seat's. This isn't seat related but on the rear drive hub mine stripped out like your wife's 5700 miles 570 hours any suggestions to help it live longer thanks

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  Před 2 lety +1

      Absolutely, take the axles out and clean the splines off and re grease it every once in a while. 1-2 times a year. Once Sheri’s went that’s what I’ve been doing to both of them and we’re now over 8200 miles and hers is still good and mine never went bad.

    I had been looking at the simpson seats also. just can't decide between the vortex II and pro sport? Also i'm a little worried about it sitting higher, because my rzr already has lack of cockpit room.

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  Před 2 lety

      I only sat 1 inch above stock height with mine but I ordered the low bracket kit. I would say go with the pro if your a bigger person it is 1-2 inches wider than the vortex.

  • @FishyOffroad

    How come you took off your fender flares?

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  Před 2 lety +1

      One reason is that we kept ripping them off and they were getting messed up every ride lol. The other reason is that I think they look better without flares.
