Ah, the day Freddy forever broke Lita's heart. Utterly beautiful (esp since it is raining where I am right now lol). I love that you appreciate the DiC music so much. And this is by far the most famous piece of music to come out of it (exempting the opening song ofc)

A song is much more than just sounds from a piano and a note being played by it's keys as it sends emotions to one person to another. If those longer notes and lighter notes could talk they would share that scene or experience that is forever marked and what came of it. everything from your lowest moments to the times when you felt most loved and happy. You bless us all by playing these experiences to us once again and it holds a special meaning for most people who have feelings captured by the song. This comment will be emotion filled, but I must make it. When I was 17 going on 18 I met someone tall, a lovely lady who I loved with all I had, the one I thought I would have, she easily was Jupiters hight. Yet, in my view, she was my Mercury - but - it did not work out, she left me, and as rain came down, on a very lonely and long bus ride back to where I was stationed (I had joined the milatary) - a number of songs were on a tape that I played that got me though that. I do not think this was one of them, but because it was raining, and because the song is about lost love, and the connection, even if slight - to that lady, well - this song makes me recall her, the bitter sweetness of that - long lost love one can never, ever have again. Will there be someone to stand by me in the rain? I do not know, but, maybe one day....
