      Dirt racing is more about torque and hooking up/handling on shorter tracks. The 3 wheel motion is mostly setup but yeah he's probably 400-450hp. Depends on rules and such for engine. Also depends on who you know at some tracks!

    • @jasonsimmons6684
      @jasonsimmons6684 Před 2 lety

      Depends on setup for track length. So final drive ratio. Example if you run a 1to1 drive gear, which is common 3rd gear in 3spd or 4th in 4spd or drive in pg or th350, then it's the rear end gear like say 6.20 gear. Final drive is 6.20. You calculated your trans gear ratios with your ring and pinion gear ratios to get final drive. Longer track needs taller final drive. Shorter track needs lower final drive.

    47 and 74 both have offset chassis and all the others do not. I say that's not right for the other drivers in that class.

    • @justinearley7728
      @justinearley7728 Před 3 lety

      What makes you think that they are offset?

    • @sidebite2533
      @sidebite2533 Před 2 lety

      Wrong. The Street Stock class requires a GM OEM stock frame or a Manufactured Metric Frame.
      Shocks must be mounted in the factory location.
      Etc....the only reason they look "Off Set" is due to the body panels being mounted on the door bars rather than angle support rails that petrude further away from the door bars to fill out the sides

    • @horsepower711
      @horsepower711 Před rokem

      They're not running offset chassis, the rules require a full perimeter frame but doesn't say anything about running a rail straight from the front clip at the bend to the front of the rear clip at the kick up. We were doing it to the Chevelle's back when these metric chassis cars were showroom new. But what do you think they're doing with the Camaro and Nova chassis that just have a straight rail front clip but allow frame connectors to make them "safer"?

    Left front least important tire in dirt racing, but if you didn't drive over the 31s right rear and ruin his night you wouldn't have torn up your shit like that. Idk that dude but I lost a little respect for him as soon as that happened. Was no need for it at all with a fast car like that. Kinda glad he didn't win. Hopefully he just made a mistake but he seemed to have pretty good car control until his tire went down any how. 31 couldn't buy a break after that it seems.

      Neither,Oregon track rules,believe it or not all of the Oregon track differ in street stock class rules slightly in some way.The Iron Giant Series(Washington and Oregon and one race in N.Cal.)was created in 2017 to simplify things to create a series that allows for a lot of cars to participate.Higher car counts and a $1000 to win purse.$100 to start A-Main.

      That's cool, your not too far out.I really can't quote you any rules except for their is a weight minimum and if you have a crate motor you get a weight break.Although I can point you in the right direction to the Iron Giant fb page."Road To The Iron Giant Street Stock Series" Fb page.They have a website that you has the rules package on there.
      If you have an IMCA Stock Car,Sunset speedway(near Portland,Oregon is having about 18 race nights this year.
