The boy who drowned was six years old and couldn’t swim. Apparently his parents sued both the owners and the supervisors for this trip, but my question is why on earth would you send your child that cannot swim to a water park? What did they think was going to happen?

Parents should not have allowed him to go if he couldn't swim, simple as that, I wouldn't allow my kids to go somewhere that if they couldn't swim. Seems a bit of passing the blame. It's really sad that the boy sadly died on what should of been a fantastic day out. It is not the responsibility of the park owners to watch everyone, there responsibility is make sure the equipment is safe and all equipment marked for rules and regulations. Good that its being reused as something else.
We had a bad accident here in the uk, a car on a rollercoaster had stopped and another behind it crashed into it causing catastrophic injuries to the passengers, in this case the park was liable, but haven't closed down.

They should fence off the pools, turn into Koi/Fish ponds, lush gardens with misting sprinklers cooling folks off....I can imagine hundreds, thousands folks enjoying the Koi Gardens!...perhaps a butterfly cage, like Butterfly world in Florida. We live in Oregon, go to the Fla keys twice a year for 30 yrs and always enjoyed a day at Butterfly World.

This is in SWMO. Not really the target market. We like McDonald's and Jesus round these parts.

Some kid with fogged goggles is gonna go right down that slide at the 2:00 minute mark 😎 And the face at 3:47 is the face I make when I take out speedi-bois. Seriously tho, I gotta get to that park some day.
