Dude!! Rotting 'Crushed' is such an underrated album!! The production is so massive...possibly the heaviest recorded drum sound I've ever heard. The guitar tone is pulverizing (love the early 90s dark Swedish DM melodies in there). Also, Kory's vocals are so gutteral and powerful!! I actually ordered 'Crushed' from Relapse Records back in 1999 as I was really into Canadian DM at that time (Gorguts, Necromortis, Kataklysm, Obscene Crisis, Solus, etc). Waiting for a reissue with bonus Rotting demo tracks!!

I got the ERYTROSY cd shortly after it came out. It’s a monster of an album, totally forgotten these days. INTERNAL BLEEDING went all down hill after their debut. The demos, if you get the chance to hear them, blew the scene away and their album was massively anticipated as a result. SCATTERED REMNANTS got a good reviews at the time but I didn’t feel the material justified it, personally. I think I’ll go check out ROTTEN now... that sounded pretty good.
Glad to see Scattered Remnants so high on the list. I love everything that band has released, they got brutal death down to a science. I also wasn’t familiar with rotting but checked out that album and that shit absolutely slaps

early/mis 2000s BDM is underrated. It's not "oldschool" so it's not trendy, but back then bands still had their own identity and things hadn't yet become completely sterilized. And even slam was still atmospheric and disgusting, none of this dudeweed 420 bro slam.

Good music taste bro, really good bands and albums, I like to hear all types of music and find a good thing in each one, but definitely my favorite genre is metal and of course brutal death metal, oldschool brutal death, goregrind, grindcore, deathgrind. It's my stuff

I would have to include the OG Deprecated ', Deriding His Creation', Pentagoria '...And The Sky Bled Gore', Inveracity 'Circle of Perversion' and Dehumanized 'Prophecies Foretold'. Probably Colonize The Rotting, and Eternal Suffering 'Drowning In Tragedy' as well

Defeated Sanity sounds nothing like how they did before, they became bigs names with their progressive-tinged jazzy BDM, and I’d mostly say the same for Afterbirth, who with In But Not Of has changed massively from their releases before. Wormed could also be called old-school since they released their first demo in 1998, but once again they changed a lot from Planesphaerium to Exodromos. I hope that clears stuff up.

I personally love Technical death metal and dsbm. Bands I personally love: Archspire Cattle Decapitation Dying Fetus Venom Prison Spawn of Possession So many more.. I've been a metalhead for over a decade. I listen to all subgenres of metal as long as the band is awesome!
"A lot of slam freakin' sucks nowadays" couldn't agree more with that postulate. Back then bands were pushing forward and introducing new elements all the time. Now they all use the same patterns being Indonesia the capital of uninspired slam (can count with the fingers of one hand the good Banda coming from there).
One thing though about Internal Bleeding, I think it's interesting that you talk about imitating it but you didn't talk about the band that it imitated & started it all "Suffocation" what do you think?!
MDK - forensic is on my top ten of all time same with Internal bleeding. One NYDM band that i wish stayed together was Repudilation "purging of impurity" is one of sickest slam demo's ever produced in my opinion they made the blue print for bands that lay ahead. Wish they got to release a full length back in the day.

"A lot of slam freakin' sucks nowadays" couldn't agree more with that postulate. Back then bands were pushing forward and introducing new elements all the time. Now they all use the same patterns being Indonesia the capital of uninspired slam (can count with the fingers of one hand the good Banda coming from there).
One thing though about Internal Bleeding, I think it's interesting that you talk about imitating it but you didn't talk about the band that it imitated & started it all "Suffocation" what do you think?!

MDK - forensic is on my top ten of all time same with Internal bleeding. One NYDM band that i wish stayed together was Repudilation "purging of impurity" is one of sickest slam demo's ever produced in my opinion they made the blue print for bands that lay ahead. Wish they got to release a full length back in the day.
